“I came to know from my Beta that he was from your pack and was here for Liara Haysbert’s protection. Not just that, but he was also a family. But…. But he did wrong by killing someone.”
“I don’t know what are the rules and regulations at the time, of dad, but from now onwards that anyone won’t be allowed in my pack for any reason from other packs except the students. And if you’re worried about Liara Haysbert’s safety, then don’t worry because I will personally make sure that she will be treated as a queen here.”
Calvin narrowed his eyes, hearing this, and Brandon realized where this conversation was going ahead.
“I want to take Jarlen’s body with me,” Brandon said, ignoring the fact that an Alpha just showed his interest in his daughter.
“Yeah! Yeah!” Alpha Kane nodded his head and mind linked his Beta to get Jarlen’s body. “Mr. Haysbert, I’m glad that you’re not mad at me.” He said, looking at Brandon while Calvin was fuming in anger and releasing his Alpha aura while Brandon was calm as water.
“How can I? I have already seen everything with my own eyes. And the fact that you assure my daughter’s safety, then I believe that you will keep your word.” Brandon said.
“Obviously!! In fact, definitely!!” Alpha Kane assured.
“Hmm. I will see into this matter after she completes her studies and also the fact whether you are really a man of your own words or not.” Brandon said on which Calvin looked at him in confusion, wondering what the hell his father was speaking, but he zipped his mouth in front of them. He would talk about this topic later.

“Here!! Your mom gave these things to you.” Brandon said, giving a bag to Liara. A small smile appeared on her face when she saw it had all her favorite food in it. But then it vanished when the incident of last night appeared in her mind.
“Does she know why did you come here?”
“Not yet.” He replied and wiped the tears from her eyes. “Don’t worry about what happened with Jarlen last night, and focus on your studies and your aim, okay?”
“Only if I would have become a healer by now, then this won’t have happened, dad.” She whispered. “That boy, Luca, was alive when brought to the hospital but…. But…”
“It’s okay. It’s okay. It was Jarlen’s mistake, so don’t blame yourself.” Brandon said, wiping her tears which rolled out of her eyes again.
“But he said that he didn’t….”
“Calvin and I watched the whole CCTV footage, and Jarlen was lying,” Brandon said, cutting her between. “Tell me about yourself. Are you okay here?” he asked, changing the topic.
“In case you’re not, then congratulation. Dad has appointed a new guard for you, and I know you won’t be able to guess who he is. So, his name is Alpha Kane.” Calvin said in a sarcastic tone.
“Alpha Kane? I don’t get it. Why will he be my new guard?” Liara asked in confusion.
“Ah. About that. Maybe dad will talk about it after you complete your studies.” Calvin said, rolling his eyes. Liara wasn’t stupid not to understand what her brother meant. She looked at her father with wide eyes.
“Dadddd…”
“Just like your brother mentioned, I will talk about it after your studies, okay?” Brandon said, “And I promise, I will TALK, not force my decision on you.”
“Okay,” Liara mumbled. She didn’t know how to react to this, but then, she had two years with have, right?
‘We can also TALK about our mate. Well, I know you can’t, so I will be the one who will talk.” Destiny said in Liara’s mind.

“I don’t like that, Kane. Not at all. I don’t understand that. How can you think of making him as a son-in-law?” Calvin growled in anger. “That bastard killed Jarlen, who was like your son, and you are sitting calmly as blamed everything on Jarlen. Are you serious, dad? Do you think that Uncle Bruce can teach his son to kill some innocent boy even in anger?” Calvin asked angrily.
“You’re my son still; you don’t know how to control your temper. If anyone can easily anger you, it is because you’re off balance.” Brandon said.

On the other side, Theodore was trying his best not to get angry at the news of Liara and Kane’s alliance.

“Move in silence and never let them know your next move. Your mother didn’t come to know that I was the one who was killing her brothers for approx one and a half years. Even though we used to share the same room.” Brandon said.

On the other side, Inigo spoke to his other half, ‘There is nothing to get angry about for the things that will never happen. We will personally kill that Kane during the war when Elder Ozul attacks this pack. So, without him, there will be no marriage.’

“The only mistake that Jarlen made was that he couldn’t control his anger. In the second video, I observed how Kane said something to him, and he bounced at Kane to attack him. Anger is your biggest enemy, son. And what he did to Jarlen, I swear, I will kill him in such a way, or no one would come to know how and what happened to him.” Brandon said.
“What will you do?” Calvin asked.
“Colton will be in this plan. Not you. I mean, no offense, but you have a toddler to handle who needs her dad beside her.” Brandon said politely, denying what he was thinking, but deep down, something else was going on in his mind. When he touched Liara’s cheek to wipe her tear, he didn’t miss her noticing her warm skin.
‘Was Lee in heat? If yes, then why was she hiding about her mate from everyone?’ He wondered.
“I don’t understand why Kane was showing interest in Lee. She is not even pretty or some model.” Calvin muttered when he saw Brandon’s arched eyebrow. “I’m just stating a fact from a man's point of view, dad. You also didn’t fall in love with mom at love at first sight. You fall for her what she is inside. I bet Kane has no idea what Lee is from the inside. So, why is he showing interest in my sister?”

Liara was having a hard time controlling her pain even after taking a lot of tablets.
“Aaaaaaaaa,” She cried in pain, grabbing the bedsheet and her hand releasing green fire.

“Do you think he is interested in Lee because she is the cousin of werewolf King?”
