Chapter 33: Chapter 33
Lucian's POV
I clenched my fist in anger, and regret, where could I have gone wrong?
Okay, I can't just get worked up yet. Maybe she went to her friend's place.
I got into the car, preparing to drive myself there, but my driver didn't let me.
"Please sir, let me drive. You are in no condition to drive" my driver came close to me, as he tried to snatch the keys from my hand.
I bit my lips because he was right. I couldn't think straight not to talk more about driving.
I released the keys to him, as I got into the back of the car.
I went alone, no convoys were needed. I didn't want any attention.
"Is this the fastest the car can go?" I asked him, when I noticed that he wasn't fast enough. Or maybe I was too tense, and lacked patience.
"This is the speed limit for this road" he informed me, and I didn't care about any st*pid rule right now.
"Drive faster, or you let me drive.
That's an order" I spoke authoritatively, and he nodded his head as he stepped on it.
We soon got to her friend's house.
This time I was patient enough to let the driver stop the car. My patience did manage to run out when he tried to open the door for me, and I didn't let him.
"Havana!" I screamed her name, while I knocked on the door.
"Havana, I know you are in there, just come out now okay" I yelled at her. I didn't want to get mad at her. I just wanted us to talk.
I just wanted to see her face, I wanted to be at ease, I wanted to know she was okay.
"What the hell?" Stephanie opened the door for me, looking like a lost sheep.
"Havanna, please talk to me, You are driving me insane" I cried out, but I didn't hear any response.
"Havana isn't here" Stephanie informed me, and I chose not to believe her, because if she wasn't here then where else could she be?
"Stephanie, I know you are her friend, and you are trying to support her.
But, she is my wife and she cannot hide away from me forever. Just bring her out for me" I was almost on my knees, I couldn't think straight anymore, as I felt my heart in my stomach.
"Okay, I am sorry about that. But, the truth is that she is not here. She didn't even call me to tell me that she was coming, like she normally does' ' Stephanie told me, and my palm flew to my face.
"I can't do this right now….Havana!!!" I called out, as I began to search Stephanie's house.
She followed me, as she tried to stop me. Meanwhile, my driver stood outside waiting for the drama to be over.
"I told you she didn't come here, leave my house or I will..". She was talking, then she paused.
I looked at her like she just said something out of the ordinary. I know she wanted to threaten me that she would call the police, but the moment she remembered who I was. I'm sure her brain had given her some kind of warning.
"Lucian, Havana isn't here. Fine, go ahead, you can search all you want, but you aren't going to find her" She got tired of running after me in the house.
She was right, Havana truly wasn't in the house
If she isn't at home, and she isn't in Stephanie's house, then where could she be?
Lucian's POV
"Let's go" I got into the car, telling my driver as I slammed the door of the vehicle like it could never spoil.
"Where sir?" He had to ask since I was looking confused.
I even had to check the boot of the car, just to be sure she wasn't hiding there.
"To the office, I want to make a public announcement," I told him, and he only nodded.
"Call the Media. I want them to be at the office in an hour time maximum '' I spoke over the phone, and hung up immediately.
It didn't take too long for them to show up.
I needed to address the public as soon as possible. For all I know, Havana must have gotten herself in some kind of trouble.
But, I cannot announce to the public that my wife is missing, people who are against me, might end up getting to her before I do.
I know exactly what I am going to say.
By the time we got there, the media had already set their cameras up, waiting for the announcement I was about to give.
I cannot believe that they got here before us, and still set everything up before we even reached. It's either my driver drives too slowly, or these people have magical powers.
"Good day to everyone present here, and those watching me from different parts of the country. I have gathered you here to announce a seventy-two-hour lockdown.
In the next seventy hours, no one is allowed to leave their house except for medical reasons. The borders and airports will be closed. Nobody is allowed to come in, and no one leaves.
A fine of fifty thousand dollars awaits individuals who go contrary to my words. Any airport still functioning within the next forty-five minutes will be closed down immediately.
Owners, partners, and associates of such airports will be made to pay a fine of one million dollars. All these orders are due to security reasons, thank you" I said, leaving the stage immediately.
My security had already gotten to the scene, as they pushed the crowd that gathered me away.
A lot of journalists and other media personnel wanted to ask me questions concerning my orders, but I didn't want to answer any.
In no time everywhere was shut down. No one could leave, and no one could come in either. This would make it way easier for me to find Havana, in case she is actually in trouble.
