Chapter 147: Chapter 147

Chapter 148 An Encounter With A Furious Visitor

When Hussy heard that description, her face became more furious.

"What do you mean by that?" Hussey asked in a serious tone.

James Byron raised his eyebrows and responded, "I just said you are a beauty, but a little sturdy. Am I simply mistaken?"

Hussey grew out of anger after that.

Sure enough, people gather by kind, and things were divided by groups.

If only he told her that he was a friend of James Byron, then she would not waste time making him responsible for what happened.

Now that she was unlucky to meet them, Hussey waved her hand impatiently.

Hussey uttered, "Forget it, forget it! I don't want the money, please disappear in front of my eyes as soon as possible."

Because for Hussey, if he won't disappear, she was afraid of herself, and she might not be able to control herself. For a moment, she was still able to control her emotions.

James Byron did not speak, and the tall man in beach pants took a step forward indifferently.

The man's footsteps stopped at the table where Hussey just sat.

With a slender finger stretched out, he picked up a piece of white paper from the table.

It was the hospital certificate that Hussey had just slapped on the table earlier.

James Byron's lazy expression obviously changed when he saw the content of the certification.

He blurted out almost subconsciously, even he himself didn't notice that his voice had already become a bit nervous.

"What's wrong with your heart?" James asked. His tone changed from being bossy to concerned all of a sudden.

Hussey was probably startled by his nervous look.

For a few moments for them standing in place, they felt like a world away.

Originally, she wanted to say something else. But when the words came to her lips, she took them back again and spoke differently.

"James Byron, do you have a problem with your brain?" Hussey asked and projected a mean attitude.

Her red lips were light. She then picked up the proof paper from the table, then stuffed it into her bag again.

Before James took a step, he prepared the man's big hand and grabbed her firmly from behind.

"What's wrong with your heart?" He asked again.

He asked the same question, but his tone became more serious and direct. He meant on getting an answer from her.

Hussey only then realized that this man took it seriously all along.

Her slender eyebrows twisted up in dissatisfaction, and the other hand began to push him hard.

"James Byron, you lunatic, let me go!" She exclaimed.

"Answer me!" He demanded.

James was always a cynical person. And once he gets serious, he's really very serious,

"Aren't you taking it seriously?" James asked again. His voice expressed discontent.

Hussey couldn't pull herself away from him by the hand, so she could only laugh sarcastically as a response.

"Young Master James, what's wrong with you?" Hussey initially asked.

Then she added sarcastically, "Did you drink too much lately and make your mind silly?"

The hospital had certified such a document under her name and James Byron just couldn't believe it right away.

He wondered if the document was real, forged, or just made up. Or if the hospital that certified such a document was credible enough.

"My family has opened several hospitals on its own, which is nothing." Hussey said.

But James Byron did not relax at all and asked, "Really? Is that really it?"

"Of course it's not true! What were you thinking?" Hussy frowned slightly.

After speaking, he pulled away his hand directly.

His hand fell through, and he just watched her turn around proudly with an unpleasant expression.

She left a big stride, without the slightest eagerness to stay, and disappeared from his sight.

At the hospital's ward, Dana Roosevelt stayed to take care of Walker Herbert.

Because of his injury, she needed to stay with him to assist him.

Normally listening to the class does not necessarily mean too much for Dana. But when the doctor ordered Walker's injury precautions, she listened very seriously and even did not forget to take a small notebook to write everything down. That way, it was deeply imprinted on her mind, and she wouldn't forget any detail.

"The doctor said you want to eat light food. So I ordered light food. But I am afraid that you will not be able to eat it too lightly."

Dana worked so hard to pick up a lot of food from the hospital restaurant downstairs and put it in front of Walker.

He really did not expect that one day, it would be her turn to take care of him.

"From now on you can order what you want to eat." Dana uttered.

"I can't do that." Walker responded.

Dana pursed her lips. Then she said, "Well, I certainly cannot eat alone. You have to eat with me. And besides, you needed to eat so you'll regain your strength soon."

The voice of the charming little woman continued, and suddenly, there was a dispute outside the ward door.

"Miss, I'm sorry, you can't go in!" The staff exclaimed.

"Yes, Mr. Walker Herbert ordered specifically that only Miss Roosevelt can enter. Aside from her, no one is allowed without his permission."

"Miss Roosevelt only? Get the heck out of the way! Even if it was Walker who really said that you can't do anything to stop me!" The woman angrily responded.

Manny Brown's voice just came from outside the door.

Dana and Walker were stunned and they looked at each other.

Something happened to Walker, so of course, Manny Brown will come over and show up.

Dana carefully placed the soup bowl aside, took a deep breath, and said, "I think it's better for me to go out and talk to her. You just got hurt, and I don't want you to see her upset."

Walker thinks Dana was as sensible as an angel that day. She was indeed her savior.

He saw her face was plain, at best it was a little helpless to clap her hands to stand up, and she was about to walk outside.

Walker was quite worried and asked her, "You really don't need my help?"

"Don't be silly." She immediately responded.

Dana raised her eyebrows and said, "I have dealt with her more than once already. And I know exactly what routine to use. Let me talk her through."

Then she curled her red lips and added, "I've been mixing several attitudes for quite some time now, except for my parents. I believe I have evolved a long time ago!"

Walker couldn't help but laugh at her humor. He seemed to be entertained by her.

"If you are wronged, my injury will be more serious, Dana." He uttered.

Dana was suddenly stunned by his words. She didn't say anything for a moment.

Then she appeared to be dumbfounded for a long time under his serious tone and as he spoke her name.

Only then did she realized that what he said just a while ago was appreciation and affection for her.

"Yeah, I got it." She simply responded.

Dana took the door out blankly, felt as if she was still dreaming.

But Manny Brown outside the door won't give her time to dream, and her angry facial features were almost distorted. She doesn't have the usual graceful, elegant and intellectual image of a celebrity. She simply expressed her disapproval over the situation.

"Oh, Dana. The nerve of you to actually stay here!" Manny greeted her with a condescending tone.

The woman who was very docile just now had a colder expression on her face after seeing this woman.

"Why can't I be here? Is this hospital opened by your family?" Dana directly responded.

Manny Brown stared at her, and she was already shaking into a sieve with anger.

"Walker's parents have already approached me." Manny said.

Manny's index finger was trembling slightly with anger and pointed to the call log on her phone screen.

"Uncle and Auntie were annoying you at first. But this time, they have made it clear that you will never be able to enter the Herbert Family. Dana, what good is it for you to yell with me here? Do you have the ability to make Walker's parents accept you? You don't even have the guts to do so!"

Dana thought things over carefully before she responds.

She knew that by virtue of her identities, Walker Herbert's parents would never accept her.

But the most incapable and powerless thing for a person to change was the birth status. A person could never change where he or she came from.

She will never shrink from that point, and it was impossible for her to be inferior because she was born inferior to Manny Brown.

Dana pushed Manny Brown's phone away from his eyes with one hand.

In the bones of a cold smile, she said, "Speaking of which, just stick around the issue about identity, Manny Brown, how noble are you yourself?"

Then she added, "Aside from the identity of an illegitimate girl, I am also confused as a Mayor's daughter anyway. Let's talk about it, shall we?"

Dana curled her lips contemptuously.

"The man I am going to marry is Walker Herbert." Manny responded and looked at Dana strangely.

Dana said, "Without his parents' consent, do you think you can marry Merchant Walker?"

Then she added, "Do you think Walker would dare to get married without his parents' consent?"

Manny Brown's eyes widened in disbelief of her statement.

"Dana, who gave you the confidence?" Manny deliberately asked.

"A marriage without parental support, do you think it will last?" Dana responded.

"Oh, one of my parents has passed away, and the other is in jail. They can't support me if they want to support me. Isn't my marriage destined to go smoothly for the rest of my life?"

Manny Brown carefully stared at Dana.

In that way, Manny Brown was successfully run away by her.

She threw a vicious word, or she might get out of the hospital without seeing Walker. Not even a glimpse of him.

Dana looked at her back, there was only a lonely boring master.

She patted her palms, and was ready to go back to the ward again.

Back to the ward, Walker was reading the newspaper, and the food was kept untouched. Dana got angry when she saw it.

"I've been out for so long, how come you haven't eaten even just a few?" Dana asked.

"I was waiting for you." Walker responded plainly.

Dana immediately changed her facial expression and didn't get angry anymore.

"I said you don't need to wait for me. Why are you so disobedient?" Dana said.

Dana grumbled and walked over to pick up the food and touched it. Fortunately, it wasn't that cold yet. It was still warm enough to soothe Walker's stomach.

"What did Manny Brown talk to you about?" He suddenly asked.

"What?" Dana asked. She froze for a moment, thought about it, and uttered, "Oh, it's nothing, don't worry about it."

Then she added, "She just asked about your injury. She was quite worried about you. However, she also mentioned all kinds of rumors that I don't deserve you."

She suddenly looked indifferent.

Maybe at the beginning, she would still be sad to hear such comments from other people.

But now, she was completely immune to everything.

Walker saw that she was not emotionally hurt at all, and finally, he was relieved.

"It's okay."

His voice was still very weak. Then he put the newspaper aside and uttered, "Let's eat together."

"That would be great. Dana happily responded.

In fact, she was also hungry.

After opening the lunch box carefully, they shared the meal together.

After eating, Dana did not leave the ward.

During those days when Walker was hospitalized, she was always with him.

Since Manny Brown came to harass her the other day, Walker has tightened the guards outside the ward.

Later on, Emily came over. But even before she might be driven out by Dana, she was sent away by Walker's bodyguard.

As those commotions happen, the time was just near the end of the term.

The economics exam will start next week. Although Dana already studied seriously for that semester, she has spent too much energy on business, tending to Walker's needs, housework, and internships.

Before the exam, she still has to rely on temporary cuddling.

She asked for a review, and Walker asked Assistant Boyle to take a few books and test questions that were helpful for her review.

Dana began to study in the ward with a book in her hand.

Then she read few topics which she couldn't understand. Then she frowned and walked to the bed with a book in her arms.

When she was in deep thought, she couldn't help calling him teacher.

Dana frowned and stared at the book.

The analysis chart was so complicated that she couldn't understand any of it.

"How do you do these questions?" She inquired and was quite irritated.

She then concentrated again on studying.

Focusing on one point, it would never be possible to see how gentle Walker's eyes looked at her at that time.
