“I don’t get it. Why are you taking us to accompany you to the party to which we aren’t invited? Not that I’m complaining about that part, but still, I don’t even know anything about this company or the other.” Brandon said when Artemis asked him and Sophia to attend the first-anniversary party of LIA Jewelers Ltd.

“Because the whole family is invited there, Dad?” Artemis reasoned out.

“Then take your parents. Why are you..

“Does that mean you don’t treat me your son?” Artemis questioned, cutting him in between. He knew how and which string he had to pull to get his work done. “I thought we are more than father-in-law and son-in-law; we are father and son.”

“Don’t use those cheesy lines, Arti. We both know the truth of our relationship.” Brandon said, narrowing his eyes. “Fine!! We will be joining you both.”

“Perfect. There is an exhibition of all the jewelry as well. So, don’t forget to carry a card or cheque. You can get one for mom as well or all your princess.”

Brandon had to bite his inner cheek from reacting to that words. “I mean, your little princess, Rose, and Ara.”

“Hmm!!” Brandon nodded and planned to buy jewelry for all the females in the house. It had been a while since he had bought something for anyone on his own. Otherwise, Sophia used to handle this department. Whether they were with him or not. He also planned to get jewelry for the future brides of Colton and Calvin. That was a different thing that he had no idea whether they would ever find their women or not. If there would be only one daughter-in-law in the home or two? “Their collections should be top-notch.”

“I personally loved it. You can check the same at the party.”

When Brandon reached the party with Sophia, Artemis, and Caroline, he couldn’t help but be amazed by the designs and collection of jewelry that were kept in the middle of the hall with very tight security. No one was allowed to go near it, and neither do they were allowed to take pictures or make any videos of it.

A stage was prepared at the end of the hall where models were going to do a ramp walk wearing all the exclusive jewelry designs of the company.

“Do you like anything?” Brandon asked softly. He had already decided on the eight jewelry sets for everyone, but he didn’t mind purchasing a couple more if Sophia liked anything else from the collections.

“No. Thank you. I’m sure that you are going spend a lot of MY money today, so I need to control the other expenses.” Sophia said, to which Brandon shook his head.

“Of course!! YOUR money.” He chuckled.

“There are not a lot of collections in the men's category,” Sophia complained because she had to buy for all the men in the family.

“Ah. Now, who is planning to spend money, huh?” Brandon teased her.

“I don’t want my boys to feel left out,” Sophia replied and realized that the men’s collections were at all corners of the hall while the female’s collections were in the middle. She finally planned to buy Cufflinks for everyone because she doubted that any of them were fond of wearing necklaces or pendants. At the same time, none of her boys were fond of bracelets and buying a ring without knowing the size of the finger was a bad idea.

Brandon frowned when he saw a familiar figure after a lot of time.

Alaric!!

He had masked his, and the woman's with him scents. Brandon couldn’t help but wonder what he was doing here.

The last he had seen him in the little war in the Ever Green Pack. He had introduced himself as Lee’s friend. Brandon watched him silently and heard all the conversation that was going on around him. And by judging that, he could bet that Alaric was a part of the company and not just that he held some authority in the company. He wasn’t just some regular manager.

He cursed internally, not going through the detail of the company before coming here. He looked for Artemis, who held five percent holding in this company. He was positive that Artemis would have knowledge of everything about the company.

Brandon couldn’t help but could feel that Alaric’s presence over there wasn’t just a mere coincidence.
