Chapter 34: Chapter 34
Lucian's POV
It was time for me to wait for her to return, if she does not return by sunset today then I will lead a team to search for her. I waited patiently for her return. Some time passed and it was 11 pm already. She has never stayed out so late.
If she hadn't gotten herself into any kind of trouble then she would have surely called me to come pick her up.
Her phone was still switched off, and my doubts were finally confirmed.
My wife is in desperate need of my help.
Where exactly I'm going to start the searches, not as if her phone was on for me to be able to locate it. I hadn't even started my search for her yet, and I so much wanted to give up.
Karina's POV
"You said you will call me tomorrow, Why are you calling me tonight?" I picked up my phone after it had been ringing continually.
"And why won't I call you, when your cousin has decided to make things difficult for us? Do you think you can make him lift the lockdown, even if it is for just a few hours?.
We need to move her from this place, and we can't do that with hundreds of policemen on the street, keeping an eye out.
"Yeah, sure I can. You know we have been the best of friends for so long. He is going to listen to me, and do whatever I ask of him, because he loves me so much.
Are you guys so dumb? If you cannot do your job, then you say so '' I hung up immediately, looking at my door just to check if someone was eavesdropping on my conversation.
You can never be too careful when it comes to things like this, especially in a house like this where everyone is at each other's neck. I must not give anyone information that they can use against me.
"Everyone in this house is to switch off their cell phones'' I heard Lucian announcing, as he walked around the house.
Is he serious right now? So because his wife chose to be careless. We are now going to pay the price for it, how romantic.
"What the hell? '' I cursed when I noticed that he had turned off the internet already. The phone was completely useless. No, I mean what does he expect me to do without the internet? First the lockdown, and now this bullshit behavior?.
I couldn't take it anymore as I came out of my room screaming at the top of my lungs late at night.
"Lucian, if you want to go in search of your wife. Why don't you just do it peacefully, and let us breathe? You can't punish us, and the entire country because your wife is missing!!" I scolded him, and that was the first time I was having a direct conversation with Lucian.
" Who are you to tell me what to do in my own house, and in the country I am president of?. And what punishment are you talking about?" he questioned.
"What do you stand to gain by turning off the internet connection, and making us switch off our phones as well?" I was the only one brave enough to ask him such questions.
"A lot, I stand to gain so much by doing this. And what right exactly do you have to be questioning the decisions I make in my own house? Don't forget that you are staying here at my mercy. This is my house, hence my rules.
If you are uncomfortable with it you can just leave" he grabbed my elbow, trying to scare me.
But I knew Lucian way too well to be frightened by him.
Lucian's POV
"That does not mean, you have the right to treat me and everyone else as though we are animals. We are human beings, and hence have the right to be treated as such" She responded, still standing her ground.
She wasn't even scared of what I could do to her, not even in the slightest.
"I can treat you specifically in any way I feel like treating you. Whether or not you like the way you are being treated is none of my concern" I said, pushing her to the ground, and that was when I saw the fear in her eyes.
I had been craving that look in her eyes, for so long, that it made me smile when I finally saw it.
"Don't forget what happened the last time, you tried to challenge me '' I told her, as she struggled to get up from the floor. She couldn't even stand to look me in the eyes anymore.
Havana was wrong, Katrina hasn't changed, not even in the slightest. I feel she has become even worse than she was initially.
No one in the house dared to protest against my orders, but she was so brave to speak against my orders.
She was the only one who it bothered the most, and it got me wondering if she had something to hide.
I can never just trust Katrina when it comes to anything. She is capable of every despicable thing that can ever be thought off on earth.
Havana's POV
Everywhere was so dark, and I couldn't move my hands or legs, it felt as if something was restricting my movements.
I looked around very confused, only to be surrounded by more darkness, as I just kept turning my neck.
How did I end up like this? My head was aching miserably, as I tried to recall what had happened. I had barely gotten out of the taxi when a man came to ask for directions.
I didn't know the place that well. I tried to explain to him, but he didn't listen as he walked with me on the street. I was trying to get into another taxi that would take me straight to Stephanie's house, and yet he kept following me.
