Chapter 69: Chapter 69
"He's not here," I turned to Echo who was just behind me. I went to my bed and sat down and that's when I saw a note on my bedside table underneath a beautiful red rose. I took it and read it.
'See you later. I'll wait for you at the yacht'
Love, Wade
I smiled and put the note back on the table as I picked up the rose. I smelled it as my eyes were closed. It's a good thing that Echo was busy on his phone when I did that. That would have been so embarrassing to see. I looked like a teenager who just received a gift from her crush.
"Excuse me, Miss," Echo said so I turned to him. He just got off his phone. "Mr. Wade told me to bring you to the yacht whenever you're ready."
"Oh, okay," I said. "I'll just change and I'll be out in a few."
"Alright," He said. "I'll just wait for you outside, Miss."
I nodded and he walked out of the room. I looked at the note and the rose once again. I felt special like he really thought so much of this but why did he go there without me? He could have just waited for me in here. I shrugged the thought off. Maybe he just had to take care of the yacht and our dinner. I smiled. I hope that this is going to be a good night after all.
I quickly went to the bathroom and decided to take a shower. I was so excited. I couldn't remember the last time that I was this excited. I have thought of what I would say to him. I am ready to forgive him and if he's really in love with me, then I would accept him again this time. I smiled at that thought.
I hurriedly finished my shower and went out of the bathroom. I needed to hurry since it was already five in the afternoon and I also didn't want to make Echo wait for that much for me. I sat at the chair in front of the mirror and blow-dried my hair. After that, I went through my clothes and decided to go for a white halter peplum dress which will look good and suitable for a yacht dinner. I also brought a purse to pair with it. I changed into my chosen dress and then started doing my make-up. I wanted to look good tonight since I will be making a huge decision in my life. I wanted to do a full make-up for myself tonight just to make it more appealing. It took me an hour to achieve the look that I wanted. I also put my hair on a high bun to give an accent to my face. I put on dangling earrings and an infinity-shaped necklace which I just bought online and I liked it so much as it suits me well. I put my flat sandals on thinking that it would make me more comfortable and easier to get on a yacht. I looked for my favorite perfume and sprayed some on me until I was satisfied. I looked at the mirror once again and was satisfied with how I looked. I smiled proudly to myself. You really did well! I thought to myself.
I took my phone and put it in my purse before I went out of our room. I saw Echo outside and he was surprised to see the way I looked. Maybe he was just so used to seeing me without or with just minimal make-up on that he was stunned to see me.
"So? How do I look?" I asked him. He was still looking at me speechless. "Hey!"
"M-miss?" He said when he got back to his senses.
"I said; how do I look?" I said.
"You look gorgeous, Miss," He said. "I'm sure Mr. Wade will love the way you look tonight."
"Do you think so?" I said.
"I know so," He said and smiled at me. "Shall we?" He motioned his hand for me to go ahead.
"We shall," I said and walked past him.
There were people on the elevator and I felt like I was a standout in there. They were looking at me since I was fully dressed while they were just wearing ordinary clothes as if they were about to go and explore the place at night. I could even see from the reflection on the elevator wall that they were looking at me in awe. I didn't mean for it to sound boastful but I was just saying what I saw. I know that I am beautiful; probably why I was accepted in the modeling world but I don't really say that out loud. I let people decided whether I look good to them or not. I looked at Echo was beside me and whispered. "Why are they all looking at me like that?"
"It's because you look like a Goddess, Miss," He said and smiled.
"What?" I said and laughed. He's bluffing. I am nowhere near a Goddess!
The elevator door opened to the ground floor and I stepped out together with the others. Drake held my arm lightly and pulled me to the side so I won't get in the way of the people around. I'm glad that we have come into terms with my bodyguards and they have become my friends, especially Echo, who has been patient with all my rants about his boss before. I know that he was just doing his job and I appreciate him for that.
"Are you ready?" He said.
I nodded and smiled.
"It's good to finally see you smile so genuinely again, Miss," He said.
"Thank you," I said.
"Let's go this way, please," He said and led the way. He was still holding me and keeping an eye on me as the way was a bit dark with the LED lights from the coconut trees were the only ones that light the way to the shore. We reached the shore in no time and Echo called for someone who was at the boat.
"We need to ride this boat on the way to the yacht." He said.
"Alright," I said as I walked to the boat. "Good thing I didn't wear a long dress for tonight."
"Yeah," He said as we walked to the boat. "I'll carry you so you won't have to get your feet wet."
"No, I can manage," I said. "I'll just take my sandals off and put them back on the boat."
"Alright, if that's what you want Miss," He said and started walking on the waters. "Come on, I'll hold them for you. I'll hold your hand as well so you won't fall."
I gave him my hand so we walked hand in hand into the boat which wasn't very far from the shore. The water just reached a little above my knees so I pulled my dress up with my left hand while the other was holding to Echo for assistance. The boat driver put the stairs down so that it would be easier for me to climb up the boat. I did it in no time as well as Echo. He made me sit in the middle of the boat and handed me my sandals back.
Echo stood behind me and pointed at the lights not far from us. "That is the yacht," He said.
And Wade is waiting there for me; I thought to myself.
