" Wifey, eat something, please. You haven't eaten anything since yesterday," Mikaeel requested Aurin who was shedding tears while sitting on the bed.

Aurin asked hiccupping," My.....baby.....is......no more........Why.......all.......these are happening to me?"

" Everything will be fine. Just keep your trust in Almighty," Mikaeel replied pulling her into his chest.

Aurin wailed soaking his shirt with her tears," Why my baby left me, Mikaeel? I had so many dreams about our daughter!! I had so many.............."

She couldn't finish her sentence due to heartache and crying. Mikaeel tried a lot to console her but nothing was working. He wasn't finding proper words to console her.

" Our daughter is in heaven. Don't cry, wifey. The Angels will take care of our daughter," Mikaeel uttered with great difficulty since his vision was also getting blurry.

Two days passed after that incident and nothing was normal in Aurin & Mikaeel's life. Both of them were upset but Aurin was way too depressed. She doesn't eat properly nor does she talks to Mikaeel. The only thing she would do is cry for her unborn baby. She had so many dreams about this baby but now everything is gone.

Mikaeel can't see Aurin like that. He tried a lot to console her but nothing was working. He can't even imagine what a mother felt after losing her child. His heart also bleeds for the child but Aurin's tears just make his condition worse. Noticing Aurin's situation he realised that Aurin needs medical help. She was getting ill after losing the baby.

Right now, Aurin and Mikaeel just came out of a doctor's room after consulting a doctor. The doctor suggested that Mikaeel should not leave Aurin alone. She is depressed and psychologically she needs emotional support.

" Everything will be alright. We will try for a baby again," Mikaeel told Aurin circling his hand around her shoulder and Aurin only nodded her head slightly.

They were walking through the corridor suddenly something caught their attention. More precisely, it was someone. Mikaeel and Aurin shared a confused look after seeing Maryam here. They looked at her carefully and noticed that she was talking to the receptionist. She was looking so pale and broken. The dark circles under her eyes, that doleful expression on her face and messy dried hair were telling that something was wrong with her.

" What's she doing here?" Aurin asked sounding curious.

Mikaeel replied rolling his eyes," Whatever! Let her deal with her life. Let's go."

" Wait," Aurin said and then both of them followed Maryam.

After walking for a minute Maryam reached the ICU. Mikaeel & Aurin also went there and peeped through the small glass section on the door. A gasp left Aurin's mouth and Mikaeel's eyes widened with pure shock after seeing Maryam's youngest daughter laying on the bed.

The little girl's whole body was bandaged, an oxygen mask was covering her mouth and a cannula was attached to her hand. Except for her innocent face, her whole body was bandaged. Various types of medical equipment were attached to her small body. Maryam was shedding silent tears looking at her daughter.

" What happened to her daughter?" Mikaeel whispered feeling his heart pumping blood abruptly.

He doesn't know what he felt. But, he is sure that his heart was paining for this innocent soul. After all, he is her father. Unknowingly he felt the fatherly affection for the baby.

Before Aurin & Mikaeel could recover from the shock, Maryam came out of the ICU. She blinked her eyes confusingly after seeing Mikaeel & Aurin here. Of course, she was shocked to see them here but her mind wasn't in the state to ask Mikaeel why is he there?

" What happened to your daughter?" Aurin asked Maryam.

Maryam replied sounding guilty," My daughter is facing the consequences of my Karma."

" What do you mean? What happened to your daughter?" Mikaeel asked sounding extremely worried.

Maryam didn't answer his question, she just said having a painful expression," You guys cursed me saying that I will never find happiness. You guys cursed me saying that I should go through more pain. Look, the Almighty has heard your prayers. I don't blame you guys. I got what I deserve."

" I did injustice with you, Miki. I am sorry for that. Because of me, you had to go through a lot of difficulties. I am sorry for everything," Maryam apologised looking into Mikaeel's eyes.

Then, she went towards Aurin and said holding her hands," I am sorry, Mrs Sheikh. Because of me, you had to face horrible situations. I became so self-obsessed that I couldn't even differentiate what was right and wrong. You were right that I will be punished. You were true that I might have escaped law but mother nature won't forgive me."

" I know whatever happened I don't deserve any forgiveness after this. But, still, I will ask forgiveness from you. Try to forgive me just looking at my daughter. I was wrong but my daughter was innocent. She doesn't deserve punishment for my misdeeds. I am sorry," Maryam said shedding tears and then entered the ICU again.

Mikaeel and Aurin were dumbfounded. They weren't understanding what to say or how to react. They weren't understanding whether they should mourn for their loss or feel sorry for Maryam. They did curse her but they never wanted something to happen to her daughter. Their reaction was just a natural outcome of the situation they were in.

" Let's go. Let her deal with her life," Mikaeel said circling his hand around Aurin's shoulder.

" Wifey, I am searching for another surrogate. Don't worry. We will be parents very soon," Mikaeel said serving the pancakes in front of Aurin.

Aurin didn't reply. She started eating silently or we can say she was pushing the food down her throat. She hasn't overcome the grief of losing her daughter.

Noticing her gloomy face Mikaeel sighed. He grabbed her one hand tightly and she diverted her gaze at him.

" Don't worry, wifey. Everything will be fine. I will go to any length to bring back your smile," Mikaeel promised and Aurin only gave him a silent nod.

Both of them concentrated on their food plate but unknowingly their minds remembered Maryam. Specifically, Maryam's daughter. It's been one week since Mikaeel & Aurin met Maryam. After seeing Maryam's daughter on the hospital bed Mikaeel & Aurin were guilty. They didn't want the poor soul to go through hell. Both of them were already upset about their loss but Maryam's situation added more tension to their life. Mikaeel tried to know what happened to the baby but no one gave him much information. He only got to know that a horrible accident is the reason behind that poor baby's situation.

" I shouldn't have cursed Maryam like that. Because of me, her daughter is suffering," Aurin said suddenly startling Mikaeel.

He replied grabbing her hand," No. What are you even saying? Don't blame yourself. It was an accident."

" I am being punished for cursing Maryam," Aurin let out sounding extremely sad.

Slamming his hands on the table, Mikaeel shouted," What nonsense!!! Why are you blaming yourself!! Stop this madness."

" Then, why my baby was snatched from me?" Aurin asked bursting into tears and this time Mikaeel couldn't say anything.

He got close to her and she hugged his waist tightly. Mikaeel started stroking her hair gently to calm her down but he knows that it was not an easy task. This incident has left a big scar on Aurin's memory.

" I promise you that I will do anything to bring our baby back. I can't see tears in your eyes," Mikaeel assured patting Aurin's head affectionately.

Aurin was still crying hugging his waist when someone rang the doorbell. Mikaeel went to open the door giving a glass of water to Aurin's hands.

" What are you doing here?" Aurin was startled by Mikaeel's loud voice.

She rushed towards the main door and reaching there she found that the uninvited guest was none other than Maryam. With slow steps, she went near Maryam and stood beside Mikaeel.

" I wanted to talk to you guys about some important matter," Maryam said while Aurin & Mikaeel shared a suspicious look.

Maryam started explaining," I know that you guys are searching for a surrogate. If you want I can be the surrogate of your child. I know I have gone through some mental disturbance but physically I am fit. If you want you guys can do my full body check-up."

Hearing Maryam's words Mikaeel's brain stopped working for a few seconds and Aurin felt like Maryam has left her brain somewhere else. She couldn't believe what she just heard now. Mikaeel and Aurin shared a dumbfounded look.

" Before you ask me why I want to help you then let me clear everything. I want to repent for whatever I did. I want to help you. If I bring the happiness of your life maybe the Almighty will forgive me. I want to do all these for my daughter. Maybe the Almighty will let my daughter recover because of my repentance. It's a request," Maryam literally pleaded with teary eyes.

Aurin remained silent after hearing her because she wasn't understanding what to say or how to react. She was numb to utter even a single word.

" I don't need your help. In fact, I don't want you near us. You can leave now. What if it's your another trap to take revenge from me," Mikaeel responded rudely.

Maryam said lowering her head," Miki, I swear it's not any trap. I want to help genuinely. My daughter is dying in the hospital. Do you think I am in the state to play games?"

" First of all, don't call me Miki with your filthy mouth. Secondly, I know you very well. You can go to any length for your selfish reasons. So, just get lost. We don't need your help," Mikaeel insulted Maryam and threw her outside of his house.

Slamming the door right on Maryam's face, he returned to the bedroom with a shocked Aurin.
