Chapter 125: Chapter 125
While Zixin was busy with his own thing, Evan was also busy with his own stuff, he no longer went to the library and spent almost all his time meditating. Unlike the other students who had to practice spells, all he had to do was endure five minutes of excruciating pain then he’d have mastered that spell. What he was aiming for now was reaching Rank 3 as quickly as possible.
When he came to the academy, he switched meditation techniques and was now using one called the Five Elements Mana Book and it included the Ice element as the fifth element. Not only was the the Sand element very rare, a Hexa-Elementalist was even rarer and even with all their manpower, this Mana Book was the best they could come up with.
Evan usually switched between the Vassal Complementary Scripture and the Five Elements Mana Book. While meditating, a crazy and risky idea suddenly hit him and he couldn’t get it off his mind.
’What if I practice the two Mana Techniques at the same time, what would happen then?’ thought Evan but again, this was something very risky, one mistake and his Mana Heart could explode and he’d die but he just couldn’t stop thinking about it now that he did and immediately put it into practice
Evan’s Mana Heart had six colours and two brightly glowing diagonal rings that came close but didn’t come into contact with the heart. The Mana Room he was occupying was one of the best in the academy for Special students. The Five Elements Mana Book allowed Evan to absorb 50% of the Mana here with every full cycle which was very fast. Some Mana Books absorbed less than 10%.
When Evan tried out his crazy idea, at first, nothing happened but then after a few seconds, it happened. The Mana inside this room surged towards him like a vortex. The Mana was no longer transferred to his Mana Heart alone but also the rest of his body.
Evan felt extremely uncomfortable when the Mana entered his entire body but he held on. Before, it took an hour to finish one meditation cycle but now he’d finished it in thirty minutes. The Mana inside this body suddenly out of control and raged like a tsunami.
Evan lost consciousness but this didn’t stop his body from doing what it was supposed to do. The Impurities inside his body were forced out through the pores after the Mana catalised the whole process. When Evan woke up and few hours later, his body was lighter as well as purer. Without even meditating, his body was absorbing Mana on its own.
He was about to check himself when the horrible stench hit him and quickly went to take a bath. When he came back, he was feeling fresh, lighter and free. When he sat down again to meditate, everything went smoothly and the time taken to finish a cycle was cut short again. Now, a meditation cycle took twenty minutes to complete. The speed of Mana absorption increased from 50% to 90% percent.
At one point in time, Zixin had explained to him what Compatibility % was, why it was important and what his Compatibility % was. His Compatibility was 40% and his absorption just increased by 40%, clearly, there was a link between the two.
After making this discovery, Evan continued to meditate for a few days as the feeling of getting stronger was addictive. After a few days, he finally exited the Mana Room and went to the library where he found Zixin. Ever since Evan became a Vassal, he could inexplicably tell Zixin’s location, like a feeling or instinct.
"A few days ago, I discovered something. When the Vassals Complementary Scripture is activated at the same time with another Mana Book, the time it takes to complete one circle is shortened and Mana absorption increases by how much Compatibility % you have. There’s also a cleansing of the body when performing dual Mana Books for the first time. I suffice that I’ll break through and reach the Mid Rank 2 stage in a month or two." said Evan.
This news made Zixin very happy that he immediately went to his mansion to try it out. He had a lot of Mana Books in his head, some were average, some above average and some were extraordinary. Zixin chose one of the best ones he had but nothing happened, the insects speed of absorbing Mana didn’t increase or decrease.
Then he tried the above average Mana Books and average Mana Books but still no effects. Seeing this, Zixin tried with all the Meditation Books he had but the results were the same, nothing happened.
’Damn it! It seems this isn’t the correct way to increase the efficiency of filling up the 2nd Mysterious Energy Cycle but I’ll definitely discover another way!’ Zixin told himself. He then thought of Liam and wondered by how much 60% would add to his meditation.
Yes, Liam had 60% Compatibility which was why Zixin was so interested in the Mara Clan. Having Vassals with such high Compatibility was good for his organisation that he was secretly and slowly building.
’I’m not allowed to go near him though so how should I contact the boy?’ he thought and it was in this moment that he discovered another feature of his antennae. The tips glowed and moved up and down until a connection with Liam was made.
Liam was meditating in a completely different location from Evan and his meditation room was close to his teacher’s house. As he meditated, he felt a connection being made with him and it was calling out to him. Liam stopped meditating and followed this connection all the way to Zixin’s mansion. Zixin was already waiting for him outside. Chapters fırst released on 𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙡⁂𝔣𝔦𝔯𝔢⁂𝘯𝘦𝘵
"Hahaha, it worked! Unfortunately, the maximum distance is a ten kilometre radius or I would have called even your brother. I should try sending you messages to see if it’s works. Let me try now." said Zixin as he immediately sent a link to Evan and connected with his mind.
then the link was disconnected. Zixin then explained the reason why he called Liam here and also told him to pass on the message to William. Maybe now, William would stop being bullied.
