Chapter 68: Chapter 68
I did my best to look natural in the photos and not looked like I was forced into something. I projected some natural smiles which would make my aura natural. I just thought of the camera as Wade and smiling at him is the best motivation I have for my face to look as natural as ever.
We were having a break when Echo came to me and handed me the phone.
"Excuse me, Miss, your mother is calling," He said.
I took my phone from him and talked to Mom. "Hey, Mom, what's up?"
"Hey dear, I heard that you and Wade were on vacation. Why didn't you call us? We dropped by your house last night to surprise you but we were the ones who were surprised!" She said.
"Mom, this is not a vacation, okay? I am here because I have a shoot here and he just followed me. It wasn't planned. I'm sorry if I didn't call you. Everything just happened so fast and I was kind of busy here with the photoshoots." I said.
"Oh, is that so?" She said. "Anyway, congratulations on that project; I know you'll nail that just like the others."
"Thanks, Mom, that really means a lot to me," I said.
"Of course," She said. "Anyway, I'm glad that you and Wade are back on enjoying each other's company again. That's really good for couples to take some days off and have fun. You should enjoy that while it lasts because you won't be doing that forever."
"Yeah, of course, Mom," I said. I know that Mom has been expecting too much from this relationship and I don't have the heart to fail her. Wade was right; we could still save this. We could still love each other from now on without all the lies around. This time, it would be real.
"Anyway, I have been bubbling too much," She said and laughed. Yes, Mom, you have been; I laughed to myself. "When are you coming home?"
"I don't know yet Mom," I said. "Why? Is there a problem?"
"Oh no, nothing," She said. "Your Dad just wants to talk to Wade about business, that's all."
"Oh, I'll tell him, Mom," I said. "Anyway, I have to go now Mom; the shoot's starting again. I'll see you soon, bye. I love you,"
"Alright dear," She said. "I love you too, take care,"
I ended the call and gave it back to Echo before going back to the set.

I looked at the people around thinking that I could see Wade but he wasn't there. Our shoot was about to be done but he didn't even show up. Well, I didn't really expect that much since he already said that he has some things to attend to. I posed in there for the few remaining shots that we have to do before we wrap everything up. It was a fun shoot at all. I never had dull moments with all the models as they were so engaging and fun to be with. The group shots were done in just two hours since everyone was professional enough and came to the set on time. Plus, everyone here was professionals in this job and knew exactly what they were doing and what they were here for.
"And we're done!" The photographer said after taking the last shot for this project.
Everyone clapped their hands and cheered in victory and hugged each other.
"I want to thank each and every one of you for making my job here as easy as it could be." The photographer said as he looked at each one of us. "Thank you for your effort, everybody!"
Everyone clapped and cheered and congratulated each other. It was one of the best things in a project shoot just like this one; the wrap-up. It just means that we were able to do whatever was required of us and that gives me a sense of pride.
"Finally," Drake said as he stood beside me and looked around.
"Finally," I said and smiled. I was also happy while looking at everyone with smiles on their faces.
"So, are you leaving already after this or are you still staying for another night?" He asked me.
"We'll be staying," I said and turned to him.
"Oh, sounds like the lover's quarrel have been resolved." He said with a smirk on his face.
"Yeah, I guess you could say that," I said and smiled. "We're going on a yacht date tonight."
He nodded. "Good for you so you won't have to mope around like a child who lost her candy."
"What?!" I said and laughed so hard. "How dare you compare me to a moping child?"
"Because that's what you looked like last night," He said and laughed. "Remember? When you were alone at the shore and crying like you lost a candy?"
"I did not!" I said. "You're just making that up, Drake. I definitely didn't look like that."
"Whatever," He said and laughed again. "Anyway, I have to go. I have a date with someone tonight too so I must go,"
"Wow, that woman is very lucky," I said.
"Do you really think so or is that sarcasm I heard in your voice?" He said with a smirk.
"No, it is true, she's one hell of a lucky girl," I said.
"Oh, thanks," He said. "Anyway, I'll leave now. Have a good night later and don't forget to keep in touch. You know my social media accounts already; just beep me up if anything happens, okay?"
"Sure," I said. "I would be messaging you soon."
He nodded and then turned to leave the venue. I watched him leave and disappear on the alleys. Now, it's my turn to leave and get ready for that yacht date I was so excited about.
I was about to gather my things when my bodyguards beat me to it.
"Where's your boss?" I asked them. "I haven't seen him around."
"Oh, he's just in your room Miss; he's been very busy today." Echo said.
"Alright," I said as I looked around. "You can take care of my things here, right? I have to get to him now."
Echo nodded and let my other guard take my things while he accompanies me upstairs. I was a bit exhausted but the thought of a yacht date with Wade gives me so much energy and positivity. We entered the elevator and Echo pressed the top floor button. We were silent in there until the door opened on our floor. I quickly got out and walked towards our room. I opened the door and immediately looked for Wade but he wasn't there. Where is he?
