Chapter 269: Chapter 269

“A little. With everything going around, bringing him into the world is making me nervous. But I can’t stop living and enjoying my life by worrying about the future.” Liara responded.

“There is no greatest warrior than a mother protecting her child,” Helios spoke, on which Liara looked at him suspiciously. She felt that he meant to say something with that line. “I’m sure that you know why evil is behind you,” he said to which Liara nodded her head.

“I know Selene never asked your decision before choosing you, but that was in your fate from the moment you were born,” Helios said. Liara calmly heard him. Not that she was mad at Selene’s decision because she was also the one who chose Theodore for her.

“Today, Selene stepped down from her position.” Liara’s eyes widened at that news. It wasn’t something that should be known by everyone. “That eventually makes you the….”

“Moon Goddess?”

“Yes!!” Helios confirmed her doubt. “Selene was thinking of giving you some more time, but it wasn’t in her hand either. I had asked Astraeus, God of stars, my brother-in-law, to mess with the stars so that the people who could read them couldn’t find the change in the plan. I’m sure that he would have already shifted the date to after three months from today.”

Liara tried to wrap up everything in her mind because this was too much and not expected at all.

“But I don’t know how to become a Goddess or anything about it?” Liara said, trying not to freak out.

“Luna will guide you for that.” With that, Liara’s eyes landed on Luna, Selene’s wolf, who was playing between the cloud. She was bigger than Lycan. Her eyes were in the shade of beautiful blue color, and there was a sign of the waning crescent Moon on her head, making her look royal. She smiled, looking at her. She was the strongest wolf among all but was playing with the cloud like a child.

Liara went near her, and immediately Luna stopped playing and looked at her.

“Hey!!” Liara waved her hand toward her.

‘Hello, Liara!!’ Luna mind linked her.

“She can mind link you and share all the things that you might need. Remember, she can just show you the path. You and destiny will be the ones who will walk on it.” Helios spoke, on which Liara nodded her head again.

“Selene left without her wolf?”

“She is not on vacation, Liara.” He responded with a chuckle.

“When will be she back?” Liara asked like a curious cat.

“Not sure. Maybe when she wants to. Maybe never.” Liara didn’t question him much, knowing that she wasn’t going to give straight answers to the things that had nothing to do with her.

All of a sudden, she heard Theodore’s voice in her mind.

‘Lia, leave away from here immediately. Go near your parents or somewhere safe.’

“I have to leave.” She said to Helios, who nodded his head. “May I?”

“You’re a Goddess to whom you’re asking to?” He asked with a smile. Liara didn’t know how this thing worked, but she wanted to reach back to her body with Destiny, and the moment she did, she felt her back was on fire.

A pain that wasn’t her.

‘Uncle Ambrose, what’s wrong?’ She mind-linked him, leaving the bed quickly to find where her mate was. And in the next second, Ambrose filled her with every piece of information.

‘Luna, Can you help?’ She asked next because, as per Ambrose. Lestat was a tough competitor.

‘Your body is not ready to handle all my powers yet. You might fall into a coma for a day.’ Luna warned.

‘Fine with me!!’ Liara agreed and then talked with Destiny. ‘Girl, keep our pup save at any cost.’

‘You don’t have to tell me that. Let Luna guide you. I will keep her safe.’

‘Her?’

‘She can be a girl, can’t she?’

Liara didn’t have time to discuss that topic and ran toward to save her mate.

Liara opened her eyes and groaned softly. She looked around to see where she was. Her eyes widened when she found herself in a hospital.

What happened to her?

Was her pup fine?

She turned her head in the other direction in search of Theodore so that he could answer her question, and the moment; their eyes met, she was scared to see him furious.

“Odo…”

“How could you sleep so long?” He growled at her, making her eyes flinch in fear. “I forgot the counting of how many times I kissed you to wake you up because that fucker said that only a true love kiss can bring my sleeping beauty from her sleep.” He shouted.

Liara kept looking at his angry face for a while before she started smiling ear to ear because she sensed the fear behind his anger.

But the question was how long she was out.
