Val having slowly pressed the speaker phone button, and cautiously connected the call into a three-way whilst still looking at attorney Chris expressed a bitter and sour face. She knew she might fuck everything up now, attorney Chris got her real good.

Val never thought he would ask her to put the call on speaker after he had displayed such trust for her words.

She could only pray that the emergency line would notice that they were now on speaker and wouldn't ask any questions or speak out loud. Since they could hear everything, they should be able to find out right?

On the other hand, Attorney Chris crossed his legs and held a fist to his chin with a small smile on his face. He was amused by Val's smartness and crafty acts.

How could he not endorse it?

After all, he took an interest in the game of cat and mouse. He wanted to see her struggle while he subdued her more and more.

The attorney wasn't at a total advantage, and so he gave her the benefit of the doubt. After all, she seemed a depraved woman with no man to satisfy her cravings from all she'd been saying earlier. Not that he believed her, but he knew Val could only go so much without a man.

More so, she might have an abduction and blackmail kink just as he did. Who knows?

But attorney Chris knew to not gamble his chances. He wouldn't let his desires get ahead of his rationality.

' She must think I'm very stupid huh? what does she think of me? Hahaha! we'll see how it goes from here... This way, I can further instill fear and guilt in her. Eventually breaking her entirely...' His eyes gleamed expectantly as he thought. attorney Chris knew with the phone on speaker, she would definitely be caught trying to ask for someone's help.

That was why he had waited until she made the call before asking her to put it on speaker. He could tell she'd dialed the emergency line.

As the phone rang, Val's heart grew restless and the situation became more intense. She bordered on the line of her whole life in ruin. Val knew she had to play her cards right...

" Hello, Miss Val? Where are you?" Just as the call went through, an aloof voice spook from the other side of the line.

" Hey Aidan, Um, do not worry about picking me up, I'm at um... uh....!" Val spoke with a shaky voice and stuttered to find the correct words to say what she implied.

Nervous as heck, she pursed her lips and glanced at attorney Chris who only watched her with an amused smirk.

' He knows... but I can't show it on my face' Val knew she had to do something quick.

" H-hey Aidan. I just wanted um to say that," She looked at Attorney Chris again, as she paused for a second "You shouldn't bother to come pick me up. I'll be passing the night at Attorney Chris' place. You know him right?"

" Of course Miss Valerie, I've brought you to his place once. Are you fine by the way? You don't sound too good" The personal driver said in a short chuckle and asked in a serious tone, noticing that Val's voice didn't sound normal.

Val was so glad that she almost broke into a smile. However, she managed to control her expression.

" No no! Nothing! I'm currently with him, so yeah... I'm safe for now." Val said, making sure she got every necessary detail across the call.

" A'ight ma'am" Aidan didn't question any further.

" Thank you" Val ended the call.

' I hope things work out' Val added in her mind as she stared at attorney Chris. With the indiscernible expression on his face, Val's heart tinged as she grew unsure whether she'd sold that well. She couldn't believe the call from now was a success, however, she could only hope things would go as she intended from here on.

Attorney Chris creased his gaze, quite suspicious of the call just now. But he couldn't find anything wrong with it no matter how he looked at it. It seemed a perfectly normal conversation considering the situation.

' Could it be that Val really was cooperating with him?' It didn't quite fit the profile he had of her. Attorney Chris grew skeptical.

" I- I'm a little bit sweaty from all that has been going on... I-I think I need a shower or something" Val feigned in distress.

She aimed to find a safe place where she could be alone to gather her fidgety self, and also buy herself some time.

" Sure" Attorney Chris nodded, not sure of what she was playing at. He began to grow cautious of her and subconsciously had his guard. He could tell Val was up to something, just that he didn't know what exactly it was.

None of his other victims had been this cooperative. They were always scared and acted impulsively, which allowed him to break them even further.

Val's calm and collected countenance raised suspicion, and the attorney for the first time didn't know how to deal with the situation. He was being beaten in his own game.

Val exhaled deeply in relief. Her previously thrumming heart calmed considerably when she heard attorney Chris assent to her request.

With a slightly stringing heart and a nervous bearing, Val was about to stand when she realized she still had her phone in her hands.

Not wanting to ruin her chance, Val took her phone up to attorney Chris' view and gently placed it down on the coffee table as a show of surrender.

" Like I said. Cooperative" Val sold the idea, her voice a little shaky though.

Attorney Chris raised a brow as if to question her actions. He couldn't believe Val and at the same time he couldn't not believe her. Val was messing with him and he didn't know what to do.

" I know I'm at no advantage and I can't risk my future falling in doom so... Please, I'm already being cooperative. We're both adults" Val persuaded as she rose from her seat.

" Undress here." Attorney Chris ordered, thinking she might have something hidden in her.

He couldn't bear the risk of her making a call in the bathroom. It was an old trick in the book, and he wouldn't fall for that.

Val stood surprised, while her heart raced in fear. Her body trembled and she instinctively squeezed her face.

' What is he trying to do?' Val couldn't help but think in the negative. Could it be that he'd caught on to Val's act?

" A-alright" Val hesitantly undressed until she was only left in her white lacy underwear.

Attorney Chris looked her figure up and down for a long while before smiling and nodding his head. He loosened his tie and pointed towards the bedroom where the washroom was.

" Thank you," Val said and headed stiffly to the bedroom with her hands stuck to her side. However, Val couldn't heave in relief yet, there was no telling what the attorney had in plan for him once she got in the bath.

Attorney Chris watched Val's back as she walked away with a vicious glint in his gaze. It was only when her sight was no more in his view that he quickly reached for his glass and gulped down the rest of the content.

He couldn't hold back any longer. He wanted Val so bad after seeing her in those undies but at the same time, he wanted to have her broken. The fact that she was acting so cooperative and compliant made him feel insecure and mad.

Val had used every ounce of will she had in her to not turn around as she walked to the bathroom. Just as she got in, she quickly locked the door behind her and dropped down on her behind with her back resting on the door.

She let out all the panic she had held in and placed a palm over her chest to calm her frivolous heart. She was messing around with a freak and a thoughtful pervert after all. Val was emotionally exhausted.

The feat she just pulled out there wasn't in any way easy. It took every courage and gut to do that, and Val definitely wouldn't have dared to do so if it wasn't for the fact that she had no choice.

' Hah! now I just hope the police can contact Aidan and request him to bring them to this location.' Val thought. She had connected the call in a three-way with the police so they could see Aidan's line and ask him questions after the call ended.

She had even asked if Aidan knew Attorney Chris' place to help them confirm.

' In the meantime, I gotta stall till they come busting this place' Val decided.
