Chapter 42: Chapter 42
THIRD POV
“D-Dominic…”
Dominic paused and looked up, but when he saw Sophia, he lost his appetite.
“What are you doing here? Isn’t enough what I told you?” asked Dominic. Sophia bowed her head and approached Dominic, who gave her a frown.
Dominic massaged his forehead, getting more irritated with Sophia. He pushed her several times, but instead of quitting, the woman became more stubborn…
“I know you’re busy, so I’d like you to relax,” Sophia said as she sat on Dominic’s lap.
“W-what the hell!” he yelled, pushing Sophia. “What are you doing, huh?!? Get out!” he yelled, pointing to the door, but Sophia still didn’t leave, which irritated him even more.
“D-Dominic, I told you I’m the only one who can satisfy all of your needs,” said Sophia as she approached Dominic. “This is my body; I will give it to you because we have nowhere to go, and we can no longer enter the mansion.”
“Sophia,” he took a deep breath. “Stop it. I’ve told you many times, but you didn’t listen. Please, I need to find her,” said Dominic, taking a drink of wine and gulping it down because the woman who wouldn’t stop was making his headache worse.
Sophia knelt before him. “You won’t be able to resist my body, Dominic,” Sophia smiled as she opened the zipper on Dominic’s pants.
“Bullshit…!”
Dominic cussed a few times and shoved Sophia as closing the zipper on his pants.
“Sophia, I respect you, so please…” He shook his head and helped Sophia in standing.
Even though Sophia is an illegitimate child, she is still a knight and Scarlett’s sister, so he will not cheat again, especially now that he believes he has a chance with his wife.
“You’re still concerned about me.”
Dominic sighed and winced. “Of course you are Scarlett’s sister,” he said, and Sophia clenched her fist before pushing Dominic.
“You always say Scarlett! Scarlett! Scarlett! Isn’t Sophia there?!? She left you before, right?!? I’m the one you’ve been with for over six years, Dominic!” said Sophia as she sobbed.
“I was the one who filled in Scarlett’s flaws to you! Thara and I have always been here for you. B-but…”
Sophia took a seat on the floor. “Why not me?”
Something took aback Dominic, and he just stared at Sophia.
He insisted on loving Sophia after Scarlett left him because he believed his wife had left him for no reason, but he couldn’t love the woman the way she wanted. He also tried to change his feelings for Sophia before, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't because he only really loved Scarlett and that didn’t change.
He knows Sophia is only doing this because she loves him, but regardless of what she does, Scarlett will always be the one he loves.
“Listen to me, Sophia; I tried to love you, believe me, but no matter how hard I tried, I really love Scarlett,” he said as he put his hand on Sophia's shoulder. “I don’t want to waste that time, so just please fix yourself. This isn’t you,” He shook his head.
“You don’t know who I am, Dominic,” Sophia shook Dominic's hand.
“You’ll be mine,” she whispered as she threw the coat and exited the man's office.
Dominic only shook his head and put up his coat again before returning to his work.
He didn’t know what to do, especially since he still hadn’t found Scarlett.

SOPHIA’S POV
F-ck! Whatever I tried, I couldn’t get Dominic back. He is not the same person he was before. I just sighed and combed my hair before leaving his company.
When a car stopped in front of me, I hopped in.
“I failed! F-ck! It’s always Scarlett! What does she have that I don’t?” I yelled, irritated, but he gave me a playful smirk.
“Her moves, you know what I mean; you saw her that night, right?” He turned to face me. “She’s scary.”
I came to a halt, rolling my eyes. “No way! She’s just acting brave because she’s with the Knights!” I screamed, slamming the chair.
I glared at him as I heard him laugh. “What’s your plan?!? Why are you moving so slowly?” I asked.
“Oh, no problem; I know what to do.”
I crossed my arms and rolled my eyes.
“Oh, whatever!”

THIRD POV
“Dominic!”
Dominic nodded to his friends as they walked to the club.
“It’s been a long time! It’s a good thing Maris agreed to let me come here!” said one of his buddies. Dominic only smirked and shook his head.
“His wife is strict, not his parents.”
He laughed at his friends because he misses his college friends.
Except Zendric Montemayor, who did not know where it was. His only piece of news is that a friend of his has married a MONDRAGON.
“How did FEM and Z get together? They were like cats and dogs, weren’t they?”
“I thought MONDRAGON would spend time with one of the Knights.”
“Hmm… Montemayor’s charm is also different!”
“FEM is special as well! I didn’t think she’d like a womanizer like Z Ha hahaha!”
“Stupid! Z is still a womanizer! I saw him at the mall with someone!”
“Are you certain? He hasn’t changed, huh?”
“He’ll be dead when the MONDRAGON find out, especially FEM’s brothers!”
Dominic looked at his friends and shook his head. He also learned that the MONDRAGON and Montemayors were having a conflict.
“Why don’t we discuss who was the most Casanova of all of us in college? A Casanova king in college.” his friends exclaimed.
He raised his brows. “What?” His friends smirked.
“How are you doing?”
Dominic smirked but he says nothing.
“I heard you’re marrying a knight? Is Scarlett the girl you’re going to marry?”
He came to a halt and stared at the glass in his hand.
'Idiot, we’re married.'
“Stupid! It’s not Scarlett! It’s Scarlett’s sister!”
“Sophia.”
“Yes! It’s Sophia! When is the wedding? I thought you and Scarlett were going to end up together!”
“Yes, what you went through with Scarlett was difficult as well; you always had a black eye on her!”
“She is a strong woman, and she is a knight!”
“He stole a kiss from Scarlett, which is why he got a black eye.”
“Pft. Yes, he’s still proud of kissing Scarlett, even though he has a black eye!”
He threw a plastic bottle at his friend for bringing up memories from the past.
“Asshole!”
His friends laughed because he talked.
“Oh, you talked!”
Dominic shook his head and stared at his glasses again before smirking because he remembered Scarlett, who was still distant before.
When he does something bad, he always has a black eye. In sparring, he always loses to Scarlett.
Those are the memories he will never forget.
“Is Sophia your fiancé, Dominic?”
Dominic came to a halt and looked at his friend, who remained silent.
“Do you have a child from your relationship with her?”
Dominic nodded, and his friend gave him a frown and a stare. Dominic frowned because something didn’t seem right about his friend.
“You have a husband, Jay.”
Jay shook his head and turned to face Dominic. “I saw Sophia talking to a man,” said Jay, and everyone fell silent.
“They seemed to argue. Then I saw Sophia give her money to that man,” said Jay as he sighed. “My husband saw it as well.”
Dominic froze and frowned, as if he was recalling something. He recalls that when they were at the mall, a man approached Sophia; he appeared to be from a wealthy family, and he also noticed that Sophia seemed to see a ghost.
Dominic has been confused for a long time; he hasn’t been able to ask Sophia because of so many incidents.
He sighed, but he also came to a halt when his phone rang.
“Do you have any information?” he asked on the other side of the line.
(“Boss, Ms. Scarlett attended an event at Madrid Enterprise.”)
He stood up from his seat as he turned to face his friends.
“I have to go,” he said, placing some money on the table before leaving the club.
He got into his car and spoke with his staff once again. “We’ll talk later,”
He threw his phone on the dashboard and drove back to his office. His employees greeted him when he arrived at the company.
“Where is Scarlett?” he asked as he walked into his office.
“We found that Ms. Scarlett attended an event at Madrid Enterprise.”
His staff placed the event photos on the table.
Dominic looked through the photos one by one, and his brow furrowed when he saw Scarlett in the photo from the event hall, and he had an odd feeling about Scarlett.
“The incident happened within the last week, and we have got no information.”
He just signaled that everything was fine and left him alone in the office.
His employees bowed as they exited his office. He swiveled in his swivel chair and stared out the glass wall.
“Scarlett, what happened to you?”

Dominic stayed awake and in the office for a few days because he was working on a business project.
“Sir, coffee? Take a break,” his secretary said.
He gave a tired smile and motioned for his coffee to be placed on the table.
“Thank you; what’s my schedule for today?”
His secretary read Dominic’s schedule for today from the tablet he was holding.
“Lunch with the investor at 12 p.m., board meeting at 4 p.m., and dinner with Master Dominican at 7 p.m.”
Dominic leaned back in his swivel chair.
“Thank you, and please… Do not allow anyone to enter my office,” he said. His secretary agreed with a nod. “If anyone comes looking for me, please inform them I don’t have time to talk right now,” he smiled. “Get back to work!”
His secretary nodded and bowed before exiting his office. He lay his head on the desk after looking at the many papers on his desk.
“I don’t want to be a CEO! Damn it!” he yelled, closing his eyes as his office work became hard.
When his phone rang, he came to a halt and answered whoever had called.
“I’m busy!” he says. “I don’t want to talk to you right now.”
He was about to hang up when he was interrupted by a familiar voice on the other side of the line.
“Dominic.”
When he realized who had called him, he stood up and his eyes widened.
“S-Scarlett…”
