Chapter 68: Chapter 68

"Is Ellen there with you?"

Is Ellen there with you? Is Ellen there with you?'''

Those words kept ringing repeatedly in her head as if her head had suddenly hit a nut.

'Wait what?!'

'What Ellen?'

"Ma'am? You said what?" Cindy was slightly in a daze.

"I asked if Ellen is there with, Daisy Louis' exclusive nurse," the woman's eerie voice stated through the phone. She even sounded a bit upset. Like, 'How am I using such a dumb person as this...?'

Now, Cindy's eyes were wide open she almost forgot where she was, but in the meantime, she quickly walked over to the side of the restaurant.

"Ye... ye... yes... yes!" Cindy answered, visibly shocked to her bones.

"She's from me," the lady began and this time, Cindy's eyes were as wide as soccers.

"I wasn't going to tell you initially but you guys would have to work together, and I don't want you displaying your sick and foolish attitudes. So yes, Ellen is from me."

Cindy huffed. She almost seemed disorientated.

Now she had so many questions to ask. Like she was now so confused and, not to talk about the fact that the Lady called her attitude sick and foolish.

But those aside, Ellen is from the Lady from the Coasters? but Daisy is not dead by now??

How come she has been nursed back to health?

So many questions ran through her mind, that Cindy did not know whether she should ask the Lady or not.

In the end, she decided to hold her peace. Since the Lady would always behave this way, she would simply just look and do only what she is told to do, then receive her fat wages.

Just that, now she felt really upset that Daisy was beginning to do pretty fine and was not in the slums by now just as she so wanted.

"Hmmphh..." Cindy could only breathe out a sign.

"So yeah, I have a whole different plan now and you would work hard this time without any mistakes. If not, you wouldn't like what will come your way. Remember you don't even know who I am."

Now, the Lady from the Coasters had threatened her. But what could she do than to hid to her threats?

"That will be all for now," the Lady's voice came again and Cindy nodded immediately like the Lady could see her do that.

Following that was the beeping sound of the call getting terminated.

Despite the fact that the call had ended, Cindy still had her hand that held her phone against her ear. It was after the call ended that she suddenly got herself that she probably had been weird and suspicious all through the phone call. Especially her reflex reactions when the Lady talked about Ellen.

With a sigh, Cindy shut her eyes and then reopened them.

Then she began to behave like she still was on a call, but this time, she would giggle and act quoertishly.

Her shoulders vibrated a lot of time and she even deliberately laughed out cutely at some points. One would think she was on a call with someone special.

When she was done and satisfied with her acting, believing it would have cleared whatsoever initial form of suspicion, she finally kept back her phone before walking excitedly back to their table.

She even had a bright vibrant smile on her face as she approached them.

Daisy had been staring at her for a while so she chuckled and eyed Cindy playfully seeing the latter's attitude and reactions.

"What is wrong with this one?" Daisy laughed while she had a spoon of rice in her mouth.

Cindy winked and then sat down in her seat.

"Your business? Nope!" She teased.

"Oh wow. Nice then huh...? None of my business."

The trio then laughed following that.

The table was humourous and they ended up gisting about a lot of things.

When Ellen stylishly asked her who she had gone to speak with, Cindy mentioned Dave, the popular pop singer.

"We just started talking of late," Cindy said with a wink.

"Not like I've caught some feelings for him yet but he's quite cool and really handsome."

"You've not caught feelings for him yet but you were all that quoertish, blushing and girly while on the phone with him?? Are you sure of yourself at all?" Daisy laughed while playfully mocking her friend.

"Doubt you know what you're saying."

"Anyways, he is a friend to Edward and a really good person. Rooting for you two," Daisy raised up her right fist in support and they all laughed.

"Stop it! It's not that deep," Cindy blushed.

"Really? Really?" Daisy pointed at her mockingly. "You're all pink right now and it's not that deep? What would happen then when it gets deep?"

Ellen laughed.

"She would go red."

The three ladies were seemingly having fun while they enjoyed their meal.

"I actually would be leaving soon. Director Carlson wants me to come back to check somethings regarding the commercial I just did," Cindy suddenly announced and the other two looked at her.

"That means we won't be going to see Rose?" Daisy asked immediately disappointed and Cindy sighed.

"I'm so sorry but let's arrange another meeting in the evening," she said.

"It's okay," Daisy replied.

"Even you, your time is up. You've stayed too long out here," Ellen said with a smirk and yeah, she earned a playful glare from Daisy, causing her to laugh.

"I'm actually serious," Ellen said amidst a laugh. "I was actually given time in which you'd have to get back."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"Oh..."

Anyways, Cindy wanting to go back to the set was all a lie. She just has been finding a way to get away ever since she found out the truth about Ellen.

She does not like the girl one bit, but there's literally nothing she can do about it. What's more, they don't like each other.

Each time Daisy looked down to take her food, drink or anything, Cindy would eye Ellen hatefully while the latter would give her a mocking smirk.

Unfortunately, they would be working together from now on.

Right now, all Cindy wanted was to be away from these two ladies she detested.

Fortunately, Ellen won't do anything against her while she is away from Daisy. After all, they would be working together and the Lady had said there's a new plan now.

Whatever it is.

But then, Cindy began to have some thoughts.

'Can I work hard to win the favour of this Lady? That way, I'll be able to kill whoever I don't want later. Daisy, would probably be dead by then or almost so Ellen? Can I get to kill her?'

Suddenly, she huffed.

'I think I'm going crazy myself...'
