Chapter 32: Chapter 32

My legs were rooted to the floor as the water cascaded down to my feet. Different beautiful soap and lotion scents, which include hibiscus, lavender, milk, etc., pervade my nose. The pitter-patter of the shower filled my ears; its water was streaming down my whole body.

It's hard to believe that I just had myself beaten up in a fight, and yes, many of the students had taunted me with it. No! I mean, it's now the most discussed topic in school right now.

I understand that my strength is weak, but knowing I'm this weak is a stab in the heart. Ugh! I just had to lose to that…

I ran my hand through my hair due to anger, and that messed up the bun hairstyle I styled earlier. Before I could process it, the hair fell down my back. Ugh.

I just don't understand why everything was pointed out as if Lorelei had deliberately targeted me, or was it Oswald's plan? Did I fail the second trial? The more I thought, the more I felt uneasy.

Ugh! I've never felt so distressed as I am currently… No! I can't be distressed.

Yes, I'm not a bit distressed; instead, my fighting spirit has increased as I've understood my level.

I swear that I won't be so weak next time. From now on, I'll train myself until I'm someone I can approve of. No matter what it takes, I promise that I won't be a weak omega wolf.

I clenched my fist hard to encourage myself, and doing so made the imaginary burden on my shoulder decrease a lot.

I sighed and wrapped myself in the white towel I picked up from my locker before I stepped into the female bathroom and began to dry my hair with a towel.

By now, there were only a few students in the bathroom, and none of them seemed to be interested in me. At least for the meantime.

I put on a new pair of piping straight-leg pants and a drop-shoulder tee after drying my hair and applying a bit of lotion to my skin, and then made my way to the school cafeteria while following the troops of chattering students who kept pointing at me subtly while sneaking glances at me.

'I thought she was very capable of being chosen by the beta, but it turns out that she's nothing but a pretty face and a weak omega. Do you know how easily Luna beat her up? She doesn't even have any defensive skills, not to mention any proper fighting skills. So weak.'

'Can you see how perfect she's keeping a straight face? I bet she's already crying inside.'

'Someone like her can only be the runt of the pack. I heard she's just a maid at Beta Wyatt's mansion…'

'Really? Tell me about it.'

I rolled my eyes and held my head straight; my hands were tucked in my pants lazily as I continued at my lazy pace, enjoying how the students exaggerated the fight between Lorelei and me and the relationship between Wyatt and me.

Thankfully, all of them were only whispering; none of them came forward to take action, and that was how it went until I arrived at the cafeteria.

Recalling the female teacher's words in the morning, I guess bullying is frowned upon in the Power Axis pack, which was the reason all of them could only result in whispering.

Upon stepping into the cafeteria, an enticing and drool-worthy aroma invaded my nose. I took a glance at the cafeteria, which was painted in a cool baby pink and white color, and I fell in love with its neatness and gorgeousness right that minute.

There were mismatched long tables and chairs neatly placed line by line.

On the first line sat Lorelei, the jocks, cheerleaders, and the famous, wealthy, and beautiful students.

The second line had Nancy, her cliques, and the average students.

The third line had bookworms and quiet people, while the other lines were filled with other students, some with their cliques.

On the right side of the cafeteria was an open counter displaying various expensive dishes with a menu board. And on the left side was another open counter displaying various dishes for the average student.

There were a few students at the counter holding plastic trays while the food attendants slopped the meals onto the plates.

I walked toward the open counter display on the right side of the cafeteria and picked up a plate before stretching my plate toward one of the food attendants, who was a student like me. She was putting on a white apron, face mask, glove, and cap.

The female attendant scrunched up her nose as if she had just scented something bad. A frown overtook her face, and she eyed me with disdain. "What do you want here, you weak omega?" She growled at me, her eyes filled with a malicious glint.

Although I knew that this person was likely to beat me up in a fight, I'm sure that none of them could touch me. After all, bullying seems to be frowned upon here. Besides, no matter how rumors spread, I'm still under Wyatt's wing.

I chuckled lazily and eyed her with equal contempt. "What do you serve here, you dumb food attendant?" I retorted in a lazy tone.

The food attendant scowled at me. Her hand clenched the spoon tightly, and she said, "You bitch, don't think too much of yourself. Just because you're under Beta Wyatt…"

"Exactly." I interrupted, and my expression switched to a cold one. "Just because I'm under Beta Wyatt's protection... Do you think I can't report such bullying to him?" I articulated with feigned seriousness.

"You dare!" She growled at me angrily, but soon her expression wavered, which shows that she was successfully threatened by my words.

As if knowing what I was thinking, she continued: "Don't think I'm fazed by your words. I only respect Beta. I don't put someone like you in the eyes at all." The food attendant finished with an angry scowl.

She began to scoop the meals into my plates and deliberately scooped half of the normal food quantities into my plates.

I didn't bother arguing with her since I couldn't even complete the quantity she scooped onto my plate. I'm used to worse when I'm at Red Flame Pack, so my intake has lessened a lot.

"So nice that you know the right amount. Thank you, sweetheart." I deliberately said in an innocent and sweet tone while donning a sweet smile on my face. I winked at her twice.

The female attendant scowled at me, but I didn't bother replying to her. I was about to turn when a figure suddenly bumped into me hard, almost making me fall if it weren't for the counter.
