Chapter 90: Chapter 90

In the dim-lit chamber, Hendrix knelt before the caged Alex, his dark eyes resembling a bottomless pit.

"Hendrix," a voice echoed among the cloaked men.

"Are you certain he's fully transformed?" one of them asked mockingly. "Look at him, still breathing like a human, and the shackles on him. If he had turned into a demon, shouldn't he have broken the shackles?" he added, addressing the others.

Nods of agreement circled the group, leaving Hendrix uncertain.

"Allow me to test his strength. We'll know if the demon's soul's water truly worked," proposed a cloaked man.

Hendrix, rising from his knees, stepped aside, granting the cloaked man an opportunity.

"Alex, the demon," the man declared, dragging his sword along the ground.

"You're no longer an alpha; no need for this pretense," he taunted, entering the circle.

A few paces, and the man halted before Alex, raising his sword to strike.

"Bannnnggs!" Chains rippled with a loud sound, hurling the man like a ragdoll to the ground.

Alex stood, wielding the sword that sliced the cloaked man in two, throwing the others into a frenzy.

"It worked!" Hendrix exclaimed, indifferent to the fallen man.

The remaining men, terror-stricken, took steps back, fearing the transformed Alex.

"My Lord," Hendrix pleaded, kneeling. "I swear my loyalty to you," he vowed, prostrating on all fours.

"Hendrix," the demonic voice called.

"My Lord," he answered. "I've prepared what you need to regain strength stolen by these humans," Hendrix responded.

"Bring the bodies," Hendrix commanded the cloaked men outside the circle.

They rose from their positions in the woods, gathering the corpses of the wolves killed by them. The lifeless forms were brought to Alex, who plucked out their eyeballs and consumed them, groaning and shouting after each gruesome feast. Soldiers who remained alive and warm had their blood consumed.

The horrifying scenes unfolded, leaving the soldiers paralyzed as they helplessly witnessed Alex's gruesome acts, while Hendrix chanted praises to the demon.
