Chapter 143: Chapter 143
More months passed and surprisingly, the death rate had drastically decreased and goblins had long become a thing of the past, no one had seen a goblin in a long time. Now, it was a scramble for the Mana Caves and competition was tough, especially because the princes and princesses came with their armies so no one dared to try to compete with them for their Mana Caves.
Also, when these bullies coveted your Mana Cave, all you could do was accept the situation and give it up but some people weren’t willing to simply give them up and fought, lost and left with bruises.
Now, William and his group was in a similar situation. With Liam’s help, they managed to secure a cave dwelling deeper in the Fissures and it was almost as good as Evan’s. Evan was now a High Rank 4 and Liam was in the midst of advancing to 6 Star Mage, Lavender and her servants had reached Low Rank 4 and all four of them were guarding the cave entrance.
"Barns, this is our cave dwelling which we fought hard to obtain, why should we give it to you?! If you want this cave, you’ll have to do it over my dead body! Let’s see if your men are courageous enough to attack a princess!" said Lavender with a cold expression.
Standing not far from the cave entrance was a man in his late twenties and wore a red robe with fire patterns on it. He looked handsome and arrogant, exuding traits of a young master. His strength was High 4 Star Mage level and had been looking for a good cave to advance to 5 Star Mage.
"You illegitimate trash bitch, you aren’t even a Mage and you dare proudly call yourself a Princess of the Url Kingdom! Today, I shall remove the stain of the royal family!" said Barns and attacked, throwing a huge fireball at her but William blocked it with his body. His flesh got burned but it wasn’t that bad as he had certain percentage of heat resistance. The burnt skin fell on the ground as new skin grew.
"I am the legacy disciple of the General, please give me some face and look for another cave. Or at least wait until my brother advances then we’ll give you the cave." said William politely.
"So you’re General Auz’s disciple. It seems he didn’t realise he chose trash so I’ll help him get rid of it. Kill him!" said Barns coldly. Since when did he care about others opinions, only his words were gold. The army hesitated for a moment but when Barns commanded them for the second time, they had to obey otherwise it would be their heads on the chopping board.
The army had only Low and Mid Rank 5 Warriors who were much stronger than William and even had experience in Aura Manipulation. Their bodies were coated in their Aura as they attacked William with intent to kill. William took out the spear Auz had gifted him, it was strong enough to not break when confronting Aura Imbued weapons and could even counter it.
"Since you chose death, don’t blame me for taking your lives!" said William courageously and charged forward. When he was close to the army, the ground around him became slippery and many warriors lost their balance, big mistake!
The closest to William covered their bodies in Aura but it was futile as the spear bypassed it and severed their heads in clean strikes. In an instant, five warriors had lost their lives but this was only the beginning. The warriors attacked William and William attacked them but he wasn’t only swinging his weapon, he was also strategizing and using magic. He would sometimes create small holes on the ground so that some warriors who were attacking would lose balance and fall into his sharp spear.
All the wounds being inflicted on him quickly regenerated and he continued swing, parry, stab and slice, taking lives are cutting grass. Mind you, he was battling against Rank 5 Warriors but they were helpless against. It’s often said that in close combat, a Mage is cooked but when facing a Warrior Mage, the Warriors were cooked.
[Spikes!] The ground created small sharp spikes that pierced the warrior’s legs but before he could scream, a spear attack alleviated his pain. William had been fighting for hours and had taken the lives of around fifty warriors, leaving another fifty to deal with. William seemed to have transformed into a war machine who reaped lives with every he took. When the fight began, he made a lot of mistakes that might ended another person’s life but since he could regenerate, he survived.
But as more time passed, he made less mistakes and came with sure hit strategies that only those with a lot of combat experience barely survived. Orıginal content can be found at 𝓷𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓵•𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓮•𝓷𝓮𝓽
"DIE YOU MONSTER!" one of the warriors finally couldn’t take it anymore and decided to exchange lives. William stabbed his chest but he sliced off William’s head, blood sprayed.
"HAHAHA! I’VE KILLED THE MONSTER! I’VE KILLED THE MONSTER!" shouted the warrior proudly as he slowly lost his consciousness.
"WILLIAM, NO!" shouted Lavender in great pain. The two maidservants were also crying.
"HAHAHA, you did well! Your family will leave a good life, this, I promise you!" said Barns with excitement. He was beginning to get nervous because of William’s unkillable body but now, he was finally dead.
"Thank you...Your..."
A spear beheaded the warrior before he could finish speaking, terrifying everyone on the battlefield, even Lavender and her servants were terrified.
"IMPOSSIBLE! APOSSIBLE! HOW ARE YOU STILL ALIVE! YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD! YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD!" exclaimed Barns in horror but didn’t receive a response, what he received instead was steam coming out of William’s headless body that then ignited in flames that burned his flesh and organs. The corpse then knelt down, grabbed the head and placed it on the neck and it also ignited and burned. Vast amounts of Mana were pulled out from the cave and surged towards William and absorbed by him.
William’s body released a wave of scorching heat and his body was nothing but bones held together by ligaments.
"I...was...supposed to be...dead...but chose to not to...just to...KILL YOU..." said William’s skeleton in a creepy, eerie and horrifying scene.
