Chapter 33: Chapter 33
Storm went home, annoyed with his brother. Even if he wanted to avoid the situation he was in, he could not. He just wants to leave, but how is he going to do it? His brother holds the passport and ticket he bought. He would really do anything to stop him. Why he could not understand. There was only one way he could think of to stop his brother.
It's late and he's been waiting for him for a while. It's past eight o'clock and he should be in their house. He was about to call him, but he restrained himself.
He just got some wine to drink while waiting for his brother. He couldn't get rid of what happened to him and Ashy in his mind. He thought that was enough to make his mind go by, but it wasn't. It seems that she has decided to marry his brother. Something he didn't want to happen as much as possible. But what else could he do? He himself would push him away. Who is he to squeeze himself into someone who doesn't like him? He had already done what he knew he should do.
Some time later, his brother arrived. He looks happy.
"So you're here. I thought you went out with Mark." He asked and laid down his office supplies on the chair.
"Mark is busy, I'll invite him here sometime. It's been a long time since you've been together." He gave him a serious look.
"As if it's going to happen. You know my blood is hot then. It would be good if he will come to my wedding, what do you think. " It was a smiley response to the brother.
"People changed, didn't they? I guess you're the only one who didn't." Jokingly, but there was a point when he said that.
He took a glass and poured wine into it. He accompanied his brother to drink.
"By the way, I have a meeting tomorrow my representative can't go so I'm needed. At the same time I and Ashy will be having an appointment with our tailor, amd its our fitting session with our tailor for the wedding. I'm asking you a favor to be with Ashy, then you can measure what I'm going to wear. It's totally the same. We're just the right size. I mean, the size of the body. Don't refuse again. You think that's so scary. " he looked like his brother. He had preceded it before he could protest.
"Are you excited about your wedding? Do you really want to get married or not? Hmmmm... it looks like I'm the one to get married. You already handed me everything. You also gave me the measurement of what you're going to wear. Come on, Paul, why not just hand it over to me? admit it. " Annoyed, he looked at his brother and then put down the bottle of wine.
"Admit what?" That's a good question.
"That you don't really want this wedding. That you'll just do it to give in to what mom and dad want. You can't fool me, Paul. Everyone else is a liar, but not me.I know who you are. I know your things. " his statement is quite intense.
"Is it hard to believe? At least it's not really believable. Who's going to believe me? I'm considered a black sheep of the family, right? Because I can't do what you did. So what? I'm like this way and it will never be changed. Why should I pretend anymore? Like you? But even though it's hard, I'm still doing it. I'm proving myself. I'm doing what I can. I didn't say that you should force me to be happy. get what is due for me. " headly said.
"That's it, and the truth came out." Storm concluded.
"Whatever!"
"You don't understand Paul, do you?" He asked.
"It doesn't matter, what matters to me is that I will marry Ashy and that is final. Now if you think you can stop me, you better think twice. " It's a threat to his brother.
"You're crazy, Paul. I don't know what Ashy fed you and why you just want to marry her like that. We both know what you want." Storm's irritating response to him. He just needs to take it to consciousness.
The two were silent for a moment. Feel what everyone has to say. Little by little and Storm will really speak, no matter what happens. He could no longer imagine what the consequences of what he would say would be. His main goal now is to prevent and to stop his brother in that marriage. It was not only for his sake but for Ashy's as well. He did not want her to regret marrying his brother.
He will not allow her to live in sorrow. He knew it would not be fun to be with Paul and he could prove it.
So did Paul. It wouldn't be fun with Ashy and she could prove it right in front of Ashy.
"It's okay, you've backed out of your wedding. You must know it Paul. It doesn't look good. Don't play with someone." He threatens to divert attention away from the brother.
"You know bro, I really don't understand where you're coming from, where the words you're uttering come from. Sometimes I doubt what you're doing. I can't understand why you're so opposed to my marriage. Don't you want to be happy or not? Don't you want me to have and to build my own family like you? Or is there another reason? Come on spill it out! " It was a rumor that at that time, drinking had also increased a bit.
Storm lowered the glass he was holding. He caressed his face as if numb from the wine he had drunk.
"If you're going to be happy, I don't mind. If that's what makes you happy, I'll support you. But we both know that marrying Ashy won't really make you happy. I know you're just doing this to get your share of what mom amd dad left. Paul, that is the shallowness of your reasons for sympathizing with other people. The shallowness of your reason for denying someone their freedom to be happy as well. " It's a long story.
"She's happy with me. She loves me. And I'm sure I can give her everything she needs. Everything she wants. I'll give her all her luxuries so that she can be contented with the life I can give." He upheld the reason for his marriage to Ashy.
"Maybe that's not what she needs. It's not material things that will make her happy. She's not the kind of woman you think. Paul, she needs love and attention that we both know you can't afford to give. All she needs is to love her. " He raised his hand so that his brother could better understand what he meant.
"Wow! You know her very well, I wasn't informed that you were close. Why did she tell you that?" He ask even though the truth is that he already knows the answer.
"We both know that you don't love her. You're not the man who can make her happy and truly love her. Admit it or not, you're just using her to fulfill the will of mom and dad. Ashy is still human and you cannotanipulate her." He shook his head in disbelief at his brother's stand.
"What's the matter with you? Don't tell me you like her so you're stopping me. Do whatever you want, but you can't stop me. You can't stop me from marrying her." He replied emphatically to the brother. He would have turned his back on Storm when the latter spoke again.
"Even if I say we had an past? That she became my girlfriend before I married Girlie? That she was the reason why I almost ruined my life? That she was the woman behind the reason why I was tough on everything, including why I can't forgive you? Now let me tell you, can you? Can you be with the woman who caused all our trouble? " His face was dark as he looked at his brother.
"Do you think what you said will change my decision? Yes you did, but that doesn't mean it's forbidden for us to be. She'll still choose me, she'll still be happy with me. No matter how angry you are with me, she won't. It's Ashy's fault, it's a problem for the two of us. You don't have to use your anger to blame her for mediating between us. I'll repeat. Our marriage will be as it is weather you like it or not. " He had turned his back on his brother.
"Do you think that's the only thing that can stop your marriage? Don't you have any other reasons to think of? Maybe you can't change your mind. What if Ashy finds out the truth? The truth is that you are only using her to get your inheritance. Do you think she won't change the way she looks at you? I'm warning you Paul, she just looks nice. Don't trigger her to bring out her anger, because I'm sure you'll be ashamed of your lies when she's angry, be ready, I tell you what she can do. " He looked at it sharply and passed it to go up to his room.
There was nothing he could do about his brother's tough decisions. He could think of no other way. He didn't want to do it but it seemed necessary. He thought hard to decide what he was going to do.
