Chapter 172: Chapter 172
Theodore couldn't help but read about Daeva, 'demon of darkness -- Shadow demons, and they're savage, animalistic, nasty attitudes -- kinda like demonic pit bulls. These daevas, they have to be summoned. Conjured.
Daevas are a powerful and unique type of demon that functions differently from most other demons. They do not need a vessel to walk the earthly plane, As from that, That can make them quite dangerous.
Invisibility - They are naturally invisible, and only their shadows can be seen, which they require to manifest.
Teleportation - They seem to be able to move from place to place like regular demons and can be summoned to appear and certain locations through a ritualistic altar and amulet.
Claws - Used to rip and tear through flesh.
Super Strength - Much stronger than any man; they are also stronger than higher black-eyed demons.
Flight - It is possible they can fly as they only need light to roam freely
Being a unique demon, their vulnerability was also unique.
Light - Light could repel a daeva.
Magic - Daeva's can be controlled by the use of black magic.
Shutting the book, Theodore looked at his mate, who was sleeping peacefully. He wondered who could be those people who would want Liara.
Vampires? Witches? Or Demons?
She was just a day-year-old healer, and this happened? Whoever was behind this wouldn't sit quietly until they would have her.
He picked up his phone and started typing the message, 'Lia was targeted by Daevas, AKA shadow Demons.' He sent the message to the number that he remembered from the morning when Tiara had informed that person about his detail.
Colton Ethan Haysbert!!
It wasn't that Theodore doubted his strength, but he couldn't think of risking her life at any cost. At the same time, he didn't want to involve any of her family members by asking for help because of anything would happen to anyone, then Liara would start blaming herself except Colton, who loved playing hide and seek with death.
He had a habit of standing at the door of danger either to say hello to death or to bid goodbye to his enemies by killing them.
Theodore saw a double blue tick on his message, indicating to him that Colton had read the message, and in the next second, it turned into typing...
'I'm on it. Anything about Lee's safety, consider us in the same team.' There came his reply.
Theodore respected this man for his gesture. No matter what would be the situation, this man had a habit of standing in front of his family members in case of any danger. Theodore didn't want to involve Calvin or Artemis even though they were strong because they had a family behind them. Not to forget, Calvin was a single father. If anything would happen to him, then Roselet, his daughter, would be left alone without both mother and father.
Theodore canceled the plan for the honeymoon. He couldn't take the risk of roaming around freely when he knew that danger was out there, waiting for a perfect moment to attack them. Moreover, staying beside your mate meant a honeymoon every day and night.
Theodore deleted the messages and kept his phone aside before lying beside Liara. Even though he wouldn't sleep at night, he didn't want to miss this opportunity of watching her as the last thing of the day and waking up with her every day.

"Going to work?" Theodore asked her when he watched her getting ready.
"Umm yeah!! I have informed the higher authorities that I will be leaving here permanently and also…."
"It's okay, Love!! You don't have to explain me." Theodore said, cutting her in between. "Mrs. Gosling has sent some of the samples of hospital design. I was wondering if you could change it once."
"Caro is the best in her work, still…." Liara sat beside him and checked the attachment sent by Caroline in Theodore's email. She checked the number of rooms and all the department that was required in the hospital like, from reception to the Mortuary. "It's perfect for the beginning plan. I don't think I need to make any changes except for the security of the hospital. The security of the whole place should be double or triple compared to the pack hospital of other packs," She said and kissed his cheek before standing on her feet.
"I will be back as soon as possible, and then I will give a tour of this place, okay?" She said, changing the topic. Theodore hummed and had already decided to spend some time with the books while she would be away.
It had been a while since he had read something new.

When Liar reached the hospital, the news of last night was in everyone's mouths, even the fact that there was a big chance that the rogue in the academy had done this, but no one was taking action against it because he was the mate of the healer.
"Isn't it strange that Doctor Wayne is into saving people's lives while her mate enjoys killing them?"
"Maybe that's why Moon Goddess paired them together to control the damage." Gina, Liara's assistant Doctor, informed about the conversation to her when she reached her cabin.
"Ignore it, Doctor Gina. There is no use in explaining anything to anyone because no one is going to trust my mate anyway." Liara said, shrugging her shoulder when she got updated with the current gossip. She knew what the truth was, and so did the people sitting in the higher position. "For now, please inform Maya, the intern under me, to start sending the patient who is here to consult me," Liara said, to which Doctor Gina nodded her head before leaving the cabin. Meanwhile, she grabbed her notepad and a pen to note down the necessary thing that would be used as a prescription.
Maya walked into the cabin, taking a bundle of the file of the back history of the patients who had an appointment. Liara went through the first file and was about to ask her to send that person inside when her eyes landed on the file name 'Arline Gosling.' She quickly grabbed it and read her case.
'Poison in her body?' She thought in shock.
"Maya, call Arline and her parents first," Liara ordered, to which she nodded her head and went out to call Arline Gosling. Liara was expecting Artemis or Caroline with Arline, but her eyes widened when a man in his sixties and an older version of her brothers walked in holding Arline's hand.
'Dad?'
