Chapter 66: Chapter 66

Skye's POV

I opened my eyes slowly as the sun rays filtered through the window and rested on my face. I had a dream last night about Ava. She was right here. I heard her voice. I heard her voice, it repeated in my head as I quickly got up to a sitting position but she was not there.

I wasn't probably wrong. I felt her close to me last night. I felt her presence. So where was she? I looked around but I couldn't see her anywhere around the room. I was about to leave the bed when Walter walked in. "No no alpha, you need rest." He said coming close to me. I had a migraine and my head kept pounding but I declined. "I'm fine Walter. Where's Robin?" I asked him.

"He's downstairs but you really need to rest alpha. Your body needs it." He said but I still declined. "And David, how's he?" I asked.

"Thankfully, he'd be out of the coma soon." He assured me and I breathed a sigh of relief and got off the bed.

"Listen to me alpha." He said after me but I ignored him and walked out of the room and down the stairs.

There Robin was taking charge and barking orders at the pack members.

"You shouldn't be out of bed yet." He said when he took notice of me.

"I'm fine Robin. I do not need to be bedridden for a minor headache." I said to him.

"It didn't seem minor yesterday. You were burning up. If not for the doctor and the care of.." He began but stopped. I narrowed my eyes at him. "The care of who?" I asked him.

"The care of the pack, you won't be out of bed by now." He said in hesitation. I stared at him. Was there something else he wasn't telling me?

"Did Ava by chance come here?" I asked him and he shook his head.

"The queen does not know of your condition." He said indignantly. I looked away and nodded. She didn't care. But I heard her voice. I felt her presence or was I hallucinating?

I exhaled. After she dumped me and I went to the bridge to yell out my frustration, I had driven to a nearby pub and bought almost all the available alcoholic drinks there and drank myself to a stupor on the bridge and lay there as the snow fell lightly. I had curled myself up there in the snow without a care about myself. I had been dumped. It kept ringing in my head.

Did I deserve it? I asked myself. Was I paying for what I did to Natasha and the other women? "Aishh." I groaned.

Ava's POV

I returned back to crescent woods before anyone woke up in the blood moon's house. I had slipped out of Skye's arms this morning without his knowledge. I saw Robin before I left and I made sure he told anyone who saw me with the inclusion of Skye that I did not step my feet in the blood moon's house last night.

He had asked why but I refused to tell him. I made him understand that Skye was the right person to tell him why and he had accepted with reluctance. The door opened and I turned from the vanity mirror and saw Camila coming in.

"You sent for me." She said.

I nodded. "I want you to return back to the blood moon's house," I said.

"What?" She asked wide eyed.

"It's an order," I said to her.

"But why?" She asked.

I walked a few feet closer to her. "Skye is ill. I'll need information about his health and there's no one there who's going to do that well for me except you." I said to her.

"I thought you do not love him." She said and stared at me. I looked away and swallowed. Did this have to do with love? I asked myself.

"We've been each other's companion for six months. I'm not that heartless not to care about his health." I said.

"Then why don't you just return?" She questioned.

"I did not summon you here to question me. You'd do as I've said." I said to her.

"But.."

"No buts Camila. It's not a request, it's an order." I said, using the authoritative alpha tone on her and she nodded. "Yes alpha." She said and turned to leave.

"Camila," I called after her and she stopped. "I'm sorry if I sounded too hard on you," I said and she smiled.

"I understand you sister." She said finally calling me a sister as she did before.

I smiled. "Do not inform Skye I was at his house last night," I said with a plea in my eyes. She nodded and did an imaginary zip on her lips and we both chuckled as she walked out the door.

I stared back at the vanity mirror. Soon it would be noticeable that I was pregnant. I sighed as I caressed my stomach. "Your mother is really confused right now," I said to the little ones growing in my stomach. Was it a good idea to keep the knowledge of their existence from their father? I was tortured by this thought since the moment I was told I was pregnant.

The pack meeting was done and Mary called me aside. "Have you noticed yet?" She asked me.

"Noticed what?" I asked puzzled by her question.

She smiled. "What a naive yet brave child. Haven't you noticed you're pregnant?" She said. I gave a small smile and looked away. "It's nothing to be ashamed of dear. Have you told Phil?" She asked.

I shook my head. I wasn't ready to tell uncle. He'd probably ship me off after reminding me of another crescent tradition. "The blood moons and the crescents are now on a neutral level so tell me alpha, why you're back in crescent woods?" She asked.

Why did everyone keep asking me such questions? I am the alpha and this is my pack. I am obviously free to be here. So why the same question over and over again?

"My people need me," I said to her.

"You have another responsibility too now dear. You are the Luna of the blood moons, you have a duty of responsibility to them too." She said.

"Should I abandon my people and go live with the blood moons?" I asked her.

She shook her head. "No my dear. I'm not saying that" she said and looked at me sweetly. "I believe you'd know what to do very soon." She said and walked away. I exhaled. I keep getting confused over and over again.

Fernandez's POV

The new energy inside of me that flowed through my veins was powerful and tricky. Sometimes I hear a voice inside of me speaking to me. With this new power, it kept telling me I could take over as the alpha of the crescent pack and that I didn't deny.

I was the only one fit to be the alpha. Ava has grown weak after her stay with the blood moons. She wasn't the Ava I knew and trained with. It would be easy to overthrow her since she had no demon qualities in her anymore. Foolish of her to let go of her demon qualities.

I walked through the forest and I heard movements behind me. I stopped and turned around but there was no one there. I walked again and I heard movements once more. Making use of my new found powers, I sent a blast of wind toward the direction the movement came from and birds tweeted as they flew into the air.

"What was that for?" I heard a voice coming from one of the trees. "Will you come out now or do I need to make you?" I asked. Just then a woman stepped out from behind the trees and she looked awfully familiar. "Natasha?" I called out in amazement.

"Surprised to see me?" She asked with a curved smile.
