Chapter 39: Chapter 39

Even still, Daisy could not help but still feel upset.

Isn't she also a victim? But even still, everyone is criticising her for cheating on her boyfriend even on her anniversary night, without hearing her own side of the story.

"Why are you calling me?" Daisy was obviously not planning to cool down hence she asked with gritted teeth.

Wesley did not know what to say.

'Why was he calling her?'

Yeah, he was calling her cause he wanted to know if she's fine and all. Or... no, he pretty much knows she's not fine which kind of got him worried.

But, will he admit that? No

Will he tell her that? No!

Daisy was now feeling extremely upset

"Don't call me ever again?" She warned then without waiting to hear anymore thing from him, she hung up directly.

Wesley was stunned. He honestly was not expecting that response or reaction from her.

Like how is he in the wrong now? How is any of these his fault?

The whole ordeal felt like a slap on his face.

"And who does she think she is?" He scoffed.

Deciding not to call her again or have anything to do with her matter, Wesley kept his phone then left for work.

Daisy on the other end had puzzle written all over her face when she found out this Wesley had even called her yesterday.

"Why is he calling me? Why is he suddenly calling me?" She scoffed.

"To mock me?"

'What's his plan?'

But it pretty seemed whatever the evil lady was doing to Daisy was slowly begining to affect her sense of reasoning cause why did it not occur to her that she might need Wesley's help finding out the people who set her up?

Feeling pissed, she went directly and blocked his number.

Just then, her younger sister, Violet barged into the room with a wild energy that caught Daisy off guard. She could immediately tell that something had happened looking at her sister and that moment, it got her slightly anxious.

No she shouldn't be.

Violet's eyes were bright, and she wore a very wide grin as she ran up to Daisy.

"Daisy, oh my God Daisy," Violet cried as she flung her arms around her sister immediately she got to her.

Daisy was a bit shocked but she waited for her sister to break the news.

"Daisy, have you checked your phone today? Have you seen the news?" Violet asked, her voice barely containing her excitement.

Daisy shook her head, raising an eyebrow in confusion.

"Check Ed's social! He's posted something," Violet exclaimed.

Hearing that alone, Daisy felt something explode in her head.

'Wait, what? Ed? Edwards socials?'

Daisy quickly grabbed her phone, her fingers tapping the screen with urgency as she scrolled through social media this his profile. Her eyes widened as she saw a post from Edward very early in the morning which already got so many likes, comments and shares, her heart racing as she read through it.

"Oh my God," she muttered as tears gathered in her eyes.

She held her chest as she muttered again, "oh my God."

"He believes me after all. He believes me! Edward trusts me! My boyfriend."

"Edward believes me," this time, tears gushed out of her eyes while Violet tried so hard to console her sister.

Daisy's heart felt like it was caged in her chest, pounding with a new energy that was both exhilarating and terrifying all at once. She couldn't believe it, and yet, she felt like she had been hoping for this moment for what felt like an eternity that it was beginning to feel hopeful.

And as she remained on her bed, with her sister hugging her and her tears flowing just by the news, she felt like a part of the weight on her shoulders had been lifted.

Andrew's browsed through the net with a small smile on his face. Just as planned, things were starting to fall into place. Now he could head on.

He has no fear pursuing this enemies.

Just then, Edward's phone buzzed with an incoming call from a private number. He hesitated before answering, but curiosity got the better of him.

"Hello?" Edward answered hesitantly.

A private number? It definitely had to be from somewhere or something important, after all, he's been ignoring a few calls since made that post.

"You did well," a voice on the other end said. "But don't bother with any investigation. You'll definitely be watched by some sort of enemies from now on or whoever is probably against your girlfriend. Also, for now, we won't be meeting."

Edward's mind was in a bit of confusion as he tried to make sense of the cryptic message.

"Enemies"?

"Yes."

Edward breathed out a sigh with some many things on his mind. This stranger he had met yesterday that refused to even mention his name seems to be so weird and strange and Edward could not help wondering what the reason for this strange guys' involvement in his girlfriend's case is.

Anyways, he somehow felt the burden on his shoulders lifted, probably cause he finally took action in helping his girlfriend.

He's been a fool and a coward all the while afterwards.

As for Andrew, his aim is to find out whoever is manipulating his girlfriend Sarah, and he has the strong feeling it had to do with the people in Daisy's circle. It takes only such type of evil person who sets people up to manipulate people. Or probably the people around him or her.

He would fish out whoever this person is and put an end to them.

He would stop at nothing until he pulled his girl out of their clutches. Yes, he strongly believed Sarah was in bondage. She won't just suddenly turn to what he saw the day before. The Sarah he knows was a simple innocent girl who can't even hurt a fly. She loves his so much that she's always the one scared of loosing him.

So he did care what it'll take him, but he'll get his girl back.
