"Good morning class, today I’m not going to teach because I’ll be assessing how far you’ve improved in the last eight months or more that you’ve been taught by me. There’s going to be a friendly spar and everyone has to participate. Now, let’s go to the Training Grounds."

The Training Grounds is a colloseum with many smaller stages for battles. These stages are a kilometers long and five hundred meters wide. Evan Rank 5 can use these platforms to spar and even come with invisible barriers.

"Now, who wants to go up the stage first?" asked the female instructor and Evan disappeared and reappeared on stage.

"I’ll start." said Evan with a calm expression but disdainful gaze. Someone didn’t like the way Evan was looking at them and jumped onto the stage, it was a beautiful girl with a noble air around her.

"Battle start!" shouted the instructor and Evan immediately attacked.

[Tier 2 Spell: Dust Cloud!]

[Tier 1 Spell: Wind Gliding!]

After casting Dust Cloud, the girl was enveloped by a cloud of dust with a ten meter diameter which disturbed her concentration, focus and breathing. Every time she opened her mouth to cast a spell, sand would enter the mouth.

Evan appeared behind her and performed a karate chop. The girl lost consciousness and fell on the ground. The battle had ended, not even a minute had passed yet it had already ended.

"Next!" said Evan arrogantly. The shocked instructor came back to her senses and labelled Evan the winner. The young girl was carried out of the stage by one of the students while Evan waited patiently for his next target.

"Evan, you’re so ruthless! How dare you harm my Emily, I’m gonna teach you a lesson!" said one of the male students who had a crush on Emily. As soon as the battle began, he rushed towards Evan with a Magic Barrier and cancelled it once he was in front of him and cast another spell.

The serpents were small and too illusory to be seen clearly. The boy hadn’t mastered the Spell and had just entered the Proficiency level but unfortunately, his opponent was Evan. Once the serpents reached him, Evan was engulfed in flames and the young man was shocked by such destructive power of his spell and laughed out loud.

"Hahaha! This is my amazing magic!"

[Tier 1 Spell: Wind Blades!]

Two wind blades cut the young man’s back and he fainted from pain and injury.

’He’s mastered the Wind Silhouette Spell?!’ exclaimed the instructor inwardly.

"Evan wins!" she said.

"Next!" said Evan arrogantly.

The third person was also easily defeated by Evan, including the fourth, fifth and everybody else who entered the stage to challenge him.

"How is this possible?! This guy didn’t attend the lectures and didn’t come to class for eight months and yet we’re no match for him!"

"How many spells has he mastered because to me, it looks like he mastered all of them!"

"He’s a monster! An absolute monster!"

The other students were completely shocked by Evan’s talent in Spell Mastery. All spells he casted were spells he’d already mastered which completely shocked them. As Evan defeated his last classmates, other instructors came to the Training Grounds with their students. These students were students also in Special Classes like Evan.

"Maze, you’re already here? Tell me, how is the friendly going? Have your students made any progress yet?" asked another instructor.

"It’s hard to tell since they were all defeated by the student Evan in just in under a minute." said Maze with a sad look.

"Maze, you’re not pulling our legs right? Defeated all the other students in under a minute?! These aren’t ordinary students, every one of them is special."

"Yeah, Maze, don’t joke with us like that." said the other instructors and Maze shook her head and was about to call back Evan and leave the stage. Evan was looking at the seventy something students and snorted arrogantly while uttering a single word.

The youngsters felt their blood boil after Evan just insulted them and every one of them wanted to beat him up. Evan Fahm’s expression had darkened.

"What? You don’t believe me? Then let’s fight! Come on stage and let me show you how trashy you are!" said Evan, still looking down on the other students.

"Instructor, please allow me to fight this arrogant bastard!"

"Instructor, I want to wipe that arrogant smirk off his face, please let me fight him!"

"Bastard, I’ll fight you! I’ll beat you to a pulp!"

Many students were completely worked up and wanted to pummel Evan till his face was unrecognizable.

"Let them fight if they want to fight." said Maze dismissively.

One by one, students got on stage and one by one, all of them were defeated and all defeated in under a minute. Even the most capable in their own rights were defeated in under a minute. Another student wearing cheap clothes entered the stage.

"It’s the village boy! Even he wants to beat up that bastard, hahaha!"

"The silent village boy is angry, hahaha!"

"Adam, beat that fucker up! Beat him the same way you beat me up!"

The students mocked both Evan and the infamous village boy whom everyone seem to look down on.

"Kid, you think you’re the protagonist?! Get down before you embarrass yourself! Go back whatever poor village you came from, hahaha!" said Evan arrogantly and Adam’s expression became cold and dark.

"Begin!" shouted the instructor and thorns protruded from the ground to pierce Evan but Evan took to the skies. Adam also flew up and faced off against Evan.

"I’m gonna teach you to respect village people you arrogant bastard!" shouted Adam as multiple magic circles appeared around Adam and turned into fire balls that flew towards Evan. Evan casted a Water Barrier which extinguished all the flames but then Adam appeared in front of Evan and froze the Water Barrier with a touch.

Evan also became serious as the frozen barrier grew ice spikes around it that almost pierced Adam but he’d retreated in time. He then casted the Fire Serpents spell and realistic fire serpents appeared in the sky and coiled around the ice shield, not at all affected by the ice spikes.

Evan casted his own Ice Carps spell that tried to swallow the serpents. He also cast wind blades, fire balls, ice arrows and snow balls towards Adam. Adam blocked with a Magic Barrier when Evan suddenly appeared behind him with ice skulls floating around him. This was a Frost Bites spell and it was quite powerful.

"Holy shit, I didn’t expect village boy to be so capable!"

"I didn’t expect that arrogant bastard to be so strong!"
