—Anika's Past lover

Ariana Pov ( as Anika )

" Ergo?" I mumbled after waking up in my deep dreams.

If you ask me about my dream, I recalled some but not all of it. The only image that closes to my mind was the weird face of a genie coming out from a small bottle full of thick violet fume and I saw my face inside my dream.

I saw myself but was used by the soul of the owner of this body which I'm using right now. She's trapped inside my era and I was also trapped in her time. I wish, we could swap our souls last night but how. The only thing I remember was what the genie said before he put us back in a deep sleep.

To be back to our bodies, he will tell us again tonight, in our dream. I had no idea what is it, but I'm positive that that could help us and if that's the only way to do it, I had to take the risk. I want to see my husband because I missed him so much.

I'm about to get up from the queen size bed of the owner of this house when I received a phone call this early. I'm still wearing the blue nightgown I found in her cabinet. I feel a little cold because of its silk cloth. In my era, we wear a couple of undergarments on our dress so it's a bit awkward for me to wear this so I put five Sandos under her nightgown.

"Yes, hello? You know what time is it to call?" I asked the early bird caller and it's my secretary Denise, I mean Anika's secretary.

" I'm sorry to disturb you ma'am but your ex-boyfriend Jerick screaming outside! He's looking for you. Should I open the door?" That's what Denise said on the other line.

Denise was living with her and Sebastian and Celine. She was using the phone from downstairs to call me. I don't even know that the owner of this body had a past lover. My head throbs after hearing what Denise said.

" What? You mean her ex?--I mean my ex?" My lips quivered because I don't even know what I'm going to do about him.

Why she had a past lover and why I need to deal with it? I had no choice but to face him and tell him to come back tomorrow.

"Okay, tell him to wait for me!" I ordered her and I look for a jacket to use first to cover my nightdress. I comb my hair and put on light makeup to cover my sleepy eyes.

" Okay, ma'am!" She replied and I hang up after.

Jerick POV

I looked up at Anika's gate and I was like wow, she made her dream come true. I never thought that she could pay all the debts her parents left to her after they died.

I was a fool and scared at that time that I may fail her and can't help her with their company's stock problem. After hearing that their family business was about to collapse, he decided to not show up to their wedding day. He loves her but he was afraid to accept the fact that she also loves her because of her parent's money.

I became a ran away groom that day and I had no idea what did Anika do that time after she waits for me for nothing. Now, I just missed her and I realized that I still loved her. I raised my left arms to check my wristwatch if what time is it because I think I came here too early but I knew Anika very well, she's an early bird who always waking up every four in the morning. I was now inside their gate. I rang the doorbell outside but nobody came out. I pressed almost ten times when a lady in her early twenties appeared in the front door and was approaching me.

"Hi, May I know you? Where's Anika? Is she lived here?" I asked her about using my beautiful smile.

She's pretty too but a little nerdy type kind of girl. She wrapped her arms around her because a cold wind suddenly came by and brush our hair which made me feel frozen too.

" I'm her secretary Denise. How about you? Did she know you? You made neighbors awake you know. It's only four in the morning, sir!" She was kinda felt irritated about me bombarding their territory.

I smirked and took a sigh.

"I'm so sorry about that. Anyway, I'm Jerick, Anika's ex-boyfriend. Can you call her for me? I badly want to meet her!" I beg to make my puffy eyes on her.

"Oh, I don't think she's awake now. Can you come back later?" She tried to pursue me to come back but I insisted.

She took a deep breath.

"Okay. Follow me." She said and let me come into the mansion. I waited outside the main door.

Thirty minutes later

Anika ambled downstairs in a jacket and a nightgown. She's a bit worried because she was Ariana and she had only the face of Anika. She doesn't know what to tell him.

"I can do this!" She whispered to herself as she came into the living room and saw the guy, I mean Anika's past lover.

Anika Pov

"Hey!" I called him because he was looking at the pictures on the wall.

He turned around and I saw the features of his looks and I can see that he seems not a nice guy. I could sense that he may be coming back because Anika was now a successful woman in the world of business. He looks so manly though with those rounded green eyes he had, his small but pointed nose and lips so kissable. His biceps fitted perfectly in his grey fitted t-shirt and black jeans that made him look simple but hot.

I stared at her from head to toe. I gulped a bit because he's not bad for a guy but why did he be her past lover now? He quickly stretched his lips from ear to ear for a bright smile. The most unanticipated things that happened is when he quickly walked closer towards me and envelope his arms around my back.

" I miss you, Anika! I did! I'm so sorry because I left you on our wedding day!" He was crying on my shoulders.

I don't know what to do. So this is why he came back? How rude is he? So Anika was broken all this time that's why she looks as cold as a military in an airforce.

I pushed him away. I don't know. I just did.

"Go away! I don't want to see you again! Not this time!" I yelled at him.

I don't know. Maybe, I felt what Anika was feeling right now. But why I felt hurt too? Why I was mad at him? But the worst thing I felt was the feeling in my heart, why I felt so warm to see him again this time? I thought she forgets about him forever but why I feel so into him? Doesn't that mean, Anika still love him? No! It's my soul now so I was the one who experienced it.

"Please, don't leave me. I know what I did was unforgivable but I want to make amends! Please!" He forces me to accept him as nothing happened in the past.

I shook my head. I set my eyes on him and I saw his teary eyes. He looks so down but this has nothing to do with me.

I turned around to go back upstairs to my bedroom.

"But, I'll come back. I know you still love me, Anika!" He shouted before Denise lead him to the gate.

As I went inside my room, I slammed my body on my bed and I took a deep breath.

I want to go back to sleep again. I need to relax my mind. I wish I can doze off a bit because going to her company made my head ache.
