Chapter 113: Chapter 113
Adam and Evan kept exchanging spells and each spell they unleashed was completely mastered so it was both realistic and very powerful. Evan unleashed his Fire Whip spell and Adam blocked it with a barrier. The whip looked extremely real like a thick black rope on fire.
Pah! Pah! Pah! Pah! Pah!
Seeing that the Fire Whip was ineffective, Evan tried other spells but they too were ineffective, the barrier was very durable that all spells couldn’t break through it.
’This Barrier is probably a Pseudo Rank 3 Spell!’ thought Evan as he retreated to recover some of the Mana he lost.
’This guy is strong! I have to end this fight before my Mana runs out!’ thought Adam as his eyes became resolute. He clasped his hands together and when he opened them, lightning crackled in his hands. Clouds condensed above him and crackled with lightning.
"Tier 3! That’s a Tier 3 Spell!" exclaimed one of the instructors while the students were completely flabbergasted.
[Low Tier 3 Spell: Thunder Strikes!]
"You think you’re the only one who knows Tier 3 Spells?! Hahaha, truly, a country bumpkin!"
"Oh no! That bastard also knows Tier 3 Spells?!"
"Are we really trash or are those two too talented?!
[High Tier 3 Spell: Sand Storm!]
The battle stage was suddenly filled with tiny sand particles that when together, created a domain of sand and dust. Inside the barrier, everything was the colour of sand and the clouds in the sky together with Adam were devoured by the sand storm. When Adam looked down, he thought he was dreaming when he saw what looked like a humanoid face made of sand that opened its mouth to devour him.
The lightning spell he’d casted couldn’t do anything to the sand storm and was completely overwhelmed and overpowered.
"OH NO!" exclaimed Adam’s instructor as he entered the stage. The barrier did nothing to stop him and he entered it but the sand storm was dissipated and in just a few seconds, it had completely disappeared. Evan stood tall with his hands in his pockets. In front of him, Adam lay unconscious with sand in his mouth, nostrils and ears and he was also covered in dust.
’Impossible! Casting a High Tier 3 Spell as a Two Star Mage is already beyond comprehension! But Mastering a Tier 3 Spell as a Rank 2 Mage...monster! An absolute monster!’ thought the instructor but he wasn’t the only person with this line of thinking, the other instructors also reached the same conclusion. Evan had a limitless future ahead of him, that much was certain!
"So, do you still think I’m wrong for calling you TRASH?! Hahaha!" Evan laughed out loud as he left the stage and walked away without the consent of the instructor. Now, the students no longer refuted it when Evan called them trash, they either clenched their teeth or fists as they watched his back in the far distance.
While Zixin was asleep, someone entered the library looking very tired and drained. It was non other than Evan, Jersse still following behind him without saying anything.
Evan reached the table where he usually sat and began to meditate. The library is one of the hotspots of concentrated Mana and though most of it is absorbed by the magic formation, some of the Mana still lingers in the air and Evan was now absorbing it to quickly recover. The history lover boy had also done the same thing numerous times when he spent days in the library.
Zixin didn’t care what Evan was up to nor did he care. Currently, it was his nap time and nobody could interfere with that.
Every once in a while, Zixin would receive System Notifications of being beaten up and always being slapped at the end and he was now 70 to 80% sure that it was William who was suffering from bullying but he also didn’t care. In his previous life, Zixin was bullied he wasn’t physically strong nor could he fight back. And even if he did fight back, he would end up dead or in jail. But this wasn’t Earth, this was a world where killing is a norm. If he died of bullying then Zixin would think of him as trash.
Two months passed in a blink of an eye and Zixin had completely absorbed all the knowledge in the library and no one knew about it. He even had knowledge of other professions and fields of power like Inscriptions, Magic Formations, Curse Magic, Artificer, Blacksmith, Alchemy, Illusion Magic, Puppetry, Divination, Sacrificial Magic, Dark Magic, Taboo and Forbidden Magic and other types of professions and magic.
Of course he couldn’t personally perform magic or master these professions but just having knowledge about these things made him happy and content. It was like he’d accomplished a great feat and could walk with his head held high.
Like usual, Zixin had his eyes closed while students entered and left the library. The history lover boy was present today but it looked like he couldn’t find the information he was looking for. No matter where he looked, he just couldn’t find it and was slowly entering a state of depression. He looked at Zixin with a thoughtful expression and walked over.

Zixin opened his eyes and saw a handsome teenage boy standing on the other side of his reception.
"What do you want?" asked Zixin in an annoyed tone. He was clearly having a sweet dream and this boy woke him up.
"Sorry to disturb you Sir Librarian but I need your assistance. I’m looking for a book with info about the Thorns Kingdom." said the young man.
"Thorns Kingdom? The Thorns Kingdom ruled by the Vines Sorcerer, Prince Kobran Thorns?"
"Yes, yes! That’s the one!"
"That book is on the 6th Floor. After Sorcerer Vines disappeared, his kingdom was attacked and annihilated by his foe, Thodore of Withering Sand."
"Impossible! No one at that time could destroy the Elemental Vines left by the Thorns Prince! And Thodore’s sand wasn’t something extraordinary!"
"Yes, yes, the Vines of Prince Thorns were nigh indestructible and full of vitality but it only took casting Sand Magic in another language. Thodore used the Dry Lands language to force the Vines to wither and die without any nutrients. That’s how the Thorns Kingdom fell, everyone was exterminated, not even a dog or cat was spared."
"Dry Lands Language?! When did the Dry Lands Language become powerful?!"
"It always was powerful, just that it needed special circumstances to reveal its true power. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go back to sleep."
"No! You can’t sleep! I still have unanswered questions!"
"You’re so annoying! You’re hereby banned from the library for a month! Take him out!"
The young man felt something send him flying out of the library, he spat out some blood and tried to force his way inside the library but a barrier blocked him from entering. All the students eyes widened in shock.
