Chapter 82: Chapter 82

Ava's POV

The few days I spent in the blood moon's pack house were torturous and worst than when I first arrived. Luna and Lucas were bullied by the children except for David who was still friendly to them. I on the other hand was looked at with scorn and treated with disrespect. If only I was not in this condition Skye placed me in, they'd have a taste of my fist just as before.

But times were changing, I don't even know if it was because of the pregnancy I didn't have any zeal to react to any insubordination thrown at me. Besides, I was becoming weaker with pains all over my stomach. Robin ensured I rested and ate well but when he wasn't around, I was subjected to meals even a pauper would reject but I had no right to complain. This was no longer my home.

Complain to who exactly? There was no one willing to listen to me even Skye. Only Robin paid attention to me and the members of my pack. Skye was either in his study or in his room with Natasha. It always hurt me whenever I saw them together. How could he forgive her for her attempted murder on my life and not forgive me for being the daughter of a murderer just like him?

I grunted as I felt another jab of pain in my stomach. The babies were kicking really hard and they had no idea what pain their mother was going through. I lay on the bed in one of the rooms on the down floor, far away from the room I once shared with Skye. My presence annoys him and I could see the hatred he had in his eyes each time he looked at me. Those vicious hazelnut eyes were filled with contempt.

Camila walked into the room. I shared it with the kids while she shared a room with Anna. Anna was right behind her. "Are you feeling any better?" Camila asked as she pressed some pills into my hand and took a glass of water from Anna. I shook my head and they both made me take the pills and I closed my eyes and rested.

A few minutes later, I opened my eyes to find them still beside me. "Better?" Anna asked and I nodded and sighed. "You really need rest," Camila said.

I nodded. "I know," I said as I got up to a sitting position. "I've been meaning to ask Anna. Tell me, is Natasha right about my mother?" I asked her.

"I do not know about that but I said what I saw but, I've been thinking too." She said.

"About?" I asked her.

"What if Natasha made me see what I saw? What if she manipulated my vision." She said in deep thought.

"How's that possible?" I asked her.

"Black magic." She said staring at me.

Anna's POV

When I saw Ava's vision weeks back, I saw nothing but trials and tribulations that were unclear and now they were manifesting. After holding Natasha's hands, I had a belief I could have been made to see what I saw that day and I believed it was black magic.

"Black magic?" Ava and Camila asked me at once and I nodded.

"I've heard so much about black magic. It is an art performed by dark witches. A real Voodoo that manipulates anything." I said.

"Oh my God." Ava gasped. "How we prove this?" She asked me.

I shrugged. "I dunno yet but I've been trying to work on it. I've tried going into town at my own risk to see if I could find the woman I saw in my vision of hers but I couldn't." I explained.

"At any cost Anna," Ava said holding my hand. "You have to help me prove my mother's innocence." She said with pleading eyes and I nodded. I knew I was hiding something from her. Hiding the vision I saw of her babies. I just can't bring myself to tell her.

Ava's POV

I bumped into him as soon as I walked out from the side stairs. "Watch your steps." He said gruffly.

"I did," I replied to him. I was done cowering in his shadows just because I was scared of his reactions.

He stared at me and I could see hate consuming in his eyes and he turned to walk away. "Do you think it's fair?" I asked him stopping him in his tracks.

"And what do you mean by that?" He retorted.

"Do you think it's fair the way you treat me? You now frolic around Natasha and even show it right in my face." I said.

He walked closer to me. "You should be glad I placed a roof over your head. Whatever goes on in this house or my life is none of your business." He said and his mouth and body reeked of alcohol.

"The alcohol won't take the pains away neither would the memories fade," I said to him.

"It will. Soon I'd forget you just as if it was yesterday. You don't know how much I detest you now, Ava." He said to me.

"Detest me all you want Skye but I know you still love me and I still carry your seed," I said.

"May that love be damned, Ava? It's damned already and concerning my baby, I'm taking him once he's born." He said, revealing his plan to me. He wanted to take my baby away from me.

I stared at him in horror. "You can't do that. He's equally my baby." I said to him.

"We'll see about that." He said and walked away with the same hatred in his eyes. That was when I knew I had to do something.

Fernandez POV

"So, she now lives in the pack house?" I asked Natasha again and she nodded. I smiled. "And Skye?" I asked.

"Hating her each day." She said with a smile.

"The tonic must really be working," I said to her.

"Of course, it has to. Just a teaspoon every day in his tea and he flares up whenever he sees her. Soon she'd be on her knees begging you to marry her. Your powers are indeed great Fernandez." She said and I chuckled.

Of course, they were. My newfound powers were very manipulative. It also manipulated the vision Anna saw. Nothing of such in that vision was real but she was fooled thanks to the powers. The plan to ruin the lovebirds was becoming more easier. Just then the sudden urge to feed fell upon me and I turned to Natasha with flaming red eyes. "Get me one of them," I said and she nodded and hurriedly left with one of my minions.
