Chapter 114: Chapter 114

The history lover boy didn’t remain outside the library for long and quickly left after wiping away the blood on his lips. Now, all the students knew that the librarian had a short temper and not someone to be messed with easily. Time continued to tick by and as it got darker, many students started to leave the library.

Evan also whispered something to Jersse and then Jersse nodded and left. Soon, it was completely dark outside but glowing brightly inside the library and only Zixin and Evan were left. Seeing as everyone had left, Evan stood up and approached Zixin who was no longer sleeping.

"What do you want?" asked Zixin before Evan could even say anything, making him reconsider whatever he was about to say.

"I want to learn the Dry Lands Language. I overheard your conversation with that guy earlier. Please teach me the Dry Lands Language." said Evan politely. This was the first time he was being polite to anyone outside his family.

"Hahaha, it seems fate has brought us together because I also want something from you."

"I want you to join my organisation. If you join my organisation then I’ll teach you the Dry Lands Language and even other things that you might be interested in." said Zixin with a smile.

"Will it jeapardise my status here or force me to do things I’m not willing to do?" asked Evan warily.

"Not at all. You’re free to do whatever you want. Just that you’ll have to help me when the time comes. Plus, you will become very strong and have an advantage over others. So, what do you say?"

"No, I must decline. Binding myself to a secret organisation that I know nothing about is too risky for merely learning a language." said Evan as he turned around to leave.

"Haaa...I thought as much..." sighed Zixin in disappointment but then his expression turned crazy and domineering.

"But boy, did you think that I’d just accept your rejection and move on, if that’s the case then you are completely delusional. If there’s something that I want, if I can’t have it the easy way then I cease it with force the hard way! Bind him!" said Zixin as he controlled the Library Spirit.

Evan felt his body freeze, like he’d completely lost control of his body and couldn’t even blink. His body then turned around to face Zixin again.

"You have potential as a ruthless killer so you’ll have to choose from these bloodthirsty babies!" said Zixin as he took out his Killer Gu which included the scorpions, the praying mantis, spiders, centipedes, mosquitoes, wasps, hornets and killer bees.

"Now...Now this is unexpected!" said Zixin in surprise. He was surprised because the Compatibility % the scorpions and praying mantis had with Evan was a whopping 40%.

"I’ve never tried using two of my Gu to be bound to one Vassal so I’ll test it out with you!" said Zixin as a giant black scorpion flew towards Evan as well as a crimson red praying mantis. Evan wanted to resist but he was utterly and completely helpless.

"Suppress his mind!" ordered Zixin and Evan’s defences completely collapsed, the two insects dug through his skull and entered his brain where pheromones were then released and Evan had successfully become Zixin’s Vassal and there didn’t seem to be any complications with him. Zixin then explained to Evan how to unlock his transformation and what he required of him.

"Lastly, I’ll teach you the Dry Lands Language every day around this time. How much you can learn is up to you." said Zixin and closed his eyes. The whole time, Evan didn’t say anything and just gave Zixin a cold and vengeful stare and in response to that, Zixin decided to teach this boy a little lesson.

Zixin’s body grew larger until it was over two meters tall, his whole body was red and exuded immense bloodlust that had Evan shaking in his boots and almost passed out. A giant Crimson Praying Mantis with razor sharp and serrated forearms was gazing at him like he was food. Zixin’s mouth kept biting at air as he brought his head closer to Evan.

[I love the smell of your brains. Ripe and ready to be devoured...] said Zixin with drool and he was just about to start munching on his brain but quickly turned back to his human form and slumped on his seat.

"Phew, I almost lost control there. It’s been a long time since I’ve had human flesh. But boy, don’t push your luck or I might really eat you to quench my hunger." said Zixin before closing his eyes.

No matter how much Evan tried to hold it in, he just couldn’t and fell on his knees while breathing heavily, his body was completely drenched in sweat. As a young boy who grew up being protected, this was the first time he’d come face to face with death. He was constantly shaking from fear and couldn’t calm down for a long time. After some time, he stood up and left the library.

After he left, Zixin smiled brightly and rubbed the bronze ring on his index finger.

’Haha, another Vassal in the bag. And judging by that guy’s arrogance. He’ll surely offend many people in the future and collect attacks for me, hahaha! As for the Dry Lands Language, let me just write it down with the most basic explanation then have a Bookworm eat it. This way, I don’t have to waste time teaching that boy. This ring truly is a blessing in disguise and I wonder just powerful this Library Spirit is because I’m sure it wouldn’t be put here if it was weak!’

In his apartment, Evan eating but his mind was very far away that he didn’t hear anything that Jersse was saying. He was still thinking about the incident in the library and it gave him the shivers. Thɪs chapter is updated by 𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹~𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓮~𝚗𝚎𝚝

’Just what was that...wait, he said that I could also transform. Does this mean...?!’ Evan then stopped eating and rushed to the bathroom. Jersse was confused by Evan’s behaviour after he came back but he couldn’t dwell on those thoughts for long because his hairs stood on ends as he looked at the bathroom door.

’Such thick bloodlust is coming from Young Master Evan?! Just what happened in the library?!’ thought Jersse with a fearful expression.
