After linking, Zixin can also share vision with his Vassals, the shared vision includes sounds. Also, the link can be overt or covert, if he wants them to know, they’ll never know so he can spy on his Vassals without them knowing.
The other ability he discovered is that his antennae could lead him to his Vassals like a compass or GPS. The third and most useful ability is that he can also make links with insects, control and command them and even share vision with them if he wants but it’s limited to Rank 3 Insects and below, he can try to link up with Rank 4 and above insects but only if they accept this link.
In the army, William was seated cross legged inside his tiny tent and meditating. The army base was highly concentrated in Mana so this place was actually one of the best places in the kingdom to meditate. He’d just received his brother’s letter and was now trying out the method mentioned in the letter.
Because William is walking the path of a Knight, he doesn’t have a Mana Heart so all the Mana absorbed nourishes and strengthens his body. Also, Knights grow stronger pretty quickly because they just have to strengthen the body and there are many ways to do that. It isn’t dangerous because it’s lethal, it’s dangerous because it can cripple you and leave your body in an absolute mess, literally. How this technique is practised is simple, sit cross legged and absorb Mana into your body, the rest will be handled by the technique itself.
Once the Mana is inside your body, your blood starts to boil and since blood runs in every part of your body, every part of your body is burning. Once you’ve reached your limit, you stop boiling your blood and take healing medicine. With every boiling point, the muscles, veins and organs grow stronger after healing. Not only is this technique dangerous but also costly. In the army, real money isn’t used but instead use points, as recruits who was still in practise, they are given a monthly allowance of one hundred points.
William is the only special case since he can heal his wounds through regeneration, an ability he got from the cockroach Gu, Liam also has the regeneration ability but his has turned into an Innate Ability and is much effective than his. The amount of Mana entering his body is astronomical that the technique can’t use all of it to boil the blood. The Mana that escapes being used as fire is absorbed into his body and strengthens it.
Since he came to the army, William has been diligently practicing this technique and has become m a High Rank 1 Knight. In the past until now, he couldn’t break through to Rank 2 no matter how hard he tried since the Mana he absorbs is around 30% but now, he absorbs more than seventy something percent of Mana. If Zixin were here and saw William’s Compatibility has changed from 40% to 47%.
William endures the excruciating pain and repeats many cycles of this technique and , a few days pass until one day, William’s body is completely red and releasing steam from his pores. Not just steam is being released but also impurities.
There’s an explosion and William’s old skin is shredded to pieces, new skin has already grown underneath it and this skin is tougher and stronger. William feels great strength coursing through his body and isn’t given enough time to celebrate when someone calls him from outside the tent.
"William, William, come out. It’s that time of the month!" a young male voice sounds out and William already knows who it is. While practicing, a teen girl of similar to him approaches him with a bright smile on her face. This girl is wearing leather armour and two other girls follow respectfully behind her.
After William came here, except for being bullied, he spends his practice time sparring with this girl. She is extremely beautiful and talented, her name is Lavender. William would be lying if he said he isn’t attracted to her but he fears she has a powerful background. This information is deduced through her servants who look at him like he’s nothing. Lavender is the only person in this place who doesn’t avoid him like everybody else.
"Good day, William. Practicing again I see but your posture is a little bit off." says Lavender as she approaches William and helps fix his posture. She’s done this a lot of times in the past and isn’t embarrassed at all by physical contact between men and women. As she’s fixing his posture, Lavender feels William’s perfectly chiseled muscles and blushes slightly.
