Chapter 10: Chapter 10
Alfonso Tommaso
I had to wake up early today as I was called during the night and had some business to take care of. Some things were attacking my worker at one of my warehouses. Honestly, it's starting to get irritating, as this always happens once or twice a month. They just wanted some money to shut themselves up with drugs for the time being, and I was not ready to keep giving them money from my pocket.
Going towards the dining room, I asked one of the maids to make me a coffee before requesting that they get me the maid I appointed for Rose.
I'm taking my phone. I decided to check the headline for today's news. My cousin, one of the hottest guys in town, was there with different women by his arms as he was seen leaving the club. Rolling my eyes, I put my phone down, and that's the person that the council thinks they can entrust my family's fortune to, I thought, as I couldn't help but feel annoyed.
"Sir," my soft voice said beside me, bringing me out of my thoughts. Turning around, I saw the lady I assigned to help my wife be, nodding my head at her and asking her to come closer.
"I will be leaving early today; I want you to keep an eye on Rose for me; don't even think of letting her out of your sight, and if anything happens, tell Marcus to call alright." I told her.
She nodded her head and bowed at me before taking her leave. Picking up my phone, I stood up and made my way out of the mansion.
Getting down in front of my warehouse, I dipped my hands in my pocket, leaning against my car, and looked at the scene before me. I saw the thugs were on their knees. It looks like my men already did a perfect job, considering how swollen their faces look. I am not the only one that has been frustrated by these idiots lately, I thought before making my way towards them.
. "So what's the matter this time?" I asked as I signaled one of my men to get me a chair.
"They came by this morning, saying the noise coming from the warehouse was becoming too much and was affecting them and other people." The head guard came forward and told me.
Raising my eyebrows and placing both my middle and index finger under my chin, I looked at my guard before turning to give the thugs a mockingly surprised look.
"But we just keep things here; it's not like we manufacture them here, mates." I said, looking at each and every one of them, waiting for their response. When I got none, I knew what they wanted was money, and they are wasting my time right now.
"You need money, am I right?" I asked them, looking at them with a bored expression. Honestly, they were hitting my last nerve with this shite. I have a lot on my plate that I need to worry about, and these illiterates were just adding to both my problems and my work.
"No, we don't; we are fighting for our rights." One of them shouted. When he made me look at him, the fool couldn't even meet my eyes—talk about fighting, I thought.
Getting up, as I was bored already, I asked my head guard to come closer.
"Find something for all of them." I said, giving him a little bag that contained money.
They all looked at me and started shouting and cheering, making me turn to them and raise an eyebrow at them.
"Why are you cheering?" I thought this was about your rights. I mocked, making them all look at me sheepishly before bowing their heads down and turning back to my guard. I continued, "Make sure this doesn't happen again, and if they try to cause any more problems, take care of them the right way." I said, looking at them again to show I meant what I had just said.
After leaving the warehouse, I went to my office to get some work done, as I had some contracts I needed to sign.
Getting off the elevator, I was greeted by a secretary who looked worried, and as I was about to ask what the matter was, I heard a clapping sound coming from behind me. Turning around, I rolled my eyes as I saw Marcus.
"Wow!" "It looks like someone isn't happy to see me."
"What do you want, Marcus?" I asked.
" Why? Can't a little brother think of visiting his big brother again? After all, you were always told to take care of them. He said this, looking at me and smirking.
"Look, Marcus, it is too early for me to be annoyed, so state your business here and leave." I said, opening the door to my office.
Sitting down, I rubbed my temples; I was starting to have a headache, and the day hadn't fully started yet. First I had to deal with those idiots, and now this thing in the form of a human is in my office.
"You looked stressed out, brother." "You want me to give you a massage?" Marcus asks mockingly.
Choosing to ignore him, I asked my secretary to get me some files to work on.
"I heard you suddenly want to get married, and I can't help but wonder who the lady is that my big brother has been hiding from us." He said it cockily. I knew he was trying to get a reaction out of me this morning just to cause more problems between our family, so I chose to ignore him.
"Oh, common Alfonso, don't tell me you are just going to ignore me like that." He said he was waiting for my response again.
When my secretary brought the file for me, I thanked him and started working on it, ignoring the annoying thing in my office.
After some moments, I heard the door close with a bang, raising my head. I saw he had already left the room; oh, so he finally got bored, right, I thought, rolling my eyes.
I was about to go back to the file I was working on when my phone went off. Picking it up, I used one hand to place it on my ear while my other hand helped the file fall on my eyes, never leaving them.
"Sir, we've got a problem."
"Madam is missing." My guards said, making my eyes widen a little bit.
