Chapter 90: Chapter 90
As Zixin rushed off, he forgot to lock his door and the person he just crashed into gave him a deep look until he disappeared from sight. This man was a middle aged man with a holy and gentle air around him. He wore an overcoat and waited for about fifteen minutes before entering Zixin’s apartment.
Once inside, he took off the overcoat and underneath, he was actually wearing a priest attire with even the white collar. From his storage ring, he took out a bottle of water tinged with the slight golden hue and sprinkled it all over the apartment while chanting ’Evil Be Gone’. When he was done sprinkling the house with the water. He took out a golden power, similar to the one used by the knights and sprinkled it on the floor to create a massive magic formation.
This magic formation had four empty circles where he placed what seemed to be a book with a cross, a bottle of water in another circle, a cross necklace and finally, a white feather. He moved all the furniture to his storage ring, leaving the apartment very spacious. Then he hid himself in Zixin’s bedroom.
Zixin on the other hand was on his way to the Guild Market. He’d temporarily turned off his Compound eyes till he reached the Guild Market and reactivated them again and indeed, this market was coloured purple. Not just that, he could now see a path that he simply had to follow and it would lead him to his destination. This update ıs available on 𝓷𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓵※𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓮※𝓷𝓮𝓽
Not wasting another second, the path led him inside the Guild Market and it led him to four specific areas. The Insects aisle, the Plants and Herbs aisle, the Magic beasts aisle and finally, the Mineral ores aisle. Zixin left the market without buying anything for his as his funds were insufficient but he’d made his own deductions pertaining to the purple colour.
’So the purple colour indicates an abundance of Gu and resources needed by the Gu for their growth and evolution. At least I’ve figured out the use of one colour.’ said Zixin inwardly as he deactivated his Compound. He’d bought some groceries for himself since he didn’t have food at home then rode a carriage that took him to his apartment.
He entered the building but didn’t immediately go to his apartment but first went to the mission board to look for something he could do to earn points. Rank 2 Gu and resources were priced at thousands of points and Rank 1 were priced at least twenty GP for a hundred insects of the same kind. Only the Pseudo Ranked Gu were extremely cheap.
Unfortunately, there was only one mission where a Translator was needed and it would be six months from now and the pay was an astounding one thousand GP. The reason why the price was so high was because the Translator would have to leave with the client to the Royal Blue Kingdom, Prince Url’s Kingdom. Zixin applied for the position, he could only hope that the client chose him. Then he went to his apartment.
When the elevator doors opened, Zixin walked to his apartment without suspecting anything. He didn’t even enter the apartment with caution, entered and closed the door behind him. He then released all his Gu, preparing to go for another cultivation session after he finished eating.
Two groups of insects flew towards his room immediately after he released them, the Blockade Termites and the Fire Flies. It was then that he realised his furniture was gone. His antennae tingled and he activated his Compound eyes.
’What the fuck is going on here?!’
In his view, the apartment shining in a beautiful golden curtain that looked like a barrier.
"You finally came back. I’ve been waiting for you." sounded a man’s voice from his room as footsteps could be heard. Soon, the priest revealed himself, holding another bottle of water. Insects crawled on his priest robe but he ignored them and focused his attention on Zixin.
"Who are you? And what are you doing in my house? How did you even get inside?" asked Zixin.
"I don’t answer questions asked by Demons! I exorcise them. Demon, prepare to die!" said the priest as he poured the water on the floor.
[Activate!] shouted the priest and the curtain-like barrier closed in on Zixin and trapped him inside. Now, he couldn’t escape no matter what he did. Zixin’s heart race in fear and anxiety as he was too weak to do anything.
[I Call Upon the Holy Spirit to Vanquiii-AAHHH!!!] the priest suddenly screamed in pain as ten Blockade Termites had entered his body and reached his heart, blocking his Mana Veins.
The Fire Flies were devouring the light around his body, Zixin had bought a hundred of them. On the ground, the moth larvae were eating the golden light like it was a delicacy that could only be eaten once in their lives. The barrier only restricted Zixin and not his insects.
"As expected of a Demon, you knew I was coming and went to prepare countermeasures! Unfortunately for you, I was already prepared for your countermeasures!"
[HOLY SPIRIT, DESCE-AAAGHHHHH!!!]
The priest screamed in excruciating pain as he rolled on the ground and even kicked the air. Sweat and veins covered his forehead as he clenched his teeth so hard his gums started bleeding. He kept squirming on the ground like a worm being attacked by ants but that’s all he could do. Tears came flooding out as he started crying and even his pants.
"Make...them...stop...PLEASE!!!" begged the priest. It was then that Zixin realised his Bullet ants were nowhere to be seen. The priest soon lost consciousness because of the pain, his body had completely shut down after being unable to endure any longer.
"Stop or you’ll kill him. I want to know who sent him here." said Zixin as he looked at the unconscious priest. And he also realised something else, the percentages above his insects heads had changed. Many were less than five percent. Only the Fire Flies had a higher percentage of twenty.
’What does it mean?’ thought Zixin.
