‘Two days!! I was out for two days.’ Liara kept thinking about it and looked at Theodore, who looked worried sick.
“Do you know how it feels like when you are waiting for someone to wake up in the morning, and she doesn’t?” Theodore asked, and Liara could only imagine how worried he would be. “If not for your heartbeat, breathe, and mate bond, anyone would have thought that you were….”
“Sorry,” Liara mumbled. She hadn’t seen this in the werewolf world, but she had heard that sometimes in the human world, people sleep normally with happy faces, but unfortunately, they never wake up the very next day.
“What sorry, Lia? Do you know I almost killed that stupid and good-for-nothing doctor when they couldn’t find out what was wrong with you? Why the hell are they even the doctors?”
Liara pouted and showed her puppy eyes so that he would stop scolding her.
“Maybe that’s why… that’s why that fucker fooled me by saying that only a true love kiss can wake you up. I can’t believe that I fell for me.” Theodore said in disbelief, but could anyone blame him?
He was so desperate and was ready to do anything to bring Liara out of her deep sleep. That he believed Alaric and kept kissing Liara, for god knew how many times.
Now, Theodore could understand why Alaric fooled him. It was better than Theodore walking on the rampage, killing everyone in anger.
“Hey!! Please calm down.” She requested, holding his hand. ‘You told me that I will be in a coma just for one day.’ She mind-linked Luna.
‘That was for using my power. You used a lot of your power. So, the additional one day was because your body is weak and also because Destiny had kept her strength safe to protect the pup.’
‘Ooo’
‘Healing someone is your power, Liara. It has nothing to do with Destiny’s presence. Selene gave this blessing to you as a human as you have asked Destiny to keep your pup safe, which as a mother, should be your first priority. Make sure to use your power only when required. Rest, you yourself are intelligent.’
“Seriously? Ignoring me and talking to Destiny?” Theodore asked. He felt like he was nagging her and irritating her, but in the past two days, he had gone nuts without her, and he wouldn’t be surprised if he would go berserk without her. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t be getting jealous of you talking to her, but not me.” He muttered.
“Hey… it’s okay!” Liara said with a smile. “I understand why you are reacting like this. So, it’s fine. I just came to know that I used my powers more than I should have. I mean, normally, my body would have handled it, but just because Destiny’s main focus was our pup, so…” A small smile appeared on her face talking about their pup.
She grabbed his hand and placed it on her stomach and sensed her moving like a pro now.
“She is so fast, isn’t she?”
“She? It’s he, not she. I don’t want a daughter.” Theodore said, sensing Griffin moving inside her. Liara’s eyes widened when she heard that. “I... I didn’t mean that in a wrong way.” He quickly added. “I just don’t want to go through the situation which your father felt when your older sister left him for her mate; then you left him for me. So, you know….”
