Chapter 232: Chapter 232
“Alaric, reach the venue with Moana.” He ordered to have some time with his mate. To admire her beauty.
“But I’m here for Liara’s safety,” Moana spoke. She didn’t want to go anywhere with the vampire who was grinning like a fool for no reason.
“I’m here to protect her. And I will let you know if she will have to go to the washroom.” Theodore said sternly because that was the only place where Liara could need a female guard's help. The thought that she had to go with a vampire was scaring her even though she was keeping a straight face.
‘You can trust Alaric, Moana. He is not an enemy.’ Liara assured her.
“I thought she was a she-wolf, but she is a frightened kitten.” Alaric teased to ease her mood.
“Call me Kitten again, and I will….” Moana showed her long nails and her claw. “... leave a scratch on your handsome face.”
“You two, OUT,” Theodore growled, getting impatient. Both Alaric and Moana left from there in the next couple of seconds.
*
“So, you think I’m handsome?” Alaric asked, reaching his head near Moana’s ear, on which she glared at him.
“Stay away! I know how to break bones.” She threatened him with a growl. She felt he was trying to take advantage of the situation when they were in an elevator without the presence of a third person.
Immediately Alaric placed his hand on her mouth, slamming her against the elevator, shocking Moana because she wasn’t expecting this from him, not after Liara’s words.
She tried to knee him, but he knocked her leg aside, pressing her thighs against hers, pinning her leg to the elevator. The change in her heartbeat told Alaric that she was scared, scared that he would misbehave with her or worst.
“You’re not allowed to growl or show your long animalistic nails in public,” Alaric said in a whisper, reaching near her ear again. “Do you understand?” He asked, looking into her grey eyes. Moana nodded her head, and Alaric let her go.
“You could have said that without pressing me against the elevator as well.” She said, trying not to growl.
“Well, I wanted to close to you. So, the moment I got that chance. I grabbed it.” Alaric said with a wink. Moana’s jaw tightened, and she stormed her bellies at his shoes.
“Ouch…!!” Alaric cried in pain while Moana smiled in pleasure.
*
“You didn’t even tell me how I look?” Liara complained. Theodore wanted to blame her for this because only if she wouldn’t have brought Moana with her, then the first thing that would have done was praise her beauty instead of growling at her. But then, he didn’t want to fight with her.
“You look Red,” Theodore said, running his finger at her neck. Liara smiled at his weird compliment and ran her hand on his black color three-piece suit with a red collar and lapel of coat matching his red tie.
She could bet that he was feeling itchy around his neck because of the tie, and Alaric would have helped him with his clothes.
“And I’m having a hard time removing my eyes from you. I wish we could skip this anniversary party.” She said in a seductive tone.
“We can’t.”
“I know,” Liara mumbled in a sad tone because she wanted Theodore badly. But she knew that this party was also important. Theodore curled his index finger under her chin and made her look at him as her eyes were on the suit he was wearing.
“It’s not that this party is important for me, but not as important as you. But there is a surprise for you at the party. So, it is important for us to attend the party.”
“Surprise? I like a surprise.” Liara smiled widely and wondered what would be the surprise. He was giving her surprise after surprise, and she wasn’t able to give him one surprise till now. She had to propose to him by going down on her knee, and she hadn’t done this until now.
‘Slow as a sloth.’ Destiny scoffed in her mind.
“I bet you will love this surprise,” Theodore said, caressing her neck. After this party, he was planning to drink her blood, but for now, he had to control it. He had controlled his thrust. Liara couldn’t help but be more excited about the surprise now.
‘Is he planning to propose for marriage in the human world?’ She wondered. But this was never on her wishlist if Theodore knew her in the best way. Throughout the ride, she kept thinking this and that but couldn’t find any suitable guesses.
‘Am I pregnant? Maybe Theodore wanted to surprise me with this news.’ But then she slapped herself mentally. This news was something that she would come to know first. The moment she stepped out of the car at the venue, her nose hit with familiar scents, and her body froze.
“Shall we?” Theodore asked her so that they could start walking, holding his hand. Tears dwelled in her eyes because of happiness. She looked up toward Theodore, who was watching her every move and reaction silently.
“Thank you.” She spoke hoarsely, looking into his eyes.
“Hmm!!”
“I love this surprise.” She said and looked at the camera.
“I know.” He muttered and kissed her hair. He didn’t know how to pose in front of the media, so he hardly stayed for a minute before walking inside.
“And please welcome the Chairman of LIA Jewelers Ltd, Theodore Wayne, with his wife, Doctor Liara Wayne.” They heard before everyone’s attention shifted toward them. Theodore didn’t smile or give an expression, while Liara gave a small smile looking around until her eyes landed on the two people.
‘Mom, Dad.’
