Chapter 41: Chapter 41

The following day, Jessica was still sleeping when her mum came to her room to see if she was awake. She hadn't heard from her last night because she quickly went to bed, claiming she was tired.

So, Mrs. Graves had decided to check up on her the next morning, and it was already past the time she woke up to prepare for work. Maybe she truly was tired, Mrs. Graves thought.

“ Jessica, are you awake,” Mrs. Graves said, trying to wake her up or else she would be

She didn't hear her response, she moved close to her bed and tapped her gently. If she doesn't wake up now, she would be late for work.

“ Princess, you're going to be late for work, you need to get up," her mother said, shaking her lightly.

Jessica opened her eyes slightly as a ray of light entered her eyes. Still unconscious of the time, she yawned and was about to sleep again when her mother's words replayed on her head. She jumped up immediately from her bed.

“ Mum! What's the time?"She shouted, scurrying out of the bed.

“It's past 7 am, just take your bath and dress up. I have already packed your lunch bag,” Her mum said.

“ Alright mum, thank you,” She responded as she rushed to the bathroom to have her bath.

After a few minutes, she was done. She puts on her dress and rushes downstairs with her handbag. She picked up her lunch bag and rushed to the door.

“ Mum, dad, twinnie, I love you, see you later," She shouted, running out of the house.

Coming outside the house, Jessica saw James' car packed in the front. She was a little surprised yet pleased. She ran toward the car and after confirming he was the one, he entered immediately and they both drove to work.

“ Good morning James, thanks for waiting for me,” Jessica greeted.

“It's okay, that's why we are friends,” James said, smiling.

"But this is truly stressful. How long have you been waiting?" She asked, feeling ashamed.

"Not long. About five minutes. I woke up a little late too," James lied. If only Jessica knew he had been there for more than an hour.

After twenty minutes of driving, the two arrived at the company. Jessica rushed out of the car, waving to James. She was truly grateful to him.

“ See you at lunch and thanks for the ride," Jessica shouted, as she rushed to the elevator.

"It's my pleasure, Jessy. If only you could see me in another light," James murmured to himself watching as she left the lift.

Edwin was in the parking lot at the same time, and seeing Jessica with James angered him again. He walked out of his car, looking at James with narrow eyes. He didn't hear James' words but he hated the way his eyes were feasting on Jessica.

Misha sighted Edwin and decided to greet him but she was ignored without a glance. She was so embarrassed but then that was Edwin. He only gives attention to whom he wants.

But then, there was something weird about the situation just now. She saw the way Edwin looked when he saw Jessica and James together. Could it be that Edwin was jealous? Was he into Jessica?

Misha walked dejectedly to her office thinking of what to do about Jessica. She regretted helping her get the job. She only did that because she wanted to have an excuse to be going towards Edwin's office.

She thought that being friends with Jessica would make it easier for her to get contact with Edwin but then it was the opposite!

“ She can't just come from nowhere and ruin what I want for the past two years,” Misha said, with a flushed face.

Fortunately for Jessica, she got to her office earlier but she wondered if her boss was already around. She quickly dropped her lunchbox and sat down quietly. She took out some documents she took home before dropping her bag on her table.

She was too tired to do anything last night. She slept off, so she needed to complete the work today. She went through the files and when she saw that she had no outstanding work to do apart from the one from last night, she breathed a sigh of relief. That means she will be less busy today.

Jessica got up and walked to her boss's office to know if there is anything she could work on. She knocked twice but there was no answer so she decided to open the door to see if he was inside without closing the door.

She noticed Edwin wasn't around yet. Looking around the office, her eyes went to the picture on the table and she picked it up. It was Edwin's photo and he looked devilishly handsome. She kept smiling to herself while admiring Edwin's picture.

Edwin came into the office to see that his office door was opened. He frowned seeing that. He wondered why it was open. He went in so as to see what was happening. He was taken aback when he saw Jessica admiring his picture.

“ Do you like what you see?“ Edwin asked, walking towards Jessica with a smile on his face.

Jessica was surprised to see him. She tried to drop the picture on the table but her hand moved somewhere else due to her flustered emotions.

Seeing the picture about to drop on the floor, Edwin rushed to get the picture and he and Jessica collided with each other. She was about to land on the floor when Edwin quickly grabbed her. Due to his sudden change, he couldn't hold the picture, rather he let go of it and the picture frame broke into pieces.

But his hands were holding Jessica's waist tightly. Her feminine scent blew through his nose and he felt like taking her that instant! He could feel his rod throbbing. He wondered why Jessica always had that effect on him.

Jessica was taken aback and she continued looking at Edwin's face. She was mesmerized by the face once again and without thinking, she used her hand to touch Edwin's face, tracing it to his lip.

Edwin continued looking at her and let her do what she wanted while holding her still but it wasn't easy because he truly wished he could ravage her that instant!
