Chapter 6: Chapter 6

Federico is now inside in his office room at home waiting for Aunt Roberta. He is sitting on his office chair wondering what she would say. All he knew that it’s about her resignation. He hope that she changed her mind but that’s impossible. He already contacted the agency for Aunt Roberta’s replacement.

He loves her like his own mother. Aside from the face that he will miss her so much Aunt Roberta’s resignation will be a big lose for him. He has doubts and he has thoughts of the possibility that her replacement is a worst nanny ever. What if the new nanny would just hurt Rick? There are also possibilities that she would steal something but he doesn’t mind, the biggest thing that worry him is his son.

Yes, he has some trust issues. He don’t easily trust people he doesn’t know. That is because of his past relationship. Because of what happened in the past, it is hard for him to trust someone. Aside from his parents and Aunt Roberta. Even his employees, no matter how long they have worked for him it is still hard for him to trust them.

Thanks to the woman who broke his heart, Lindsay Miranda, he has now some trust issues. Yes, it is the girl from his past. The woman he loved so much who just broke his heart in the end. He loved her that he could see his future with her together with their children. He could see himself growing old with her. Apparently, he was just fooled. She cheated on him, she has a long time boyfriend that she truly loves. She was just after his money. He find out that she has an evil plan and that is to make him fall head over heels for her so he will marry her and once they got married and have all his money she will divorce him. Then, she and his boyfriend will leave happily ever after with his money. It is painful, especially he heard those exact words from her. There is nothing more painful to hear the woman he loves saying she is just using him, that she don’t love him, that she don’t feel the same.

With his heart broken into pieces, he left the Philippines and started a new life in Madrid. He focused on his career as a chief and he successfully made a name in the country. A few months later, his mom came all the way from Philippines with a male child. She said it is his son. The biggest gift he had despite of what happened to his life he has his son. He never even doubt the moment he saw him. The baby looks exactly just like him. He never even bother about DNA he is one hundred percent sure he is his.

But the mother of his child is still a big question for Federico. He never slept with a woman without using a rubber. Also, when he fell in love with Lindsay and had a relationship with her he never slept with another woman. He was loyal and faithful to her. Unfortunately, she did not do the same. However, there was this one night when he find out that truth he went to a bar and got himself wasted. He remember he slept with a woman and he was not sure if he did use protection. He also could not remember the woman’s face he was so drunk that night. All he could remember was her lips which exactly the same as Rick’s lips.

The next morning he just woke up in a hotel room naked, with an intense headache, and a sheet with a blood stain. He was sure the woman he slept with was a virgin. He did not mind at all, but when her mother came with a baby he was so eager to find that woman. He has been investigating the identity of Rick’s mother for a year but for some reason he could not find any information. The detective went back to the hotel to trace the CCTV footage but there was no trace of that woman it looks like it has been deleted or something. He was brought back to reality when he heard a knock. It’s Aunt Roberta.

“Come in, Auntie.” Federico said. Then the old lady came in with a beautiful smile on her face.

“Did you wait too long? I put Rick to bed first before coming here.” The old lady said.

”Its fine Auntie. So tell me what you want to say? Is it a good or bad news?” He asked.

“Of course, it is good news.” Aunt Roberta said while wiggling her eyebrows. He just grin and shook his head. There she goes with her witty self again.

“Okay, spill it out Auntie. You’re giving me a heart attack because of too much thrill.” He said playfully. The old lady just chuckled.

“All right, all right. I don’t want to be the cause of your heart attack. Well, you are aware that I need to leave soon. I can no longer wait for the agency for my replacement. But don’t be sad because I met a very nice woman and she is a great fit to be Rick’s nanny. She will even pass as his mother. She will come here tomorrow and you are going to see her. You are going to hire her because I said so, and I will not take a no for an answer you understand baby boy?” Roberta said with full of authority.

Now the funny Roberta is gone and her dominant side is out. Federico was shocked.

“Are you serious, Auntie?” He said with wide eyes and lips partly open. However, Federico knew that Aunt Roberta is good at observing people. He can trust her intuition. As a matter of fact, the moment he introduced Lindsay to her she automatically said she don’t like the looks of her. She exactly said she is a gold digger and Aunt Roberta was right.
