Aftermath Of Rejection

Third person POV

Dominic freeman sat in the pack's library drafting up a plan. He knew that since his parents had kicked Catalaya out he had to find some way to provide for her after all she's only 17 years old. Despite what his parents said she is still his little sister and he would do anything for her. It didn't bother him when they told everyone that she wasn't their daughter because he already knew it.

Dominic was four years old when his parents brought catalaya home and even though he already had his sister jasmine he still loved her very much. Growing up he started noticing things like the fact that catalaya had different coloured skin than him and the rest of the family but that changed nothing. When he was thirteen he heard his sister who was nine years old ask his father and mother why she had different colour skin from them, they told her she got her skin colour from a great grandparent whom had the same colour skin as she did and that this person was originally from a different pack. Being the naive kid she was catalaya believed, but dominic knew better. However, he didn't see it fit to tell catalaya that as it would only break her heart but now that the secret was out there was nothing he could do.

With that memory in mind he decided he would care for her until she was able to do it on her own and even after that. After creating his foolproof plan he left the library and ventured to the third floor of the pack house to find his sister. Upon reaching her room he knocked on the door and waited but received no answer. Knocking twice more he tried the door, finding it unlocked he walked inside to see an empty room. Panic quickly floods through his as his sister's belongings were no longer their.

Did they kick her out too?

Did those assholes took her stuff?

Did she-

No of course she wouldn't leave without at least telling me he thought stopping his mind from going there.

He turns to leave when he spots a piece of paper on a pillow on the bed, walking over he picks it up and starts to read the note. Pain and sadness envelopes him as his worst fears were brought to light through the words written. His grief quickly morphed to anger as he stormed out of the room to confront the person who was the cause of it all.

After rejecting Catalaya, Noah carried on as if nothing happened he acted like he hadn't humiliated and rejected her in front of the whole pack in fact he was having the time of his life sleeping with a different girl evey night knowing full well that she would be the one feeling the consequences of his actions and to make matters worse he marked and mated Jasmine.

However, what noah wasn't expecting was that the morning after his all night rave at a party on the lake he would wake up to realise that his ex-mate along with his sister and their four friends had all left the pack and he was the cause of it all.

When noah had woken up that morning he was expecting it to be just like any other normal day. He ventured down into the kitchen after his morning shower to grab breakfast then play some games with the guys. He was in the game room playing his second round of C.O.D when Dominic stormed into the game room and gave him a strong right across his jaw while yelling

"This is all your fault" flashing a piece of paper around.

Surprised, noah shot up from his seat he couldn't fathom why Dominic would hit him they had never had an altercation before and they had a pretty decent relationship in his eyes.

Deciding to find out what could have caused Dominic's actions noah asked

"Why the heck did you punch me and what's my fault?"

Dominic stopped pacing to answer noah with "she's gone"

Confused with his explanation or rather the lack thereof he questioned

"What are you talking about who's gone?"

"Catalaya, I'm talking about my sister she left and she's not returning" he replied handing him the piece of paper in his hands.

Noah looked at the paper to see a note written, it read:

To who it may concern

I'm leaving the pack and I won't be returning ever. Archangel Gabriel i apologize if you see this as an insult that was never my intention. To my five best friends and my awesome brother i will miss you guys so much but I can't keep living a life of misery I know you'll probably be upset with me just up and leaving without a proper goodbye but it was an in the heat of the moment decision i love you guys and I will miss you please take care and tell elder Norris I said thanks for everything.

He couldn't believe what he had just read no one has ever left the pack before it was one of the safest places on earth, where would she go she has no money and no family. Noah had no personal grudges against Catalaya as she had never done anything to him but she was weak and an eyesore so he didn't want her as his mate, that didn't mean he wanted her to leave, what was she thinking. It wasn't like he cared about her or anything like that it's just that it gives the pack a bad reputation people are always trying to get into their pack not leave it so this would be a strange turn of events.

He knew he was the one who had pushed her to this decision but he wasn't about to admit it to anyone especially not her fuming brother standing in front of him. He was about to say something to Dominic when he heard his mother screamed

"Gabriel!!!"

He dropped the paper in his hand casting a spell that took him to the door of his parents room, as he opened the door his father appeared beside his mother on the bed

"Mom what's wrong" Noah asked looking around the room frantically for intruders as his mom mumbled between sobs

"She's. Gone. My. Baby. Is. Gone"

Noah looked at his mother confused "who's gone mom?"

This seemed to be the only types of conversations he'll be having today.

After not hearing an answer to his son's question archangel Gabriel took the paper his wife had in her hands he saw a note written in his daughter's handwriting, he read out loud:

Dear mom and dad

I'm writing this note to let you know that I am leaving the pack by the time you find this I'll be gone. Don't blame yourselves or think you were bad parents and that's why I left in fact you guys were the best parents a girl could ask for but I made a pact and I intend on keeping my promise just as you've always taught me to. Mom I love you so much thank you for teaching me to be strong and dad thank you for always protecting me however I'm disappointed in you for not protecting Catalaya when I asked you to she is like a sister to me and you let noah and everyone else abuse her and treat her like garbage and I won't stand for it anymore I cannot accept that this his how you allowed him to treat my sister and so I'm leaving. I still love you and mom even that idiot noah but i can't stay in the pack anymore

Gabriel couldn't believe what he had just read, his daughter had left the pack his little princess is gone and he has no idea where. He also knows it'll be next to impossible to find her since her mother was the one who taught her to use magic. He knew he should have stopped noah from bullying that girl but by the time he found out the damage was already done.

He remembered the day he and Emerson found her in the woods a beautiful blue eyed baby with skin the colour of rich chocolate she looked so beautiful and innocent he couldn't resist the urge to pick her up. He could tell she was a human but even so he asked his good friend Emerson to look after her, after much convincing he agreed. Gabriel was curious about the child's whereabouts so he started trying to find her origin but it wasn't until she was 12 years old that he found out who she was.

He couldn't believe it, he checked double checked and triple checked to make sure his findings were correct. After finding out who she was and that the pack had been abusing her he wanted to stop it knowing that if that man ever found out he would kill them all but then he thought what if they broke her to the point of giving up where she decides to never look for where she's from plus she already thought the Freeman's were her family after they made up some story about their ancestors to account for the difference in skin colour. But now she knows the truth well at least a part of it which caused her to run away and so did his daughter, he was a failure as a father and a failure as an angel but still the prideful man wouldn't admit it.

Sylvia was so lost in her grief that she hadn't realized that Noah was in the room along with her husband. She couldn't believe her daughter was gone but what irked her the most was that the pack was abusing Catalaya and she had no idea what was going on how could she have been so oblivious and to make matters worst her husband knew about it and did nothing.

Everything around her was a blur and it was only when she felt someone remove Alana's note from her hand that she realized she wasn't alone. She looked up at noah standing by the door with shock written on his face, she felt a flame of rage that burned like an inferno come over her

"You! This is all your fault you I will never forgive you for this" she yelled

"You bullied that sweet girl until you broke her but that wasn't enough for you was it you had to reject and humiliate her in front of everybody forcing her to run away and as a result chasing away your sister as well how could you be so heartless" she shouted as she slapped him across the face.

"And you,"

She turned to her husband who looked like he wanted to dig a hole and burry himself in it, afraid of what his wife will do to him for not stopping their son from abusing an innocent girl, after all his wife wasn't the devil's second in command for over a century for nothing, that woman could command the flames of hell if she needed to.

She slammed him into the wall as she shouted

"HOW COULD YOU LET NOAH ABUSE THAT SWEET LITTLE GIRL SHE WAS SO INNOCENT ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP ANYONE AROUND THE HOUSE SHE EVEN TOOK CARE OF OUR DAUGHTER WHEN SHE WAS HURT AND THIS IS THE THANKS YOU GIVE HER!!!" her voice shaking the entire mansion.

Noah and Gabriel had never seen Sylvia this angry before they had no idea how deep of a bond Sylvia shared with Catalaya not even Sylvia herself understood it completely all she knows is that Catalaya was like a daughter to her she always had the overwhelming feeling to protect her but now she feels as if she had failed and this was the source of her anger.

The dark power emitting from her body was so abundant it was suffocating everyone in the pack house; Gabriel being an archangel could withstand her power but that doesn't mean it wasn't scary. Realizing his wife was about to loose control to the darkness surrounding her Gabriel casted a spell to take her somewhere else before she could blow the pack house to smithereens.

In the mean while Damion was downstairs in library trying to track the car he had bought for his sister on her birthday, this was his only hope of finding her because all trace of her scent had already vanished. However, he was met with disappointment when he found out the GPS had been removed.

He was now neck deep in sadness because he couldn't find his baby sister she's just 17 years old who would protect her she had no one. He started blaming himself for not being a better brother he thought it was his fault that she felt like nobody cared about her, tears clouded his eyes as he thought of his baby sister whom he couldn't protect.

After hours of trying to get his wife to calm down which earned him cuts and bruises all over his body Gabriel had finally succeeded, even though she was still pissed at him at least she wasn't on a war path.

He was about to explain his actions when there was a bang on his office door, Renae ran into the room with tears streaming down her face

"Gabriel i need your help my baby boy is gone Merlin is gone he left a note saying he was leaving the pack" she cried.

Before Gabriel could say another word Adam, Aquarius's father walked in followed by Evangeline harlequin's mother then Rachel Freya's mother. They were all upset and they were all looking to the archangel for answers.

Adam was the first to speak

"Gabriel in my daughter's letter she said the reason she was leaving was because of the way you allowed your son to bully her best friend I was unaware of such actions going on in this pack have you forgotten the reason we created this pack? It was to provide refuge to those who needed it. We all are aware that no one knows where that girl came from and that you were the one who found her so I'm really looking forward to hearing your explanation as to why this girl was being bullied under your watch"

By this everyone's eyes was now once again focused on Gabriel.

"I guess they all decided to leave then" Sylvia muttered

Everyone looked in her direction at the sound of her voice

"So I'm guessing Alana left too?" Renae asked

Sylvia nodded as confirmation.

"Everyone there's something i need to tell you all I was about to tell Selene but seeing as your all here now is a better time than any" Gabriel said bringing back the attention to himself

"As you all know Emerson and I found Catalaya in the woods, her first and middle name was stitched into her blanket but no last name so after asking Emerson to care for her I took it up on myself to find out where she came from I tried for years reaching one dead end after another until four years ago I finally figured it out, Catalaya is the daughter of Lucifer" he told them shocking everyone beyond recovery.

"WHAT!!!" Rachel yelled

"This must be a joke" Adam murmured

"Are you crazy Gabriel don't make stupid jokes at a time like this because there is no way you could allowed your son to bullied Lucifer's daughter!!"

"Im not joking" gabriel said

"But if she's Lucifer's daughter how come she's has no demonic powers" Evangeline asked

"This is where everything else comes in" Gabriel answered

"You see before the paramount war against the Dark sorcerer Lucifer came to earth, it's something he does every couple of centuries but the last time he was here he met a human by the name of Olivia and they fell in love but when the war drew close to home Lucifer couldn't ignore it anymore so he left to fight in the war however Olivia was pregnant.

It turns out the dark sorcerer ended up finding out about Olivia and killed her draining her of her blood to enhance his power and use it to create his own army since her blood was mixed with Lucifer's. He wanted the child as well but the nuns took her and ran, he eventually found and killed them all but he never found the child I'm still unaware as to how she ended up in the woods near our lands but that's all I know." He told them truthfully

"Well that explains what he was going on about" Sylvia murmured under her breath

"What are you talking about?" Adam asked

"16 years ago when Lucifer suddenly lost control of his powers and went on a rampage he came to see me when i had returned from a mission, he was going on and on about how he lost the love of his life and his child even though he didn't know who the child was I thought it was just his power being out of control going to his head but it turns out he was speaking the truth" she revealed glaring daggers at her husband

"So what do we do now?" Renae asked

"Now that cat has left the pack we can't keep her from her father we don't even know where she is what if he finds out what you did Gabriel he will kill us all." Evangeline said shaking in fear

"All we can do is find our children and Catalaya as for Lucifer I guess we'll just have to wait and see" Sylvia says emotionless

After arguing back and forth about the appropriate measures to take everyone decided on a plan to find their children then they all returned home.

They knew it was gonna be a long and bumpy ride with a big possibility of another war that no one was prepared for and none of them wanted to taste the devil's wrath.
