Chapter 15: Chapter 15
As the clock kept going forward and soon the lunch break came. Celeste lazily got up from her seat and started gathering things in her purse to go to the nearest cafe to eat her lunch. She didn't eat much at breakfast so she was very hungry. When she came out of her office room she found Diana already standing at the entrance, waiting for her. Diana noticed Celeste's presence and waved at her happily. Celeste smiled before making her way towards her.
"Where's Louisa?" Celeste asked as soon as she reached where Diana was waiting for her. Diana frowned before answering.
"I don't know. I haven't seen her since morning." Diana replied while keeping her phone in her purse. Celeste frowned and nodded before they both started moving towards the exit.
"Do you have any plans for tonight?" Diana asked Celeste while walking through the streets. Celeste thought for a moment before answering.
"No. Why?" She asked as they soon entered the cafe and sat on their usual seat. Diana didn’t speak up til she sat down opposite to Celeste. She lazily kept her bag on the table and then looked at Celeste with a grin on her face. Celeste stared at her with a confused expression.
"Let's go to the spa tonight. I have booked two appointments. Tomorrow is Saturday and the next day is your birthday. So you deserve a little pampering." Diana finished her sentence by pulling Celeste's both cheeks in the end.Celeste smiled and agreed. She was happy that in the small span of time she and Diana bonded so well and Diana cared for her. She was grateful to her.
"Thank you. That would be fun." Celeste answered with a smile. Diana nodded excitedly before they ordered their meals and started eating. Meanwhile Celeste took out her phone and sent Liam a text, telling him about her plans. But unfortunately Liam was busy and forgot to check his phone so she didn’t get any reply even after her office hour had ended. She had called him two times but he didn’t answer any of her calls. Celeste sighed, thinking he was busy she decided not to disturb him anymore. After her office hour ended she happily went to the spa with Diana.

It was almost 11 pm when Celeste was done with the spa. She didn’t realise it was so late until she came out of the spa and found Diana's boyfriend Evan standing outside, waiting for them. Evan smiled at them when he noticed their presence.
"Finally! I was waiting for you guys for half an hour. By the way, Celeste! How are you?" Evan said and then greeted Celeste with a smile. Meanwhile Diana moved towards him and hugged him. Evan kissed Diana's head lovingly before breaking the hug. Evan was a handsome man with bronze hair, blue eyes and a well built body. He was the cute next door neighbour type of boy. Celeste smiled at him before answering.
"I'm good. How about you? Is Mr Gilbert still giving you a hard time?" Celeste asked the last part a bit teasingly. Diana and Evan both laughed out loud.
"Oh don't mention his name. He's such a nasty old man! But I'm good." Evan replied with a smile and opened the car door for them. They all entered Evan's car before he started the car. They chatted till they reached Celeste's house. Diana had offered Celeste to stay in her house for the night but Celeste refused. After a while they reached Celeste's house and Celeste bid them goodbye before entering the elevator. In just a few seconds she reached the floor of her penthouse. She was a bit worried thinking if Liam was home or not. He didn’t call her back. After taking the deep breath she quickly typed the passcode and entered the house when it opened. The house was dim. Celeste frowned but didn’t switch on the lights instead she moved towards the kitchen and drank a glass of water because she was really thirsty. She then directly moved towards her room.
She was surprised when she opened the door of her room. The lights were on and Liam was working on his laptop on the sofa. Hearing the sound of the door opening, Liam looked up from his laptop and stared at Celeste for a while. Celeste was nervous thinking what he was going to say. But to her surprise he didn’t say anything at all. She simply averted his eyes and refocused on what he was doing before. Celeste sighed and moved towards the washroom to freshen up when Liam's word's stopped her.
"Where is your phone?" Celeste was startled by his booming voice all of sudden. She didn’t find her voice for a while. She turned back and found him already looking at her with a blank face.
"Uhm in my bag." Celeste replied and hurriedly went to pick her phone. When she took her phone out of her bag she was startled finding 7 missed calls of Liam. She also noticed her phone was on silent mode. She looked at Liam with guilty eyes before speaking.
"I'm sorry. My phone was on silent mode. I went to the spa with Diana and didn’t realise it would be so late. I tried to call you before but you didn’t pick up so I thought you were busy so I uhm-" She couldn’t finish her nervous rambling when Liam cut her off in the middle.
"Don't be so careless next time." He simply said with a stern tone making Celeste shiver. She was a girl who hated stern voices most. It made her upset and her eyes tear up. She looked down and tried to hold back her tears. She was sensitive to stern voices from her childhood. She hated it when people talked to her stern voices, especially her loved ones.
"I'm sorry. It won't happen again." Said softly while looking down. She waited for a while for Liam's response but didn’t get any so she looked up at him. Her heart sunk a bit when she found him looking at his laptop doing his work, ignoring her words. She sighed and slowly made her way towards the washroom. She sometimes hated herself for being so sensitive but she couldn’t help it. That was how she was and she wouldn’t dare to change a fact about it. She was just her. She was Celeste..
