Chapter 231: Chapter 231

“Thankfully, the dress is a little loose. Maybe because you’re fat compared to me, but this bel… bellies is tight because your foot is smaller than mine.” Moana said, looking at the golden bellies. Thankfully it was flat, or she wouldn’t have been able to walk even a little. Her toes still hurt, but at that moment, she got what Liara could manage at the last moment.

“Here!! Wear this watch on your wrist.” Liara said, giving her watch to her. “Please try not to lose anything. Please.” She requested, giving her the golden clutch to carry.

“I will try,” Moana mumbled.

"You look beautiful." Liara complimented her on which lips twitched, watching the girl in the mirror. Moana could hardly recognize herself.

"Yeah! But this isn’t the REAL me." Moana mumbled, loving the woman in the mirror. She liked this new look, but it wasn’t something that she could carry. Her mate had rejected her, finding her that she was rogue back then. Would he do the same by watching her in this look?

But who cared?

It wasn't that she wanted that douchebag in life again.

“Anyway! I will go and get some weapons….”

“Weapon? No, you can’t take that in the human world.” Liara exclaimed. “The security will be tight over there. So, if you want, please carry only those things that can’t be detected.” She explained, to which Moana nodded and tried to walk in that short bellies. She struggled a little, but with a deep breath, she controlled the pain and tried to walk as if she was barefoot.

Moana went straight to the weapon room, where only selected people were allowed to enter, and she was one of them. She didn’t miss how the people around her watched her. She wondered whether Liara used to feel this awkward by staying between them.

She carried multiple types of poisons in the form of perfume and kept them in the clutch that Liara had given to her. She informed Derik so that he could make an entry about it.

“Stop staring.” She growled at Derik, who was checking her out.

“Please don’t mind, Mo. I didn’t know you were…. This beautiful.” Moana ignored him and left from there, only to find her mother waiting for her outside the weapon room. She gasped, looking at Moana.

“Everyone was telling the truth,” Edolie muttered, looking at her from top to bottom.

“What truth?”

“That you look breathtaking,” Edolied whispered and reached near her. “I think you should think about choosing a mate.” She suggested so that she could move on from Theodore. That man wasn’t available. Edolie also wanted Moana to move on because she was scared that Moana wouldn’t end up repeating the same mistake again, which she did back then. She didn’t want to lose her.

“Choose someone? And who is that? Outsiders don’t want me because I’m a rogue. Not that I’m complaining about that part, and the male around me never think me as a woman until tonight. So, no thank you. And this… this is all temporary, Mom. I want someone like me, someone who can accept me like me.” Moana responded. “Now, excuse me!! I have to get back to my work.”

When Moana reached Liara’s place, she saw Chris there. “Make sure to drop Doctor Sara off safely,” Liara said, to which he nodded.

“Okay, Doctor,” Chris said and turned to leave when his eyes landed on Moana. He looked away quickly, and in the next second, he looked at her again with his eyes wide. “Moana?”

“Yes, loser.”

“Ouch! You’re still a bitch even after this makeover.” Chris commented before disappearing from there. This didn’t give Moana to answer him back, but she fumed in anger.

“Shall we?” Liara asked.

“Yes! Sure!” Moana agreed.

“Why did you bring her with you?” Theodore growled in an unpleasant tone, glaring at Moana. He wasn’t happy with Ambrose making Moana Liara’s bodyguard, but then he realized keeping the enemy closer would work to his benefit.

“Don’t you dare growl at my sister,” Liara said, slapping his arms.

‘Sister?’ Theodore repeated the word that she said. There were already a lot of people in her family dictionary, and now Moana was also added.

They reached the suite where Theodore had asked her to teleport with the help of a ring. “Also, she is doing her job.” She added, shutting his mouth.

“And look, who is here?” A big smile appeared on her face when she heard his voice.

“Alaric!!”

“Aren’t you the same girl who screamed loudly, finding me near you?” Alaric said, recalling those days. Though he was talking to Liara, his eyes were on the wolf who was glaring at him, maybe because he was a vampire. Maybe.

“Time flies.” Liara chuckled. She wanted to laugh at how she used to stammer while speaking to Theodore. “It’s so great to see you after so many years.”

“Same here!!”

Theodore was getting irritated by their conversation. Neither did he want Alaric nor Moana around, but Alaric was also a part of the company, so he couldn’t kick him out on this big day. And an idea clicked in his mind. How about he would tie them together so that they wouldn’t be third and fourth wheel between them?
