THIRTY- TUTOR
By now, it was noontime. We were sitting on the grass,in one of the famous nature parks in port-harcourt. laying on each other's shoulders as we stared into the fading blue clouds which was slowly getting replaced with dark clouds
" how did you find out about this place?" She asked
I titled my head a little.recalling when I was five years old and I needed to get some air.I usually came around here with my dad.those days we were abit close, until he started drifting apart
" when I was five, I usually came here with my dad "I replied
" do you and your dad still come here?"she asked in a whisper tone
" not anymore"I replied.she said nothing for awhile before speaking again
" sometimes. I wonder how it is to have a father"
I turned to her "where's your dad?"I asked softly. She shrugged, chuckling
"Don't know..never met him"
I didn't want to probe futher, probably she may not be willing too and besides, I don't want to ruin the moment
" just like me..I don't know my mum, never saw her"I said with a sigh
She chuckled "who made the dishes we had today?"
"Nanny" I replied and her lips formed into an 'o' shape
" that's..that was good too "she complimented and I smiled
"Thanks on Nanny's behalf " I replied and she laughed
" hey! sing for me?" I asked. She pouted, sitting up to stare at me
" No"
"Please..." I begged and she laughed
" I thought you will steal this one"
I smirked at her teasingly "don't make me do it "
She gave me a stink eye "stop this bad habit of yours?"
" what nau?" I pouted
"Always kissing me" she replied, looking away and I laughed
"Bad habits are addictive, I can get used to that "I replied smirking as she laughed
"Bad influence"
" yours sincerely"i replied with a curt more bow which made me giggle.
I brought my colour pallet as I set my canvas propped on the board.sketching a drawing on the canvas .minutes later she had already started singing perfect_ed sheeran
Honestly, I've never been a fan of that perfect song.but hearing her sing it effortlessly was like she was bringing out a captivating personality which you never knew that you had.i didn't even notice that i had quit drawing to listen to her sing.
How could someone be this perfect, she was really amazing, her voice was magical and alluring.she was simply amazing.
A light snap of her fingers jerked me out of my reverie
"Are we okay?"she asked abit concerned.
We?
"We?"I asked, something about the 'we' weirdly made me feel happy
She nodded "yes we"
I smirked at her,touching the brush on the tip of her nostrils
"Of course we are" I replied and she yelled with a playfully scrunched up face
" ahh..dozie nau"
I smirked mischeviously "it's high time you started calling me sweet names "
She snorted "in your dreams "
I smirked,using the brush at the tip of her nostrils again making her yelp
I laughed at her expression while she gave me a stink eye "lemme see what you drew?"she asked
"Never" I replied. This time she was quick to grab the brush and colour pallet,as she rubbed the brush on my nostrils making me gasped
"What?!" I asked.she stood up abruptly with a smirk
"Catch me if you can" with that she sprinted off with me chasing behind her.
Minutes after we were laughing and panting so hard as we laid on the grassy carpet...this was simply the best day ever.
"thanks alot dozie..you were really fun today" she said when I had dropped her off.
I grinned at her "of course I'm fun.what did you expect"I said snickering and she huffed
"Be sweet na..ah ah.." she said laughing "at least I'm grateful you didn't get us killed sha " she said and I laughed
" goodnight chin chin.." I said. She sighed, taking a step closer to me as she planted a soft kiss on my lips, turning to go.
I held her hands back."you know I have an idea?"I said with a smirk
" which is?"
"Ditch the night and spend it all night, making out."I said and she laughed
" now that's the perv in you speaking"she replied and we both laughed
I stared at her again. I was slowly getting addicted to her."goodnight meera " i said after some minutes of just gazing at ourselves
She didn't say anything. Instead she smiled and walked in.I felt a genuine smile crawl on my lips as I watched her close the door behind.
Seconds later, my phone beeped. It was a message from meera.I smiled subconsciously
Goodnight dozie. And drive safely

I smiled again. A wider smile as I sent the love emoji before swerving my car into action.

It had been three weeks since the date.three amazing weeks of getting to know each other more, to be honest, dozie and I seemed to be rolling on fine, sandwich thought we were a pair made for each other.she wasn't wrong.
Honestly, this felt all weird at first but i was pulling through and much to the safety of my health, he had become my addiction.
" what's going to happen nau.i can't afford to fail this maths now " sandwich whined
Esther had just finished sharing our test scores, well I got 35/40.it was a part of our C.A before the exams which were just at the coner, soon we'd be on holiday.
Annette got 30/40..if you ask me she was just whining about nothing when there were people like Kojo and his crew who got from 25- 0
" come don't carry your headache close to me. You even tried na" I said eyeing her
" you're mean "she pouted and I smirked, turning to dozie
"What did you score?"
" 38/40" he replied showing me his scripts. I smiled proudly at him
"Cool "
"As in..genius guy "he whined himself and I laughed
"Ode..always feeding your ego.." I replied.we both laughed it off.I turned to Adam
" oga? "
He smirked showing me his score "39/40" I gasped, sandwich gulped in astonishment
"See!!.." she cried dramatically.I patted her back soothingly
" oya ...it's okay, this is test.just assure yourself that you'll do better in exams okay?"I said
She faked a sniff "are you sure?"
I stared at her, swiping her head with my hands "werey. Are you asking me?"
She chuckled "anyway. I'll try"then she turned to Adam with a pointed glare
" Adam..starting tomorrow. Your my tutor"
I glanced at her "come oh..are you sure you really want to pass?"I asked her and she smiled
"I want to and that's why he's my tutor"she replied calmly
"Don't joke with yourself Annette, I never agreed"Adam protested and from then onwards, they began arguing about it.
I laughed at their actions,scanning around the class for a particular face, he was not in class, instead I got rewarded to see Clara standing with her ever disdainful glare at me
"I'm sure you're feeling like a princess cause you think, you have the guys attention" she spat frosting
I stared at her with a smirk "Clara...you know what?" i asked still smirking
" what?!" She asked icily
"shock me.." I replied "shock me Clara.say something intelligent for once"
Her face contorted into more frowns which made me smile more
She scoffed, glaring at me"that sounds weird coming from you"she replied
I titled my head in a sassy manner "did it? Wow.you're really smart then"I replied sacarstically
She huffed in annonyance stomping away.I hissed at her. She'll never get tired of starting what she cannot finish.
