Aidan who sat in the car at Citadel's underground parking garage while awaiting Val stared at the windscreen with a baffled expression as he held his phone in hand, seemingly in thought. He was uncertain about what the call just now was all about.

Val whom he waited for in the parking garage, and whom he was supposed to take back to her apartment was spending the night at attorney Chris' place? He wondered when they got that close.

Not that Aidan was concerned with Val and the attorney being in a relationship, he was only worried about keeping a close watch on Val as Bob had tasked him to.

" That's right. She had mentioned that she was safe right?" Aidan muttered in a daze. He had no reason to not believe her. After all, attorney Chris whom she was with is a professional lawyer, and a supposed ally.

More so, Val herself wouldn't have just stated that she was safe if she wasn't.

But still, Aidan was skeptical as there was something about Val's tone that he felt wasn't about right.

' Maybe she was just too embarrassed to tell me she would be staying with the Attorney. It's not like we're not grown ups however ...' Aidan thought but eventually shrugged the thought off. It wasn't really his business what she did with anyone, again, his job was to ensure she was safe. That's it!

' But, why was the emergency line in on the call? That too, in a three-way.' This was the main reason behind Aidan's confusion!

He'd been thinking about this ever since the call ended. This was why he tried to determine Val's safety with her surrounding situation that he observed during the call.

' Could she be drunk?' Aidan squeezed his oblong face. His blue eyes searched frantically in thought, and his brows were knitted in a frown as he considered the possibility.

Just as he rummaged in his thought to process the situation, his vibrated in his hands. He quickly flipped the screen over to see who was calling...

' Who's this?' His frown deepened. It was a strange number!

" Hello?" Aidan picked up the call with a frank stance. He raked a finger through his short brown hair out of habit.

" I suppose this is Mr Aidan that I'm speaking with, correct?" A mature feminine voice spoke.

" Yes, Aidan speaking. Who's this?" Aidan confirmed his identity and subconsciously shot his head forward to ask.

" This is the police and I believe you understand what had just happened from the previous call. Ms Valerie as we assumed, made a distress call to our emergency line to notify us of her threatened state and has discreetly informed from the previous three-way conversation that you know the place where she's currently at... If you'll kindly cooperate and confirm that the conjectures we've made is right, and help us help your... friend?" The woman on the line stated briefly.

Aidan opened his mouth in shock when he heard the woman. It wasn't until now that he started to place the pieces together. He felt stupid and worthless to have not realized that Val was in danger.

' Attorney Chris is threatening Miss Valerie?' Apprised by the woman, Aidan became alerted. He didn't waste time thinking about why attorney Chris was threatening Val as he knew a quick action had to be taken to ensure Val's safety.

" Y-yes, I do know the place. I've taken her to the place once. By the way, I'm her personal driver... In any case, We have to be quick! Ms Valerie might be in a very dangerous situation at the moment!" Aidan sounded agitated as he spoke in a rush.

" Right away. I'll need you to provide the address please" The woman asked cooperatively.

" Right away... " Aidan said and proceeded to provide attorney Chris' address without delay.

Back in the apartment, Attorney Chris felt a little pressed about everything that was going on. Val was handling the situation way better than he expected, and she was beginning to piss him off.

He wanted her to struggle and beg him. He wanted to put her in desperation and leave her devoid of hope.

Why was she being so cooperative? this wasn't what he wanted from her!

Attorney Chris stood and paced about the living room in slow thought as to what to do to get Val in the state he wanted to see her in.

Valerie was hot, and attorney Chris of course fancied her. However, the whole process of blackmailing was failing be what he wanted it to be. This was all because of Valerie being cooperative to his demands...

" I have to take control from now on!" Attorney Chris made a resolute decision. He fisted his palm as he thought of a way to go about this. He knew taking the normal approach wouldn't work with a woman as witty as Val. Attorney Chris felt that he needed to be cruel to subdue Val.

' Fuck! I Should just have my way with her now and leak some of the nudes anyway... Hmm... That should bring about some changes.' Attorney Chris thought in delight. He could already visualize Val's broken expression after he did this.

The attorney brimmed up with excitement at the thought of this.

He rolled up the sleeves of his shirt as he strode towards the coffee table to grab the empty glass, and then walked towards the mini-bar to fetch some more wine.

Flustered, angry, excited, and expectant, Attorney Chris intended to drink himself to a calm.

' It's been past fifteen or so minutes that she's been in there...' Attorney Chris combed a finger through his hair as he had the sudden thought to get in the bathroom to see if Val wasn't doing anything suspicious.

He could hear the sound of the shower splattering on the floor but he still wasn't buying the act. Attorney Chris was not willing to believe that a woman of Val's nature would succumb that easily. It had to be an act.

What baffled him was what she was really planning to do.

' I'll wait a little longer, if she isn't coming out then I'll go drag her out.' He had no reason to doubt her since she didn't have her phone nor any means to communicate with anyone on her. All he could think was that she was trying to stall him and buy herself more time.

' Perhaps, she plans to stall until it was time to catch the flight to Seattle?' Attorney Chris paused when the thought occured to him. He put away the glass from his lips and smiled.

' Bingo!' He thought he'd figured out Val's intention. Regardless, attorney Chris wasn't agitated. He slowly sipped on his drink again after a short while.

Attorney Chris didn't bother at all about Val trying to stall for time by locking herself in the bathroom.

All he had to do was threaten to leak her nudes if she didn't step out anytime he wanted, and she would come out running like a mouse whose hole was caught in fire. Attorney Chris was more confident now, after all, Val wasn't being cooperative as he'd thought.

' Smartass!' He cursed. Even after making it clear enough to Val what he was going to do at any sign of her not complying with his demands, she still did this.

However, this was exactly what attorney Chris wanted. He wanted her to try and struggle, he wanted to play mind games with her until she was broken and realizes how helpless she is. He wanted to see her plead in tears, while losing all interest in ever trying to go against him.

While still drinking and in thought of breaking Val's mind, another five minutes flied past and it was then that the attorney saw Val through the corner of his eyes, walk out the bathroom into the bed room that had its door wide open.

She was still wet from the shower and had a long white towel wrapped about her body with her blonde hair falling down her back in a straight alluring drape.

Attorney Chris frowned and put down his wine glass. He slowly strode towards the room discarding all the thoughts he had earlier of Val's intention. Right now, he was confused as heck and couldn't help but start to feel that perhaps, Val wasn't lying when she'd said she would cooperate with him and comply with his demands.

' This bitch!' Attorney Chris swore.

Entering the room, the sweet, relaxing and refreshing smell of bath filled his nostril. Attorney Chris whiffed and quickly looked about the room to find Val.

However, when his gaze met Val's curvy figure standing before the dresser of delicate design his body burned in intense desire and his eyes bulged.

Val's spotless, hairless skin glossed under the cozy lighting of the room, as she was fresh out of the shower.

Attorney Chris grew rock hard as an iron at the mere thought that he had her all to himself for the night. His previous agitations were washed away by Val's seductive appeal.

The attorney stood by the door and just gawked at Val's figure in the room as she wiped herself clean with a smaller towel piece. He was unsure whether to approach her or return when he was much calmer and less provoked. However, Attorney Chris couldn't hold himself back any longer. He'd wanted her ever since the first time he'd seen her naked, and he'd been holding back his urge since then. But now, he couldn't anymore.

He silently walked behind Val and neared his body to hers.

Val who had purposely made attorney Chris see her when she got out of the bathroom was startled when she felt him grab her from behind.

Her heart that had previously calmed started to race again. Her instincts screamed at her to push him away but she held back the urge knowing she shouldn't.

She had only thought to make him see her leave the bathroom so as to avoid him being suspicious of her. Val didn't know she'd provoke his patience and make him act like this.

' It has to be the towel, he must have mistaken it to mean something else.' Val thought still in panic as to what to do now. She had no choice but to cover herself with the towel since her clothes had been left in the living room. Val didn't think it'd rile up attorney Chris' desire.

Val's prior plan was to stall for time as much as she could. However, feeling the hardness that poked at her from behind, she trembled in fright knowing she was in grave danger, and was running out of time.
