When the priest came to be, he found himself tied to the bed and completely naked. Crawling on his body were the ants and the wasps, veins had appeared around his chest area and were slowly expanding. The ropes he was tied with were golden and durable, one of the ropes was even tied around his neck.

"If you try anything funny, my pets won’t just stop even if you beg, do I make myself clear?" said Zixin.

"Crystal clear! Crystal clear!" replied the priest. He really didn’t want to experience that type of pain again and would cooperate fully with Zixin.

"Who are you and why were you trying to kill me? How did you even enter my home?"

"I am Priest Christopher from the Holy Church. I entered your house easily because you left it unlocked. You bumped into me in the morning, that’s how I got inside. I was trying to kill you because you’re a Demon and we’re arch enemies with Demons." quickly explained Christopher without hiding anything and definitely not trying to be smart.

"How do you know that I’m a Demon?" asked Zixin, he was very curious about how he’d seen through him.

"Yesterday in the Guild Market, I felt your ominous energy when I passed by you. That’s how I knew you were a Demon."

"Does this mean if I’m close enough to anyone from the church, they’ll know that I’m a Demon?"

"I see. So many people from the church know about me?"

"It’s just me. Only I know about you. I figured I could take care of you real quick and take your Demon Energy for myself. Once purified, I could attempt trying to advance to the High Priest Stage."

"Good, good. You’re very cooperate and because of that, you might even get out of here alive. Who knows, you might even benefit from this disaster."

"..." Christopher didn’t say anything.

"Start the procedure." said Zixin and one of the Fire Flies entered Christopher’s body and crawled towards his brain. As the Fire Fly was looking for the path to the brain, an Emerald Jewel Wasp stung Christopher a few times on his forehead.

"AAAGHH!!!" Christopher screamed from the pain but Zixin ignored his screams and waited patiently for the final process. After Christopher fell unconscious, Zixin received information that Chris was eligible to become a Vassal. It could be a natural Vassal or a Forced Vassal and even information about how to force someone to become a Vassal appeared in his mind.

Now, Zixin was using this moment to turn the priest into a Vassal but he wasn’t sure if it would work because this guy was apparently a Three Star Mage.

Hours passed and in a blink of an eye, it was already morning the next day. It was then that results began to show. Chris’s face distorted as if fighting internal enemies. The Fire Fly had already reached his mind and was now trying to convert him into a Vassal and Chris was resisting. He’d set up a barrier around his brain to block the Fire Fly from entering it. He had a feeling that once the Fire Fly reached his brain, it will all be over but resisting wasn’t so easy.

Something like a voice appeared in his mind, constantly telling him to stop resting and it was weakening his defences as time went by.

"Chris, if you keep resisting then I’ll order the ants to bite you to death! Do you want that?!" shouted Zixin.

"NOOOOO!!!" screamed Chris in terror.

"Then let down your defences. Accept your fate!" Zixin ordered and Chris sighed and complied. He lifted his defences and the Fire Fly entered his brain and nestled at the centre of his brain. It then released pheromones that spread out quickly and soon, had completely enveloped the brain. Once the brain was completely enveloped by these pheromones, the brain began to pulsate and send signals to the heart.

When the heart received these signals, it absorbed the pheromones to itself and the blood now produced was infused with these pheromones. The organs, the muscles, the bones and the blood, everything about Christopher had the pheromones mixed with them.

Christopher didn’t transform or anything like that, in fact, nothing happened to him. He still felt like himself and still felt like he was in control. Zixin immediately knew that the Forced Vassal process was a success and was internally happy.

"How do you feel?" he asked.

"Did you receive any information about what exactly a Vassal is?" asked Zixin.

"I just received it. As a Vassal, I’ve gained the Talent of the Fire Fly but only 20% of it as that’s my Compatibility with it. I also have to provide you with Mana and it will depend on how much you want." explained Christopher.

"Fine, it seems I was expecting too much. Raise my pet well. As for Mana, save 5% for every Mana Cycle. Also, come and report to me if you’ve discovered something about Vassals."

"Yes, I’ll do so the instant I find out something." replied Chris.

"And keep everything that happened here a secret. Protect me from your church and lastly, how do you use this water?" asked Zixin as he drank Christopher’s water.

"THAT’S HOLY WATER! YOU SHOULDN’T...DRINK IT...Why isn’t anything happening to you?"

"I don’t know. Probably because I’m not a Demon, that’s why."

"But your ominous energy..."

"A Demon infused that energy into my body. Wear your clothes and leave, I have something important to do!" ordered Zixin before he collected his insects and left the room. He’d refurbished his home with the furnisher Christopher had stolen from him and everything returned to normal. Chris quickly wore his clothes and ran away for his life, afraid that Zixin might change his mind and kill him.

’How foolish of me! How utterly foolish of me! I tried to take on a high ranking Demon alone, not to mention my measly strength. Drinking Holy Water and nothing happens, definitely a high ranking Demon!’ thought Chris while running away.
