Chapter 11: Chapter 11

Edward Couldn't stay home that day, he left with some of his boys to their secret spot, he met the leader of their group, the drug lord himself, who thought he had come to get some drugs to distribute, as he is the distro around new Jersey, but seeing how worried he looked, he thought they had been bursted.

"Our own very doctor, what brings you? He asked, but Edward was in no mood to answer him in their usual way.

"Something is happened Joe, I am in big trouble". He says, grabbing a seat to move close to him, while Joe's guards stood in alert, Incase something is about to happen.

"What is the problem? He asked calmly, after making sure, Edward is alone.

"It's Samantha, she is kidnapped my daughter, and Mary". Joe stared confusingly at Edward, then he laughed hysterically, before looking at him again, only to see that, Edward's look didn't change, he had to calm down and ask again.

"How can Samantha, who is hiding her face, kidnap your daughter and your nanny? If she is giving you troubles, you should deal with her again, the same way you dealt with her before". He says, puffing his smoke on Edwards face, while Edward shakes his head, trying to say, he doesn't understand at all.

"You don't get it Joe, she came back with a stronger force behind her. There is a gang or group that is backing her up and that group, is what I need to know. They need to be eliminated, before she gets even more powerful". Joe was now interested in what he was saying, as he sat up, moved his body closer to Edward and asked.

"What is the group like?

"First, she sent her men to get my daughter and Mary to meet with her, and she returned them, when I tried finding out from them, they lied to me, I learnt the truth, and wanted to punish Whitney by taking her to my parents, but as if they were in my house, some men on cop's uniform stopped me, and then took me and my men away for questioning, I thought they were taking me to the station, but they didn't, they diverted into the woods, dropped me and my men there, then warned me, and also said I should wait for their message, when I got back home, my daughter and Mary were gone. Again". Joe was standing up now, he looked around him, before looking back at Edward.

"You are really in trouble, you need to go back home, tell your men to search all around the house. I think your house is bugged".

"Joe I need you to help me find out those helping her". Edward says, for he thinks that is the first issue that needs to be taken cared of.

"I will do my work from here, just go back and do as I say". He says and watch as Edward left his inn. He sure looks very scared, and somehow, Joe is scared too. If Edward goes down, he might mention his name, and already the city is looking for them, but they see them always without knowing that they are the ones they are looking for.

Edward got home and did as he had been told, but he found nothing, his men too, none of them found anything out of the ordinary, he sat on his couch exhausted from searching all day, when he heard a knock on his door. He had never been so scared before, he even cancelled all his appointments, as he was not in the frame of mind, to attend to patients.

He grabbed his gun, then moved slowly towards his window, he gently opened the curtains, and noticed that it was a young dispatch Rider, standing outside. He was about to ring the door bell, when Edward gently opened the door,

"Good evening sir, I have a package here for Dr Edward". He says, while Edward hid his gun behind, received the package, signed and shut the door, to the surprise of the Rider.

He didn't want to open the package, he stared at the package for long, and concluded that it must be a bomb or something, but after staring at it for long, and shaking the package, he decided to open it. He called one of his men, and ordered him to open the box, which he did, and that was when he realized that it was just an envelope. He dismissed his guard, then gently unveil the content in the envelope and it was pictures of him, violently dragging his daughter, and how he pushed Mary, making her hit her head, against the wall. The last image was that of him and Joe just few hours ago. Now he believes that his house is really bugged. He dropped the pictures, and looked around him, but nothing was out of the ordinary. Behind the last picture was a note, he opened it and read it. It was the same message he had heard earlier that day.

'Go home, and wait patiently for our message'. Edward have never been this scared before, he was still looking round, when he heard another knock on the door. This time, he was totally going to loose his mind. He was alone in his house, his daughter is missing, and he cannot report to the police, because of the evidences against him, he also cannot sleep, because he might wake up in prison, for his involvement with the black guys gang.

Like before, he went to the window, to see who it is, that is knocking, and it was a man on suit, there were other men behind him, he couldn't trust men on suit again, but he recognized one of them, he is a friend of the family, so he opened the door, and welcomed them in, but they were not interested in coming in, they just handed him a letter, and also, went ahead, to explain the letter.

"You are to show up in court tomorrow, your ex wife and kid will be there. The letter you have in hand has all the details". Edward didn't want them to just go without asking them questions.

"Where are they now?

"That is not an information for your consumption, just be at the high court tomorrow. 9am. You can call your lawyer, if you wish". He says and left.

Edward's heart was beating fast, he was totally done for, and he still doesn't know how Samantha was able to hit him this hard.
