Chapter 97: Chapter 97

Sarah gets startled and her eyes turned foggy when she saw a girl suddenly came between her and her husband and hugged her husband.

The entire Walters family's eyes widen in shock when Stefan was hugged by someone else that too in front of Sarah. What is this going on and how this new event will affect Sarah's mood.

Everybody looked at Sarah, who was standing dumbfounded, with no expression. Julia took two steps ahead to ask what is this going on but before that, they all heard the girl was mumbling to Stefan.

"Stefan, Ahh, I able to see you after many years. You know I was looking for you for so long. This Christmas evening is the best evening of my life, I got my love back."

Got my love back?

What is that? What is she talking about, and who is she? Not only Sarah and family members but in fact, Stefan was also confused because he has not seen the girl's face yet.

Stefan being confused and frown broke the hug and saw the girl's face, which drained his face color.

"Valerie?"

Valerie, is she Valerie Cooper? Everybody knows this name in Walter's family.

Valerie Cooper, Stefan's ex-girlfriend because of whom all revenge plans of Stefan have started, isn't she dead?

All family members and more than Sarah were gobsmacked, listening to Valerie's name.

"Valerie, I thought you are......," Stefan couldn't able to complete his words.

His emotions were especially complicated at this moment.

"No Stefan, I am alive. I don't know how somebody has saved me and I have been slipped into a coma. It's not long before I regain my composure and since then I was recuperating in the hospital."

"Even I thought you have been killed in that fatal attack on the way to public affairs bureau and lost all my interest in life but two weeks before I saw you in the city hospital. I got my life back."

"Today only I got a discharge from the hospital and I asked about you from hospital staff they knew Stefan Walter very well they gave me your address, and as soon as possible from me I came to you. Stefan, I got you back." Valerie said excitedly and hugged Stefan again without giving him time to refute.

Sarah's heart was sore with the scene, but she doesn't want to let her emotions take over her senses. She walked towards Stefan and Valerie and gently depart them from the hug. Valerie's face frowned when she was separated from Stefan by a woman.

"Stefan, bring your guest in," Sarah said in a hoarse voice and moved from there.

Valerie dislikes the word guest for herself. She is not any guest in Stefan's life but she can't say anything yet, in front of his family.

Sarah didn't even take two steps but Stefan stopped her holding her hand and Valerie noticed their moments which irked her and at that exact moment an unknown hatred appeared in her heart for the woman standing near Stefan and he was holding her hand.

"Valerie, let me introduce you to her. She is Sarah, my wife."

There is a kind of pride in Stefan's voice for Sarah. Everybody liked Stefan's way to deal with the situation, and Sarah's heart was thrilled.

Valerie was bewildered, listening that Stefan got married.

Even though she was ready to meet Sarah with a fake smile when Stefan was introducing them, her face color drained from listening to Sarah's intro.

"Stefan, you are joking, right? Since after many years your sense of humor is so boring." Valerie said with hope.

She was actually trying to maintain a false hope that Stefan can't move from her.

"No, Valerie, it's not any joke but truth," Stefan said straightforwardly.

At this moment Stefan's behavior for Valerie is actually ruthless and heartless, but he doesn't care. Stefan thought the more time he will take to disclose the truth to Valerie, the more hope will rise in her heart, which will be more painful for her with each passing minute.

Valerie felt her world turned upside down before. The last hope of her being alive is also trampled by this cruel world. She couldn't take it anymore. Her head started reeling, and the next moment she collapsed. Sarah and Stefan were standing near to her before she could fall they both held her, Stefan picked her in his arms and walked towards the guest bedroom leaving stunned Sarah behind.

Stefan was just helping poor Valerie who probably suffering from bad health. He made her lay down on the bed and called to the doctor.

After sometimes the doctor was checking Valerie inside the room, Stefan was waiting outside the room.

All family members were sitting in the living hall with gloomy faces. Between all this Sarah was busy with something instructing servants.

"Oh Lord Jesus, why all this is happening in my children's life." Julia held her head and said remorsefully.

"Julia has faith in God, nothing will go wrong this time," Andrew said.

Even though Stefan told Valerie about his wife, he was nervous for Valerie when she collapsed.

His deep feelings for Valerie back in the past compel him to revenge on his own family. Which scared everybody except for Sarah. She is the only person who has a complete belief in Stefan's love.

Stella then noticed something and point towards Sarah. "Mom, look at Sarah. What is she doing?"

Sarah was actually decorating socks near the fireplace and a servant was standing near her with a tray in hand with socks and a glass of milk and another servant behind was packing some gifts.

Stella walked towards Sarah, put a hand on her shoulder, and asked, "Sarah, what are you doing?"

"Stella, I am decorating the fireplace. This is my first Christmas eve with Stefan and my family members I want to celebrate it fully. You also help me."

Stella nod seeing Sarah's positive attitude even when her heart was sore, and she started helping.

Everybody was once again enthusiastic about seeing Sarah's positivity.

"That's great, now we should also prepare the cake cutting, what say elder sister?" Amy said to Julia.

"Don't worry mom, the cake has been arranged, but before that, I want to visit our family temple," Sarah said.

Everybody liked Sarah's idea.

"Alright, we all will visit together. What say, mom?" Ronald said excitedly and looked at Julia and she nods in agreement.

Usually, they all visit the family temple the next day on Christmas morning, but if Sarah wants to visit now in the evening, then nobody will refuse her wish.

"Let's go then, what are we waiting for?" Carol said excitedly.

"I am waiting for Stefan."

Even though Sarah said in a normal tone and it's quite normal for her to wait for him, still a kind of gloominess appeared in her eyes when she said this.
