Chapter 141: Chapter 141

I gulped after drawing attention to myself. Everyone looked at me interested and I felt more and more drained.

Now that I know how precious my alfe nature can be, I feel like a complete idiot for so easily handing over my blood to Jessy knowing they would use it for their experiments.

But at that moment, I didn't think, all that mattered to me was rescuing Stacy, no matter what. That's right, I could have just knocked Jessy out, driven away with Stacy, and saved those innocent victims that ended up being used as experiments to create those damn mutants, and now they're all dead.

But at that moment, so obsessed with my thirst for revenge, I only thought of the easier alternative, and now I fear I have surely delivered Capital City to a greater threat.

" What's happening? What did you do?"

Greg asked me the question and I pursed my lips.

" Some time ago, Jessy gave me an appointment to get up the name of the Alpha of Soul Moon. He took me to a secret lair and I found a bunch of humans there. They were abducted for their experiments. These are the humans who were turned into mutants…"

I lowered my head as Aisha and Duke Vangard rose to their feet as if stung. Even Chad looked livid as I could imagine their thoughts. If I knew what was going on, why didn't I speak sooner?

"Master of the lycans, what your Luna has hidden is a serious crime. The treaty of peace and non-aggression with humans is clear, any creature involved directly or indirectly in this kind of business must be harshly sanctioned."

Duke Vangard spoke as I lowered my head. They're right, I was so stupid, my revenge made me make terrible decisions but I had no choice. I would have liked to denounce them but that would also have put me in an impasse since I am one of them, at least by descent.

I shuddered as I looked up at Greg who looked like he was in an awkward position. I never wanted to put him in this kind of situation, all I wanted was to do justice to my parents. Maybe my approach was stupid.

"I see, Sophia, would you mind telling us what happened next?"

Greg spoke calmly as Aisha sighed. She imagines that this girl must have had a special reason to hide such a secret even if it will be detrimental to them later. Chad couldn't believe his ears. He's always known that Sophia is a self-absorbed bitch but at this level, he doesn't know what to think anymore. He heard her sigh before continuing.

" Among the abducted humans, there was someone dear to my heart. My childhood friend, Stacy."

When Chad heard that, he looked up sharply, beginning to understand Sophia better. Even though she's a bad bitch, Stacy has always been like a sister to her. She would have done anything so that no one would ever hurt her since kindergarten.

"What is Stacy doing here?"

Chad asked the question and I nodded.

"She had admission to a school in the city but was kidnapped when she arrived in the city. I couldn't ask Jessy to free all humans, I wanted to help everyone but I was tied hand and foot so I decided to save only one person. At least Stacy. But Jessy didn't want to release her without consideration so I had to give up some of my blood. I'm sorry."

I lowered my head in guilt before hearing the Duke's voice.

"Why are you even in relation with this type of person, queen of the lycans? It seems absurd."

Greg wanted to get up but I held out my hand to him to calm down.

" Because I'm part of the pack which is threatening the city. At least my mother was her Alpha's daughter. She fell in love with an alfe and they both ran away but unfortunately, she was killed not long ago, and not knowing anything about the creature world, I was taken to her family finding out they are outcasts. I feared for my life and I hid the secret of my origins."

The two Clan leaders sighed before looking at Greg. The latter took my hand and it was finally Chad who spoke.

" I understand Sophia, I will support you in front of the hunters. Now we have to find a way to get rid of these dangerous people. What do you recommend dear Clan leaders?"

The Clan leaders looked at each other in agreement before Greg spoke.

"A preemptive attack. Now that we know who they are and where they are hiding, it's time to stop their actions."

Greg looked at me and I nodded.

" I am ready to make amends to expiate my faults. I'll lead you to all of their hideouts, at least the ones I know of, not including where the Shield of Rain has taken refuge. You can also use Jessy to find my grandfather."

Everyone nodded without knowing they were being spied on. It looked like a slimy worm that quickly slithered into the dirt. Further on, a man with a fragile figure and delicate face smiled as the worm wrapped around his finger.

" So that's what you're hiding dear Clan leaders... Well, it won't be wise for our plans to be at your ease."

He picked up a gem before making a call.

" Yes Master André, I have just heard a rather interesting conversation that could compromise our plans."

The man recounted what his worm heard and the other man at the end of the transmission sighed.

** I see, so my granddaughter turns out to be as much a disappointment as her mother. But it does not matter since the preparations are already ready. We're just going to rush things a bit. This city will soon be ours. Thank you for this crucial information, leader of the ghouls.**
