Chapter 41: Chapter 41
The floor was shaking and the walls too. The tremors were such that one would have believed oneself in the full apocalypse.
Aisha looked at Greg from behind and smiled, the rumors weren't wrong, this kid had as much power in him as a hundred lycanthropes and that was no understatement.
The nature of his power was strange and even Scarlett, her sister who had chosen to leave the order to follow Elsa had reported it.
This young man had mysterious powers and this way of controlling living beings strangely reminded her of the special ability of bats to control blood in the vessels.
This ability allowing them to control their opponents was unique to those of this species. So seeing a lycanthrope using this faculty and with a unique specificity to this alpha was quite unprecedented.
Indeed, if the bats could just immobilize and this by using the blood in the body of their victims, the Alpha of the Soul Moon can impose his will on them as if he regulated their brains to obey him.
His gaze, the source of his Dominium according to rumors, plunged into that of his opponent manipulating his brain.
Any word he dictates will make his adversary react according to the direction he wanted to impose with his pheromones.
Another rare fact.
His pheromones act not only on lycanthropes but also on those of other species.
This kid is both powerful and dangerous.
If so, the kidnapper has been frozen in place and can't even move, paralyzed by fear.
She looked at Duke Vangard who had frowned and smiled, this man even if he looked like a braggart, he knew better than all of them here what was dangerous and when to get serious.
The whole town heard about the new leader of Clan Lycanthrope, despite the elders of this Clan, he had been the one who had imposed himself despite the criticisms and reservations of his congeners about his age.
But now that she sees him in action, she understands why they had no choice but to submit to his authority.
Even though she can't see his face under that silver mask, it's obvious that this young man has a unique charisma, and his mere presence commands respect.
Greg took a step forward as the kidnapper gritted his teeth.
"Fuck...what's going on?"
"Shut up."
Greg's voice was quiet and low, it sounded like he was whispering to a child, but the authority in his voice left no room for argument.
The man immediately closed his mouth even though his eyes seemed to be throwing daggers. It was obvious that he did not want to be silent but he was forced to do so by a mystical force.
He glared at Greg but found a blank stare behind the mask.
"I did not allow you to look at me then on your knees and look down."
Without waiting, the man found himself on all fours trembling as if a weight in tons was placed on his back preventing him even from lifting his head.
The scene was both startling and chilling as the other people in the room were silent.
Aisha and Duke Vangard moved closer on either side of Greg looking at the man at their feet and finally, the Duke spoke up.
"What do you intend to do now, master of the lycanthropes?"
Greg didn't answer the question and looked at the kidnapper.
"Who are you and for what purpose do you kidnap children of different species?"
The man clenched his teeth so hard that they began to grit but gradually and making a dumbfounded face, he opened his mouth forcing his jaw to come apart as he spoke despite himself.
" I am a lycanthrope ... A rogue who was once part of the Shield Of Rain pack. I just had to abduct these children and extract their blood to…"
He hadn't finished speaking when a shot rang out and pierced the man's skull, killing him instantly.
" Covered …"
Aisha screamed as the other witches hid behind walls, Vangard and his brother were also in hiding not knowing what kind of weapon it was, they opted for caution.
Only Greg was left standing looking down at where the shot had come from.
Dominium didn't just allow him to control living beings, no it went beyond that and only a handful of people knew about it.
His unique ability also allowed him to control his space allowing him both to see at great distances and to discern even hidden enemies.
To this effect, he was able to see three figures with balaclavas on a building roof a good distance from their building and one of them had a weapon shape similar to a sniper rifle.
As soon as they realized they had shot the kidnapper, they turned their backs, not without the sniper giving Greg one last look.
"A problem ?"
"No... I must make up my mind"
" Ideas ?"
" The leader of Clan Lycanthrope... I have the impression that he saw us."
"You do indeed have ideas. It is impossible that at this distance he can see us. We are nearly two kilometers from their building."
The man frowned before following his companions.
Greg couldn't get to their level in time and so his power couldn't reach them so he had to let them go.
He looked at the body of the kidnapper before blowing. What bad luck, he could have informed them about what is going on in this city but hey, if his allies killed him that means that the secret behind these kidnappings is much more appalling than he thinks.
The Shield of Rain is this pack that his father destroyed on a whim but that he hates out of resentment. So they're never going to stop hurting this town? It's off-putting.
He turned to Aisha and Duke Vangard and seeing their serious looks, he understood that they too knew that this story was much more serious than expected.
" I suggest that we meet to talk about it as soon as possible. Given that master lycanthrope that within your pack there are people who have fun playing tricks on us, I suggest contacting each other directly."
" I guess it's a good idea."
Aisha nodded before giving each Clan leader an amulet allowing them to talk with others at any time.
"Alright, so we'll go."
Greg nodded before he felt his heart burn in his chest.
" master lycanthrope?"
Aisha asked but Greg turned swooping down the stairs with one thought in mind.
Sophia is in danger.
