Chapter 144: Chapter 144
Barns was so scared he fell on his butt and crawled backwards quickly. He was on the verge of pissing his pants as William slowly approached him. Some people who were passing by saw this scene and were horrified but didn’t leave.
"I REFUSE TO BELIEVE YOU’RE IMMORTAL! ATTACK HIM! KILL HIM FOR ME! KILL HIM!" shouted Barns but this time, no warrior listened to him. They too were terrified of William, a monster who was decapitated and casually picked up his head and placed it back on his neck then came back to life, how could they go against that.
"USELESS! ALL OF YOU ARE USELESS!" said Barns and stopped running but attacked William. He released a cloud of flames from his hands that enveloped William’s body.
"HAHAHA! I’M GONNA BURN YOU TO ASHES, HAHAHA! DIE! DIE! DIE! HAHAHA!" The flames were very hot and burned the ground till it was black.
"A weakling like...you...is not...worthy...of...taking...my life..."
"DAMN IT! DIE! WHY WON’T YOU DIE JUST DIE!" cried out Barns and took out his Return Scroll.
"FUCK IT! I’M OUT OF HERE!" he then disappeared. William’s bones were like treasures because Barns flames didn’t deal any damage to them. The warriors also ran away as quickly as their legs could take them while the spectators didn’t leave and continued to watch the show. The first thing to regrow was his heart, followed by the liver, kidneys and all the other internal organs. Everything was then wrapped up by the muscles and blood and finally, the skin also regrew. In just minutes, William looked as good as new and he’d even advanced to Rank 5. Chapters fırst released on 𝔫𝔬𝔳𝔢𝔩⚫𝔣𝔦𝔯𝔢⚫𝔫𝔢𝔱
When Barns appeared on the academy square, he was cursing William like a madman, catching the attention of the nearby crowd. Amongst the crowd was Tessa and Galland who were just chilling here.
"WILLIAM, YOU MONSTER! I’M GONNA FIND SOMEONE WHO CAN KILL YOU! I’M GONNA FIND SOMEONE WHO CAN DEFINITELY KILL YOU! AUZ, YOU TOOK A MONSTER AS YOUR LEGACY DISCIPLE! WAIT TILL I TELL FATHER ABOUT THIS!"
"Barns, what happened? Were you also attacked by Lavender’s boys? That bitch!" said Tessa angrily but Galland said nothing.
"You also fought with that unkillable monster William?! Is that why you also used Return Scrolls and ran away. What happened to you?" quickly replied Galland, Tess wanted to say something but a simple glance from Galland shut her up.
"That monster, we tried everything to kill him but he just didn’t die..." Barns who felt like he found people who understood him began to confide in them. Narrating the whole story without leaving anything out which scared the two siblings even more.
’William is so powerful that even cutting off his head and being reduced to a mere skeleton is not enough to kill him?! Good thing we didn’t fight him!’ thought Galland.
’That William, I’ll definitely get my hands on him! I’ll seduce him then have him work for me. After all, I’m better looking than that bitch Lavender!’
"What about you guys? What did he do to you that you had to escape?" asked Barns.
"He came with an ugly looking goblin that decimated our army in a matter of minutes and we almost died!" replied Galland.
"That bastard still has a hidden card he didn’t use?! I must definitely kill him!"
Back in the Fissures Maze, right after William healed himself, Liam also advanced to 6 Star Mage and released a wave of heat that forced everyone to vacate the premises and seek shelter some place else but it looked like luck wasn’t on their side today because all the maze walls disappeared into the ground. William was running naked whilst carrying the three women and when he saw the maze disappearing, leaving only the wide path and mountainous walls, he knew that something was wrong.
The direction he ran towards wasn’t deeper into the Fissures but away from them. Leaving the wave of heat coming their way, many students ran away. William saw a cave and quickly ran inside and the others who it too also ran inside. Those who weren’t fast enough were reduced to ashes.
People then left the cave wondering where the heatwave came from but it wasn’t long before a new problem arose. The ground was trembling and trembling hard. It wasn’t trembling because of an earthquake, it was trembling because something was coming...and coming in droves.
In the deepest parts of each fissure, there were goblin army camps and every Fissure path had its own goblin army who were now on attack mode since the maze had disappeared. These armies were either led by Rank 5 or Rank 6 goblins but it was mostly Rank 5. In other fissure paths, Alumni students were fighting the Rank 6 goblins and had been fighting since the beginning. The cave Mana Caves were in the hands of the goblins so there was no shortage of Rank 6 goblins to fight the Alumni students.
And out of all these one way paths, only one fissure pathway had goblins who remained in their camp and didn’t wage war on the students on the other side of the fissure. The students on this fissure didn’t feel the trembling ground but could hear goblin roars on the next door fissures. They would have gone to help but the walls were too tall and too thick to dig through so they could only listen to the battles.
"Strange, why haven’t we been attacked yet?" asked one student.
"Now that you mention it, it really is strange."
"Maybe there are no goblins in our pathway."
The students began to speculate about this situation but none of them got it correct. They didn’t know that they hadn’t been attacked because of the goblins Innate Ability called Danger Sense, the most useful ability the goblins had which had stopped them long ago from advancing forward but instead fell back.
Evan who was meditating in a lotus position finally opened his eyes after months of not moving a single inch. He was close to advancing to the Mid stage of the 6th Star level.
"It’s time to leave, we need a better Mana Cave."
