Chapter 92: Chapter 92

In a blink of an eye, a month had passed and Zixin spent most of this time in closed doors. The only time he left his house was when he went to buy something at the Guild Market. Robert and his team had come to visit him many times but he’d only welcomed them once and during that time, he kept asking more questions.

"I’m now completely out of GP, hopefully, this plan works otherwise, I might have to look for a job in order to survive." said Zixin to himself as he uploaded something on the Guild Private Market."

"Damn it! It’s a fucking Tier 1 Spell yet it’s so difficult to master. I haven’t even reached Initial Mastery of this spell. At this point, I’m doubting if it’s even a Tier 1 Spell!" A young man was throwing a tantrum inside his room, breaking flower vases and everything close to him. The room was luxuriant, a place that only the absurdly opulent could live in.

The young man was also handsome with green hair and eyes, fair skin and a lean body, not too skinny and not too muscular.

As the young man was venting, the door opened and someone entered the room. It was an old man in a butler’s uniform. The old man didn’t have a long beard but a short, well trimmed one.

"Jersse, what are you doing here? Didn’t I tell you to go buy me something to aid in my practice?! The Royal Academy opens in six months and if I haven’t mastered my family spells that the old man won’t allow me to go!"

"Young Master Evan, please quell your anger. I bought you something which I believe is the key to solving your troubles. Take a look at this." said Butler Jersse and revealed a wooden box he was hiding with his other hand.

Evan took the box and opened it, inside was ten caterpillar looking worms that were sleeping peacefully.

"What are these?" asked Evan.

"Hahaha, Young Master, you won’t believe it. These cute babies are called Bookworms, you feed it the spell book you want to master and once it’s finished eating, it fuses with your mind and the tadda, the spell is mastered. And there are no side effects, it was guaranteed by the seller." said Jersse with a burning gaze.

"Where did you buy it? Does it even work?" asked Evan skeptically.

"I bought them at the Guild Private Market and after I bought them, I came to you Young Master so I haven’t authenticated them yet but I’ll do it now. Let me do it now."

"But Young Master, what if it’s dangerous? What if you go crazy? How will I explain to the Lord?" ɪꜰ ʏᴏᴜ ᴡᴀɴᴛ ᴛᴏ ʀᴇᴀᴅ ᴍᴏʀᴇ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs, ᴘʟᴇᴀsᴇ ᴠɪsɪᴛ 𝔫𝔬𝔳𝔢𝔩·𝔣𝔦𝔯𝔢·𝔫𝔢𝔱

"Shut up! I’ve already made up my mind! Close the door quickly!" said Evan as he looked at the spell that he found absolutely difficult to master.

Spell Mastery is separated into five levels, Initial, Proficient, Lesser Mastery, Greater Mastery and Perfect Mastery. Evan hadn’t even entered the Initial Mastery yet which highlighted just how difficult the spell was or maybe how talentless he was.

He took out one of the Bookworms and placed it on the Spellbook. The name of this spell was Wind Gliding, enabling one to fly by riding the wind. It also increased one’s speed by a great margin.

The Bookworm woke up and started munching on the Spellbook with glee. Evan and Butler Jersse watched with anticipation as the worm kept munching on the book. As the Bookworm ate the Spellbook, it didn’t grow bigger but its eyes had changed, like it had become intelligent.

Hours later, the Bookworm finally finished eating the Spellbook.

"Now, how do I use it?" asked Evan while holding the Bookworm.

"It says you place it on your forehead, the process is a bit painful but worth it."

"Alright," Evan then placed the worm on his forehead but all he felt was a prick and the worm was gone.

"That wasn’t so baaa-aaaghhh!!!" Evan clutched his head in pain and rolled on the ground. Butler Jersse waved his hand and put up a sound barrier then asked Evan if he was alright. For five minutes, Evan kept screaming in pain until his cries turned into boisterous laughter like he’d gone mad.

’Oh my goodness, what have I done?! The Young Master has gone mad!’ thought Jersse with anxiety.

"Young Master, are you okay?"

"Hahaha! It works...It actually works! Hahaha!"

[Tier 1 Spell: Wind Gliding!]

After casting the spell, Evan felt his body become weightless and he started to levitate. Jersse cancelled his barrier and Evan flew so high that he touched the ceiling and flew around like he’d been doing this for a long time. His control over himself and the wind was seamless like a fish in water.

Evan took out the Tier 1 Spellbooks he had and began feeding them to the Bookworms. He had six Spellbooks in total, Wind Blades, Wind Barrier and Wind Cloak, these were given to him by his father to practice. Air Bubble, Fresh Air and No Air, he’d bought these from outsiders. While the worms were eating, Evan turned to Jersse with a serious expression.

"Jersse, from now on, you answer only to me. You’re now my Personal Butler and as your master, I’ll help you with your dreams. Tell me, what do you wish for?" asked Evan.

"Revenge. I want revenge on the Adlis Family who wiped out my family because of a Spellbook!" said Jersse with unhidden rage, loath and killing intent. He’d survived being hunted down by becoming a dog of the Wulliz Viscount Family. He’d served many youngsters from this Family who were now powerful Mages but he hadn’t chosen anyone to serve.

After years and years of serving the Wulliz Family, Evan Wulliz was finally born. Out of all his siblings, he was the most arrogant and talented, which was the perfect target that Jersse had been looking for. Only arrogant and short tempered Young Masters aren’t afraid of anything, this was why Jersse did his best to try and get close to Evan and today, he’d finally succeeded.

"The Adlis Viscount Family? Consider it done!"

"Thank you My Master, I shall serve you to the best of my ability with my old bones. I shall never betray you in this life or the next."

"Good, you really chose well, hahaha!"
