Chapter 68: Chapter 68

Alex stormed into his room and slammed the door shut. The rage boiling inside him was enough to melt down metal. He was angry at his father for keeping such a secret from him for years. How could he have been so selfish? And to think that his own father had awoken a demon just to gain power and prestige.

As he paced back and forth in his room, he felt a strange sensation coursing through his veins. It was a feeling of power, of strength, that he had never experienced before. Suddenly, he felt like he was not alone in his body anymore. It was like something else was sharing his mind and body with him.

Alex's eyes widened in terror as he realized what was happening. The demon inside him was awakening. He could feel its presence growing stronger with every passing second, and he knew that he had to do something before it was too late.

He tried suppressing his emotions but he couldn't, he tried taking his mind of things but nothing was working, he could feel it he was losing himself and he felt an uncontrollable rage building up inside him. His body began to tremble.

The demon took over completely. Alex felt his body being lifted off the ground as a dark aura surrounded him.

He felt a searing pain in his chest, and he fell to the ground, writhing in agony. His eyes turned red, his muscles bulged, and his skin began to ripple and change, taking on a dark hue. He felt an incredible surge of power coursing through his veins, and he began to convulse as the demon inside him grew more powerful. Alex was too shocked to even shout, and he watched in horror as his body began to transform.

Alex tried to fight back to regain control of his body, but the demon was too powerful. It spoke to him, in a voice that was not his own, promising him untold powers and strength if he would just submit to it completely.

It was only then that Alex realized what he had become. The demon his parents had spoken of was now inside him and not inside the orbs portrait. He had no idea how to control it. The demon was controlling his every move. It was a terrifying sight.

Alex tried to speak and call for help, but the demon had taken over. All he could manage was a low growl, as if he were trying to communicate in a language he could not understand.

As the transformation took over, Alex's eyes glowed with an otherworldly energy. His body contorted and twisted, his bones cracking and reforming into a new shape.

When the transformation was complete, Alex stood before the mirror, staring at his new form in awe.

His skin was now jet black, and his eyes glowed with a fiery red light. His muscles bulged and rippled, giving him an inhuman appearance.

As the demon inside Alex continued to rage, he realized that he would never be the same again. He was no longer just Alex - he was something else entirely, something powerful and dangerous.

Dark smoke started emitting from his body . Just then, someone opened the door and walked into his room, but Alex didn't know who it was because he was backing the door.

***********

Back in the dungeon, the spy who had made up her mind took out the poison Hendrix had given her. With tears rolling down freely from her eyes, she drank the content in the bottle and walked back to the dark part of her cell. She started feeling pains in the pit of her stomach, rolling her into the depths of agony.

The maid who usually brought food for all the prisoners saw her convulsing and let out a scream.

Every bodyguard standing on duty ran into the dungeon.

"What happened? why are you screaming?" Asked the first guard to get to her.

"She's convulsing," the maid said, pointing towards the spy.

"What did you give her? What did she eat?" Another guard questioned.

"I gave her nothing. Her food is still with me, I just got here," the maid explained with trembling lips. "I'm telling you the truth. I do not know what happened, I met her this way," the maid defended herself

"If she ate nothing, then why is she this way?" The first guard tossed a sceptical gaze at the maid.

The guards suspected the maid, and one of them ran out to call the highest guard on duty. When he came in, he wasn't fast at deciding what caused the spy to convulse.

He sent for the leader of the pack's warrior and also the pack's healer.

He also asked the guards to unlock the cell and bring out the spy.

As they walked in, the senior guard called their attention.

"Be very careful approaching her. She might also be pretending," he told the two guards who went inside the cell to bring out the convulsing spy.

As they approached the spy, one of the guard stepped on something and looked at the other guard because he didn't know what he had stepped on.

"Did you step on anything?" The first guard asked.

"No, why are you asking such question, did you step on anything?" The second guard replied him trying to look at his feet in the dark cell.

"I just did, I stepped on something, but I don't know what it is. Can you help me check?"

The senior guard noticed they stopped walking and called their attention, "What's happening there? Why aren't you bringing her out?"

"I stepped on something, sir. I don't know what it is," the first guard said

"You check what it is and bring her out quickly," the senior guard instructed.

When he checked, he saw that it was a bottle. He also reported to the senior guard, and he asked them to bring her out of the cell.

Just then, the leader of the pack's  warriors and the pack healers arrived, and they were shown the bottle–they confirmed that it was poison.

They took her to the clinic and started treatment, while the others commenced investigation of how the poison got to her.
