Chapter 148: Chapter 148
Chapter 149 Tie My Hair
Walker intently looked her face, then he took her pen from her.
Dana was dressed casually in the ward because of a break that day. Her long hair was thrown down, and if there was nothing, it swept across the handsome cheek of Walker.
Very ambiguous, he was then scratching his face because it was itchy, yet his heart was itchy, too.
"Since you are studying, tie your hair up. How will you be able to study with disheveled hair?" He asked.
Dana smiled.
At that time, they were listening to the music of Beatles while studying.
She fished her wrist, took out a rubber band, and sat on the edge of the bed.
Then she motioned as if asking him to tie her hair for her.
She acted like a baby but she looked charming in the eyes of Walker.
She was his woman, but he hasn't tried on tying anybody's hair.
Walker carefully sat on the bed. He looked at her dark and supple hair.
The edge of the bed was facing him.
For him, tying a woman's hair was probably something he has never done in his life for more than 30 years.
It seems that it was not so easy to find a zero experience event for him. He seemed to be successful at anything.
Walker was already holding the rubber band but had no idea how to tie her hair up.
"Be gentle and don't deform my hair. Don't mess it up." She instructed him but in a beautiful manner. Walker on the other hand couldn't help but laugh at her.
"Why don't you tie it for me instead? I really don't have any idea how to do it." Walker finally admitted and gave in.
Dana's slender eyebrows tucked up.
"Mr. Walker Herbert, why do you give up so fast?" She teased and laughed at him.
"I haven't really comb any woman's hair. You might be lucky if I won't pull your hair. But spare your hair for me please. I really don't know how to do it." He politely admitted again.
Dana shook her face and said, "But you don't teach me with my exams! Instead, you just bully me."
"I won't bully you. You just don't know how many people are bullied right now." Walker responded.
Dana just looked at Walker.
Truth be told, Walker had an accident because he saved her when he was dating her.
If by any chance he did not wake up, Meredith Herbert and Lily would definitely grab her and sling her.
Dana then lowered her head, and a small smile passed over the corner of her lips unconsciously.
At that moment, she felt his warm and slender fingers which penetrated her long hair and brushed her scalp. He then gently and carefully held a handful of her hair.
Dana felt as if she was like a cat being caressed by a man now, so comfortable that she wanted to react but she just kept quiet and tolerated it.
The afternoon light was long and the environment was quiet.
After half a month, Walker's injury was now almost completely stabilized.
It's just that the stab wound on the waist was more traumatic, so he was not yet discharged from the hospital in order to take care of it.
The usual work of the President of Spark Industries was now basically handled in the ward. And Dana also officially entered the final exam stage during that period, except for the school, that is, the hospital, running both ends every day.
Simply the ward was bright enough, spacious enough, and luxurious enough, not worse than the Presidential Suite of a five-star hotel. There was no hospital atmosphere, and there was no pungent smell of disinfectant water. Neither of them felt any discomfort.
"How was the exam today?"
Walker's tone was very light. He wanted to know how everything went for Dana because it was her Economics exam that day.
"I don't know, the results haven't come out yet." She plainly responded.
Dana sat on the sofa and was peeling apples. Then she said, "But I don't think it's difficult. My classmates said it was slightly better because you were away, and that the difficulty of the test paper was reduced."
Dana said, cutting off a piece of apple to the Merchant Walker.
During that time, she has become accustomed to taking care of him on a routine basis.
Walker took it with enjoyment and said, "Is that so?"
"Yeah." Dana responded. She actually agreed with her classmates.
"Do you want me to participate in the marking activity or not?" Walker asked.
Dana heard his words and stopped cutting the apple.
Walker smiled at her.
Dana leaned forward and put two arms around Walker's neck.
"If you give me a high score, I want you to participate. But if you won't, better stay away from it. I don't want a low score." She responded.
Walker smiled deeper and said, "So snob?"
"General snobbery!" She uttered.
When Walker Herbert got injured, the school needed a substitute teacher.
In total, the number of papers was more than one hundred people. It was easy to make corrections. It was okay for him to make corrections in the hospital or for substitute teachers to make corrections for him.
"Then I still want you to approve everything." Dana said, smiling, rubbing his face against the perfect curve of his jaw.
"You are the strongest, you are the fairest, and you are the best to me!"
Anyway, it had something to do with grades, so she was just flattered. Walker saw her happy face that he couldn't help but squeeze her cheek with his hand.
"You look so cute!" Uttered Walker.
A few days later, the test results came out.
This semester was different. In order to strengthen the style of study, the Party and Government Office of Progress University decided to change the previous private online results query method to the most traditional posting the big list.
It was said that it was influenced by the popular TV series Langya List. So the Progress University also released a Progress University List.
As soon as it came out, many students complained about it.
But there was no way to redo it. No matter how much they complain, no one really dares to question the crystallized wisdom of the party and government. Now that the list has been posted there, all they needed to do was to come and watch.
Originally, Dana saw it as a detour.
Good grades have never been associated with her. If people mix in to brush up on her sense of existence, they will only be laughed at for poor grades.
But this time was different. She worked hard for it this time, and Dana felt that she did a good job in this test, and might even have a chance to be on the list.
"Let's go, Dana Roosevelt! Go and see!"
At the instigation of Hussey beside her, Dana was also pulled into the crowd.
But when Dana clearly saw the content of the list, her beautiful eyes dimmed.
She didn't see her name on it.
The list of heroes, the bottom five, she hurriedly watched them, without her name.
Dana quietly comforted herself. In the time when people were busy studying, she was busy trying to get married with others. If she wants to be on the Heroes List, where it is so easy, it would be nice not to fail a subject.
"Wow, the other student was really amazing. He was still on the top!" A student cheered.
"Yes, look, the monitor's grades are also very good!" Another student spoke.
"The economics scores are generally so low. So the first place was so powerful." Another person uttered.
"Yes, only her eighty-five points, the second place is only more than seventy points!"
Dana walked out of the crowd dejectedly.
The discussion of the crowd in the ear blows away like the wind.
But at that moment, she suddenly heard somebody screaming, "Wow, Dana!"
Dana was taken aback when she heard Hussey's loud voice.
Frowning her eyebrows, she turned her head, "What's the matter, Hussey?"
"You are so strong in economics! First in the year! Eighty-five!" Hussey exclaimed.
When Dana heard these words, her face was full of expressions. She didn't know how to react.
Eighty-five?
Dana felt like she was just dreaming.
The eighty-five years of the university was not a concept at all from the middle school. It includes not only volume but also papers, regular speeches, academic research, and so on.
Especially at Progress University, these old stubborn businessmen have never bothered to send points to students, and all of them have low scores.
"It's really awesome! The second place is only seventy-seven, and I'm only sixty." Hussey explained.
Hussey got sixty while Dana got eight-five. Hussey got too excited for Dana.
When Dana learned about the good news, she immediately wanted to share it with Walker Herbert.
She ran to the hospital in a hurry and didn't enter the door. Then she seemed to see a figure faintly talking to Walker in his room.
Dana waited at the door for a while.
When the man came out, he thought about going in.
But when she came to approach the room, Dana felt a little surprised.
It turned out to be a woman.
Dana couldn't understand what was happening. All she thought was that she knew she was the only woman allowed to visit him.
Dana looked back at her subconsciously.
"Professor, who is she?" Dana asked after they left.
Walker opened a page of newspapers indifferently. Then he responded, "Just somebody. An agent who came to talk about cooperation."
"I see." Dana simply nodded.
She nearly forgot her reason why she was rushing to see him. Then she immediately remembered it.
"My economics score came out." She said in such a happy tone. Her eyes glimmered with gladness.
Walker pretended to be calm.
"Oh?" He said. Then he added, "It looks like you did well in the exam."
"How did you know?" She asked.
"Because you sounded so happy and excited. You couldn't hide your emotions. It was too obvious." He responded honestly.
Dana was in awe.
"The last time they gave you 59, and you were quite dissatisfied. You didn't rush all the way to my office and screamed. Oh yes, the doctor said I will be discharged from the hospital next month. Are you happy or not?" He uttered.
Dana smiled sweetly, and then sat over and kneaded his shoulders, like a filial and sensible little cute wife.
Walker smiled back at her.
"If there is anything to be happy about, the wedding has been postponed."
Dana pursed her lips.
"Anyway, we haven't released the news yet. Isn't it just right to postpone?"
Just like that, a few more days passed.
The final exam was over, and the summer vacation will follow.
She did well in the exams, and her summer vacation for the next two months would be easy.
Dana now feels that a big good day was waving at her.
Until one day, she didn't know why on the Internet, she saw the negative news what Walker finally suppressed for her a few days. Now they are all up again.
Dana was having afternoon tea with Hussey at that time.
The first person she spoke to was Hussey, and she couldn't help but burst out a swear word.
Later, she was worried that Dana would be overly sad, and subconsciously asked her to put the phone away.
"Dana, don't read it. Now the media is scribbling everything." Hussey said.
The news says, "Beauty college student: The mayor's illegitimate daughter seduces school professors, trampled on classmates. Take a look at the unknown truth behind them."
"Don't read it! It's all scribbled. These people have nothing else to do. Don't waste your time on them." Hussey tried to convince Dana.
While comforting her, Hussey looked at the expression on her face, and finally turned from the indifference at the beginning to the expressionless face at the end.
She was worried for a while.
"Show me what they wrote." Dana uttered.
"If I show it to you, you will feel sad. You'll be upset." Hussey responded. She was hesitant on showing her anything.
Then Dana said, "Hussey, I'm already sad. That's a given fact."
Hussey was silent. She didn't know how to react.
Finally, she showed it to Dana.
Dana slid down expressionlessly and looked at the large piece of remarks about her.
It was indeed a large-scale overwhelming media scandal.
If it weren't for someone deliberately messing around behind her back to kill her, she wouldn't believe it.
