Even his parents were deceived by Lindsay they thought that she is a good woman and a perfect wife material. All of them were fooled by her angelic face and very good acting that she is a nice woman. But not Aunt Roberta she immediately knew by just looking at her eyes. According to Aunt Roberta she is pretentious and full of lies.

“Do I look like I’m joking Federico Altagracia, Sr.?” Aunt Roberta said with a very serious look and even had her eyes widened to make her look convincing and aside from that she called him by his complete name which means she is dead serious.

Federico gulped first before answering the old lady. He is a bit nervous.

“No, I mean on the part where you said she can pass as Rick’s mother.” Federico smirked. Aunt Roberta just rolled her eyes at him before she replied.

“Fine, you can consider that part as a joke, but as my replacement she is perfect and I am super serious about it. As I said, I will never take no for an answer, understood?” She said with finality.

“Okay, Auntie if you say so.” He said after taking a deep breath, just to end the discussion. But Aunt Roberta then look at him like he said something wrong.

“Why Auntie?” he asked.

“You looked like you’ve been harassed and forced. You look like a kidnapped victim who just give in to his abductor’s ultimatum to spare his life.” She said.

“Auntie, Roberta! I said yes willingly okay. I’m not forced.” Federico said. Sometimes this old lady cause him headache.

This time she is the one making him pissed off. There are times that he is the one annoying her. It always depend on the situation. But they both know when to make each other pissed.

“Very good so it’s settled then, I will call her now. So what time is the interview.” She asked.

“Is it necessary to do the interview? I mean she’s already hired because you say so.” Federico grinned trying to tease Aunt Roberta. The old lady suddenly look on his direction as she was now busy dialing her phone to call the woman she was talking about that’s going to be Rick’s new nanny.

“Of course, you are going to interview her, at the same time you will introduce yourselves to each other. My goodness you are not born yesterday Federico, you are a business man don’t give me that dumb drama of yours.” She said while raising her eyebrows. Federico laughed because of how the old lady look. Pissing her off is effective.

“All right Auntie. Good night. Please locked the office for me.” He said. He then stood up and made his way through the door while Aunt Roberta is trying to make a call.

“Sure, honey good night.” She said happily. Oh, she then call him honey. It’s a sign that she is happy. Federico is heading to his son’s room. He slowly open the door trying not to make a sound so he would not wake his beloved son. He also tiptoed on his way to his bed where his precious child is softly sleeping. He brush Rick’s hair with his hand.

“We are going to find your mother, son. I promise you that. You will meet her as soon as possible.” He said before kissing his son’s forehead and went out of the room. He then went to his own room, went to the bathroom and clean himself before going to bed.

Federico was furious every time she remembers how that woman abandoned his child. For what, for money? She is exactly the same as Lindsay. Why people nowadays are so greedy of money? They will do anything for money, they are willing to hurt other people for money, they are willing to use someone then drop them like hot potato when they are no longer useful, they are willing to betray and disregard the good relationship, and they are even willing to sell their soul for money he thought. Unbelievable. But despite of that Federico is willing to know who Rick’s mother is. He wants to find her for Rick and also to know her reason behind it. He wanted to make that woman pay but when she thought it would hurt his son, he is willing to forgive her. Aunt Roberta has been convincing him to listen to what Rick’s mother had to say. What are her reason for doing those? He should give her a chance to explain her side. He shook off his head to drop the thoughts of Rick’s mother away. He don’t want to stress himself right now.

Tomorrow he is going to meet Rick’s new babysitter. According to Aunt Roberta, her name is Emily Palma. Sounds so ordinary and simple. Yet, he was curious and you may call it weird but he feels excited to meet her. Maybe just out of curiosity. He is hopeful that Aunt Roberta did made a good decision. Looks can be deceiving. He knew better and he had learned his lesson well. Lindsay looks like an angel. She looks so vulnerable that you will never think that she has the guts to hurt someone. Nobody would thought that she is wicked, that behind those angelic face lies the demon. Federico sighed as he remembers her first love. His son is his motivation, his inspiration, his energy and best of all, his happy pill. It was a very long day and he needs to rest. Federico decided to stop thinking too much.
