Chapter 52: Chapter 52

After five days, Francic drove Davion, Sofia, and Celestine to the heliport. Sofia couldn't contain her excitement as this was the first time she would see Victoria's baby. She wanted Vicky to meet Celestine too. She knew that her mom couldn't keep the news inside her and had blurted it out to Vicky. She didn't mind. Francis unloaded their luggage and they boarded their helicopter to go to Las Vegas.

"Ready? Are you two comfortable?" asked Davion. Sofia nodded.

"Yeah, what are we waiting for? I really can't wait," she said excitedly. Davion gave her an indulgent smile and ordered his pilot to take off. Sofia had already given Greta and Jane their much-needed break since her mom already had a housekeeper. They took off at last and Celestine gurgled with joy at the fluttery feeling in her tummy. Davion played with her all the way to Las Vegas.

Colton had already gone the night he heard about Trevor's proposal. To do what? No one knew. There had been no news of him and Davion was worried since he was impulsive and hot-headed.

"So? Are you excited, my love?" Asked Davion. Sofia smiled at him but her heart was thumping wildly at the prospect of meeting her family after so many months.

"Yes. I'll always be excited especially when I'm with you," she winked and to her horror, Celestine too winked or attempted to wink!

"God! How did she learn so soon?" Asked a shocked Sofia. Davion laughed.

"I knew since the day I was born. So it's in the genes, you see," he said and Sofia slapped him on his arm.

"No wonder you were a player and I hated you at first sight," pointed out Sofia with a smile on her face. She knew how that hate turned into love soon after marriage.

"I was a player but I was defeated in my own game of love. I fell for my prey and that prey was you," he told her and she rolled her eyes.

"I felt like a prey. You really were an...," she was interrupted by him.

"I know. Insufferable d *ck, right?" He laughed.

"You still remember that nickname I gave you on our first meeting?" Asked Sofia with a laugh. Davion rolled his eyes.

"How can I forget? It attracted me to you more than anything else, " he laughed.

"That horrid nickname attracted you? God! You're impossible!" Said Sofia with a laugh. Even Celestine laughed and giggled, her baby blue eyes fixed upon them.

"I was attracted to you since the day Liam sent me your picture. I think he deliberately played matchmaker to get us together," said Davion suspiciously. Sofia chuckled at the possibility.

"Then we should treat Liam and Lisa for uniting us for life," said Sofia with a satisfied grin. Davion agreed.

"Yeah but we should," said Davion. "I'll call Liam later and fix up something," he added.

"Yeah, even I haven't kept track of Lisa," said Sofia guiltily.

"All that can wait. Let's first deal with Vicky and Colton," said Davion, getting a little serious. Sofia nodded. It was true. While their love story kept on growing stronger with each passing day, Vicky's life was turning into the likes of a Hollywood blockbuster movie. They needed to sort it out and get it on the right track!

"I doubt whether we can help them. They both are headstrong and stubborn. I don't think they have confessed either," said Sofia. Davion sighed. There wasn't anything they could do. Vicky and Colton had to decide and sort out their relationship themselves.

They reached at last and Sofia squealed seeing her dad waiting in his car at the Heliport. "Dad," she said, and Celestine squealed as well. Her dad came forward and hugged both of them with a warm smile on his face.

"So good to see the two of you," he said and then looked at baby Celestine with joy.

"She has grown up!" he exclaimed, taking Celestine from Davion's arms. The pilot unloaded their luggage and took off. Davion loaded their luggage into her dad's car.

"I'll drive, dad. Why don't you relax and catch up with Sofia?" he suggested.

"That's a great idea! Go ahead," said her dad, sitting at the passenger seat while Sofia and Celestine sat at the back. Celestine talked gibberish all the way to Sofia's house and they couldn't help but laugh at her antics.

"I hope you two aren't in a hurry to return. You have to stay for at least a fortnight if not more," said her dad as an order.

"I'm willing to stay. Davion can you too stay?" asked Sofia hopefully.

"I'll try. It all depends upon Colton. Has he met you'll, dad?" asked Davion.

"Yes, but he suddenly stopped coming for the last two days," said her dad.

"Maybe he is busy," said Davion. Sofia frowned. Knowing Vicky, she was sure that they had fought more instead of sorting things out.

They reached home and Davion parked the car. Sofia climbed down and followed her dad and Celestine inside to meet her mom and Vicky. The main door opened and her mom came out with tears of happiness in her eyes.

"So good to see you, sweetie," she said, giving Sofia a hug.

"Ceeeemmuumm," said Celestine and they all turned to her. Sofia's mom hugged her as well and took her from her husband.

"Aren't you a dumpling? She looks so much like my Sofi," gushed her mom.

"But her eyes resemble mine," said Davion with a laugh, as he strode in with their luggage.

"Yes. I have to agree to that. How are you Davion? Good to see that you've completely healed," said her mom. A flash of pain entered Davion's eyes. He hadn't completely healed. He had lost something which was dear to him. He lost the ability to have more children. He had been rendered infertile!

"So how have you been. I'm sure you must be over the moon with two grandchildren," said Davion. Sofia's mom smiled excitedly.

"I am but I'm waiting for more," she said but Davion paled and walked up towards Sofia's room with the luggage, eager to get away from the topic.

"I'll just go and keep these. I need to freshen up as well," he said in a hurt tone.

After he left, her mom turned towards her.

"What happened to him?" she asked with concern. Sofia gave her a nervous smile.

"Nothing at all. Where's Vicky and Asher?" she asked looking around.
