Chapter 67: Chapter 67

I told Wade that I would be done a little after sunset so we could still enjoy the view ourselves on the yacht date that he was telling me about. He agreed. I asked him if he would go to the shoot with me but he said he would just follow as he still has some business to do. I wonder what those businesses were but I guess that's what happens when a CEO takes very untimely days off work. It was a Sunday yet he still works so hard and not just takes the day off from anything related to business.

I immediately prepared myself for the make-up session downstairs after taking a bath and talking to Wade. I have to be on time so I must hurry. When I was done, I quickly said goodbye to Wade and ran to the elevator. My two guards were at me again when I was on my way to the conference where we would be having our make-up for the shots today. I walked inside the conference room where the models will be preparing for the shoot and immediately looked for Drake. I just wanted to ask him why he did that and to thank him also for not leaving me there when I was drunk. I know that he could have just let me be but he took a step and called for Wade.

"Where is he?" I said to myself after looking around but never finding him. Is he avoiding me or something?

"What are you looking for?" I heard Drake's voice from behind me so I turned to face him.

"Where have you been?" I said. I couldn't possibly just walk past him; I made sure that I check every person inside. Did he just enter now?

"Restroom," He simply said. "Why? Am I the one you were looking for?"

"Yeah," I said.

"And why is that?" He said. "Anyway, how are you feeling you, alcoholic girl? You were so wasted last night. I didn't think you'd be since we'll have a shoot today. Did your husband whip your ass last night?" He even wiggled his brows as if he was teasing me.

"What?!" I said. "No, he didn't and that is exactly why I am looking for you."

He raised a brow as he looked at me as if he wanted me to continue what I was saying. "Okay, so I just wanted to thank you for calling him last night. Thank you for not just leaving me there."

"Oh, that's nothing," He said.

"But why did you do that?" I said.

"Why?" He said. "Did you really think that I was into you? That you thought I would make you drunk just so I can have my way unto you? Anyway, I was just concern about you, okay? I thought that it was the right thing to do since I was the one who brought you in there."

"That's not what I said," I said and laughed while shaking my head. "You're the one who said that."

I heard him cleared his throat and shook his head. "I told you, I am not a bad person Camierre. Plus, you're a married woman; I don't mingle with the married ones especially when you have a husband as powerful and influential as Wade Harris."

I raised my brow at him and then smiled. "Now I know I can trust this guy after all."

"What are you smiling at?" He said.

"Nothing," I said. "Thank you, Drake,"

He shook his head and smiled. "You're welcome, billionaire's queen,"

"What?" I said while laughing.

"Billionaire's queen," He said and laughed. That name doesn't really suit me well since I am not a queen and most of all I am not Wade's.

The organizer came to us and told us to prepare for the shoot already and be at the venue in ten.

"Let's do this," Wade said as he pulled me to where our outfits would be. This time, we won't be in our swimsuits rather; we will be wearing summer dresses and summer tops, and board shorts for men. This shoot will be about promoting the brands as the people's go-to outfits during vacations and side trips.

"Jeez Miss Camierre, what happened last night?" Lara said enough for almost everyone to hear. We were sitting at the make-up chairs that were meant for us and our make-up artists were doing their best to achieve the look that we needed for the shoot. Although I think that the look should be as normal as possible since it is for a summer shoot but I know that there is still appropriate make-up for that.

"What about last night?" I said with furrowed brows. I remembered that I saw her at the beach party last night and she was dancing as well.

"You know when your husband picked you up from the party?" She said. "It was romantic; the way he carried you was just the same as what we see in movies. I was giggling the whole time if only you could have seen me. I was like a fan of a love team who just saw her idols."

I shook my head and laughed. I think she was just exaggerating things. "I was just drunk last night," I said.

"And your savior came rushing in to save the night," She said. "Everyone was so quiet at that time even the music was off and then he carried you like a real hero. Oh, I am so jealous of you!"

I laughed at her choice of words. "He's just concerned, you know, he's my husband after all."

"Yeah," She said. "I wish I could marry a man like him; I really do."

"Don't worry; someday you'll find the man of your dreams too and he'll love you so much more than anything in the world."

"I really do hope so," She said dreamily. "I really want to build a perfect family just like what you two could have someday."

I wish you know what I have and have been going through right now. I bet she wouldn't even say that at all. I am not lucky; I am just strong enough to handle the consequences of loving a man like Wade.
