Chapter 50: Chapter 50

When she returned inside, she saw her mother at the door. She could no longer hide the truth.

She sat on the sofa and burst into tears.

She felt her mom approach and she sat down next to her.

"Why do you have to hide? I asked you if you had a problem. You shouldn't hide it from me, Ash. I'm your mother. If there's someone who should understand you, aomeone who would not judge you, there's no one else but me. " she lifted her chin to show her face.

"I'm scared, ma'am. I'm scared of ruining your good acquaintance with Paul. I don't want to lose the respect you give him. I don't want him to feel the way he used to feel for his parents. I know what he did isn't just right, but still he's been good to us. Its just that I can't accept how stupid I am that I made myself believe that he loves me."

"Because you want to protect the feelings of others, you don't realize that you are hurting yourself. Because you want to protect Paul's feelings, you don't realize that you are slowly losing the man you loved so much. Why not, Ash?Can you lower your pride? Is it too high that no one can reach it already? Will you die if you lower it a little so that Storm can reach you? " she stared at hee while holding her hands.

"I was hurt so much, they cheated on me. They made me look like a fool. I thought I was the only one who did something wrong, I difn't know that they did something worse to me. And to think that Storm knew that, but what did he do? He didn't tell me and he doesn't seem to have any plans to say. How can I forgive him? How can I still trust him? " her crying is constant.

She felt at those times that she had found an ally, someone to express resentment. She was able to bring out things that she only owned.

"It's not deadly to forgive. And it's never too late to be happy. Don't forget what your dad said. You can always choose to be happy. You won't lose anything. " her mother kissed her forehead and then hugged her tightly.

"Go upstairs and when you can rest. Maybe tomorrow, when your mind is open to what happened, you can make the right decision. For now, let me let your heart be sad because that's normal. " Her mother got up and then went up to her room.

Ashy was left not knowing what to do.

Ahe had no choice but to go upstairs as well.

The next day she got dressed to go to work. She wouldn't let Paul think her work was affected.

Arriving at the office, she had already seen it inside. She ignored him and looked even more surprised when she arrived.

She saw the papers on top of her table and she had to put them in Paul's office. She took them.

Upon arriving inside, she immediately laid them on Paul's desk.

She would have turned her back when he spoke.

"I'm glad you came." he said softly that the hesitation was obvious in his voice.

"I have a job. Somehow, I know where to put the personal things in my life. I'm here for my job and not for anything else. Now if you don't have anything to say or order, sir, I'll be out, " she said formally, its own answer.

"Do we really have to be like this, Ash?" Question it.

Hee just looked at him then hurried out of Paul's office. She couldn't even look back.

At that moment, she could no longer feel her tears welling up. There was only one thing she felt during those times, nothing but anger and hatred. She could not even see or feel sympathy or pity in her heart., are they all gone?

All she wanted during those times was for him to feel the pain of what he had done.

While she was busy with her work, a visitor came.

"Good morning," he said, looking up to see who had said it.

"Good morning, sir. Do you have an appointment?" She immediately asked.

She knew it, so she didn't even ask what his name was. Instead, she asked him if he really had a schedule.

"Do you know me?"

"I have seen you, sir, but I don't know your name. Now I'm asking you about your appointment because that's one of the company's protocols. Weather it is for business or not, "she bravely replied.

"Where does your courage come from? Is it because you're the girlfriend of the company owner?" His eyebrows rose as he glared at her.

"My personal commitment to the owner has nothing to do with how I treated clients and visitors. Now if you don't have any appointments to keep, you better set a date and I'll give you when to come back. It depends upon the availability of the boss, "she replied boldly.

Paul must have wondered why they had been talking for so long.

He came out and approached them.

"Anything wrong?" When he saw the two, he begin to doubt it.

"Why don't you ask your secretary?"

"Ash?" is a frugal question.

"Why me? I was just asking about his appointment and he couldn't show me anything, so I said he'd come back when he got an appointment. Is there something wrong with what I did, sir? If what I did was wrong, then maybe I'm not updated on the company's new protocol. " she replied suggestively.

"It's okay Ash, I'm not busy.Just let him in." He no longer hesitated to look at her.

She doesn't spill anymore. The wicked man looked at heras if the magnitude of herguilt.

She just watched the two as they entered Paul's office. She doesn't have any idea why that guy acted so weird talking to her.

A few minutes Storm arrived. Unexpectedly, he entered Paul's office. She was surprised the next time she looked at them, what Storm did.

He hit the man and suddenly the man retaliated.

He immediately ran inside to stop them.

"Storm, what? That's enough, "Ashy moaned, even though she didn't know the reason why he hit the guy.

He ignored Ashy. Instead, he pointed at his brother and the man.

"Is this far, Paul? Is this how far you're going to take your misery? Do you really have no shame left in your life? You don't respect mom and dad anymore." Storm was angry. For the first time, she saw this anger.

"Are you that war freak Storm? Even here in the office you're rushing? You're not missing anything?" Paul asked angrily.

"I really am? Aren't you embarrassed? And you're a man, the thickness of your face to come here. You see, you know he's a gay man. You're going to come here, but you keep going. " Storm pointed it at him.

It was only then that it gradually registered in her brain who the man was that almost embarrassed her.

"What do you mean, Storm?" She asked, while Paul was at a loss for words because he was so preoccupied.

"You stop it Storm.Whatever problem Ash and I have, you're not there anymore. Just leave us alone and live your own life."

Instead of answering, Storm went on to tell Ashy.

"This man is the reason why your good husband to be is always busy. This man is the reason why he can't join you on your schedule because of this. Now Paul, tell me. Am I wrong?" He stared at his brother.

"Ash, I'll explain," Paul approached her and tried to hold her hands, but she avoided him.

"Why Paul? Is there something wrong with what Storm said? Is there something he didn't say? Ohh, maybe what he said was too much, so you still have to edit them. What? Speak up, speak up now, we're all here. " Ashy gave him a grim look.

"Let me explain to Ashy, let me defend myself. It's not like what you earn is what you believe. "

"It's too late for your explanation, Paul. If you had admitted it before, it wouldn't have been so painful. If you had said it before, I would have accept it and maybe I could have helped you. " Ashy's eyes looked at him sadly.

"Ash,"

"You only thought of yourself. Me, do you know what I endured just so you wouldn't be hurt? Do you know how I kept track of how you felt? You were my priority. I forgot my own happiness because I didn't want you to be hurt. I threw away my love for your brother because I thought we might really be. I could hurt you if I wanted to. But I didn't. I didn't do it because you're important to me. How about me Paul, what value have I been to you? " Ashy couldn't stop herself from slapping Paul.

At those times, she no longer cared if Storm knew how she really felt. What mattered to her during those times was that she could tell how long it had been weighing on her chest.

"I love you Ash, God knows that. I don't want to hurt you, but I have no choice. I have no choice but ..."

"But choose to hurt me. You have no choice because then you will be happy with that man. Did you think? What did I endure? I pushed away the man I loved all my life just for you. I forgot I loved him. I endured seeing him hurt, even if it wasn't what I wanted. Because that's what I knew was right. That's the way I know not to hurt you again. But what happened? While I'm busy protecting how you feel, you're destroying my world. While I'm busy planning our future you were busy planing your life with that man." Ashy wiped the tears from her eyes.

Storm even tried to calm her down, but she remained stubborn.

"I have a reason why I kept it a secret from you. I have my own reason, and whatever my reason is, I know you won't understand. But please give me a chance to correct what I did wrong." Paul pleaded.

"For what? So that you have another chance to hurt me. To cheat on me? Not anymore Paul. Before I forget, I'm just here for my work. If I were you, cancel all the appointments from the wedding coordinator because I have no plans to marry you anymore. Find another woman willing to pretend to be your wife. The one that looks like money so you can just smear money every time you meet your man. " After saying this, she left Paul's office.

She could no longer handle the tension inside. She was afraid of what else she could possibly say about this scene. She would not want to say things that she knew she would one day regret.

"Ashy wait, let's talk." She heard Storm was behind her.

"As far as I know, Storm, we don't have anything to talk about anymore. Maybe you're not stupid, so you can't understand the words. We don't have anything to talk about. Or do you just don't want to understand? " she said here that it was a painful question.

"I hope you give yourselves a chance to be happy, Ash. You just told me you love me.I heard that I'm not deaf. I felt joy and hope for us. Please don't deny me," Storm begged her.

She looked at him as if she wanted to laugh.

"I said that to make your brother aware. True or not, you shouldn't be taking it seriously. You also taught me to lie. You taught me to make up a story. Now I'm going to ask you, how do you feel? How do you feel? To hear a word that is not true? It hurts, doesn't it? Your pain is not the same as the pain I feel now. So whatever you hear, forget it because it is not true." After saying this, Ashy came out of the office.

She went out to pass the time.

Storm, on the other hand, was left as an idiot.
